Top 10 Rainbow Six Siege Operators

They're the boots on the ground, the breachers at the door, and the snipers watching your back. Or maybe waiting to take your head off. In Rainbow Six Siege, Operators aren't just characters. They're your strategy, your toolset, and your gamble each round.

Every Operator has a role to play and gear to match, designed to push your team to victory or throw the enemy into chaos. You choose them not just for what they carry, but for what they allow you to pull off. One can blow open walls, another can gather intel without stepping into the line of fire, and a third might hold a room so tight it becomes a death trap for anyone who tries to clear it.

Picking the right Operator can be the difference between a clean win and a total collapse. And that choice is never just about utility. It's personal.

This is your chance to show which Operators actually deserve to rise to the top and which ones are just taking up space. Every vote shapes the standings, turning collective experience into something solid.

The Top Ten
  1. Buck

Buck is a Canadian Attacker equipped with the Skeleton Key, an under-barrel shotgun attachment for breaching soft surfaces. He is part of the Joint Task Force 2 (JTF2) unit.

Fantastic operator with a simple but very versatile gadget. I love being able to swap to the shotgun quickly if I run out of ammo or am being pushed.

Being able to create kill holes from below or above the objective is devastating for the defenders. Chuck a couple of grenades into the mix, and you have one of the best operators you can play!

An all-rounder who can engage enemies from multiple angles. He is extremely versatile thanks to his fully automatic rifle, shotgun, and handgun.

When most ops can only carry two types of weapons at one time, he carries three.

  2. Thermite

Thermite is an American Attacker who uses the Exothermic Charge to breach reinforced walls. He serves in the FBI SWAT unit.

Besides Hibana, who can create small holes, Thermite is the only operator who can blow up a big hole through reinforced walls. Thermite is crucial to winning. It is possible without him, but it is easier with him.

So far, as I've used him, I think he is a really effective operator in R6 because you can fully attack the objective without heading in yourself.

Yet, he is kind of crappy if they have a Bandit.

Thermite's Exothermic Charges are almost essential for the attacking team if they want to get somewhere.

  3. Blackbeard

Blackbeard is a U.S. Navy SEAL Attacker who utilizes the H.U.L.L. Adaptable Shield to breach soft walls and provide cover. His loadout has evolved from a focus on static window holding to emphasizing tactical entry and aggressive site control. The gadget allows him to smash through obstacles while keeping his weapon ready for engagement.

The rifle shield is perfect for peeking around corners and not being picked off.

You don't understand how many times I have regretted peeking this guy while on defense.

  4. Lion

Lion is a French Attacker from GIGN who uses the EE-ONE-D drone to detect moving enemies within its scan radius. The drone reveals the real-time location of opponents who are not stationary.

  5. Castle

Castle is an American Defender from FBI SWAT who uses Armor Panels to reinforce doors and windows with bullet-resistant barricades. His gadget helps fortify defensive positions.

Castle's Armor Panels can easily change the game due to their high defense.

  6. Zofia

Zofia is a Polish Attacker from GROM equipped with the KS79 Lifeline, which launches concussion and impact grenades. Her gadget allows for both breaching and disorienting enemies.

She is one of the best ops in the game because:

    1. Her weapons are amazing.

    2. Her gadget is really good and versatile, with concussion mines that detonate in proximity to defenders, and her impact grenades are really helpful for opening up lines of sight.

    3. She is thick.

My favorite operator and main. By far the best operator in the game.

No recoil M762 and useful gadgets that can destroy walls and concuss other operators.

  7. Ash

Ash is an FBI SWAT Attacker who uses the M120 CREM, a breaching round launcher that fires explosive projectiles at soft surfaces. She is known for initiating attacks quickly.

Ash is a fast, agile, light tank. As long as you know how to use her, you'll be getting 3+ kills almost every attacking round. She has a breaching charge that you can fire from safety, instead of placing a breaching round from close quarters and possibly getting killed.

She's quiet, too. The enemy will barely know you're coming, and once it's too late for them, you'll already be in the objective. Ash has two deadly and, in my opinion, the best weapons in the game. If you are a rushing, one-man army killing machine, then Ash is your number one go-to person.

Ash is a great rusher if you know how to use her properly. She has a great weapon: R4-C and G36C.

  8. Frost

Frost is a Canadian Defender from JTF2 who uses the Welcome Mat, a mechanical trap that immobilizes enemies. Her gadget is effective for area denial and flanking routes.

I just started using Frost, and she is starting to become my main operator other than Cav. Frost's traps help sometimes, but they mostly help against shield operators because all they do is crouch and walk very slowly.

    Also, her gun is overpowered.

Weapons are fun to use, the ability is simple to learn, and the operator is useful to the team.

When traps are placed correctly, it is nearly impossible to enter the objective.

  9. Rook

Rook is a French Defender from GIGN who deploys armor plates that provide additional protection to teammates. His gadget is placed at the start of the round for team-wide benefit.

Best defender for new players. Great operator with high win rates.

  10. Hibana

Hibana is a Japanese Attacker from the SAT unit who uses the X-KAIROS launcher to deploy explosive pellets on reinforced surfaces. Her gadget allows for precise breaching from a distance.

She should be in the top 10 because her guns are amazing. A long or mid-range rifle combined with an SMG is amazing.

It is beautiful, and combined with Thermite's breach, it makes her amazing.

Hibana allows the team to hard breach from a distance. She is a better Thermite as she can do this from a distance.

She is the perfect mix of Ash and Thermite, who are already two of the best operators in the game.

  11. The Newcomers
  12. ?

    Finka

Finka is a Belarusian Attacker from CBRN who uses the Adrenal Surge to boost team health and revive downed allies. Her gadget also reduces recoil temporarily.

  13. ?

    Nomad

Nomad is a Moroccan Attacker from GIGR who uses Airjab Launchers to deploy non-lethal knockback mines. These mines detonate on proximity and can displace enemies from their positions.

  14. The Contenders
  15. Thatcher

Thatcher is a British Attacker from SAS who uses EMP grenades to disable enemy electronics. His gadget affects a wide radius and works through walls.

You really can't run any hard breacher without Thatcher. If for some reason you don't, the enemy Bandit or Mute will seriously mess you up. Plus, the grenades work through walls.

And he can take claymores. Enough said.

  16. Sledge

Sledge is a British SAS Attacker armed with a tactical breaching hammer called The Caber. He can silently and quickly breach destructible surfaces.

Best attacker for beginners. Still good for advanced players.

If you time his hammer well with his shotgun, it can be a winning combination.

  17. Fuze

Fuze is a Russian Attacker with the ability to deploy cluster charges that release multiple explosives into rooms. He is a member of the Spetsnaz unit.

Picks Fuze on hostage. Gets kicked from the game.

  18. Tachanka

Tachanka is a Russian Defender originally known for deploying a mounted LMG, later reworked to carry a deployable Shumikha Launcher. He belongs to the Spetsnaz unit.

He is the lord and savior of Siege. Also, his rework is going to make him super powerful.

  19. Valkyrie

Valkyrie is a U.S. Navy SEAL Defender who deploys Black Eye cameras to provide additional surveillance. These cameras can be thrown and give real-time visual intel.

The best Defender for intel. Her cameras can be thrown at any surface and are hard to spot if the attacking team forgot to pick IQ. Although the TTK is unreliable versus 3-armor attackers, her MPX has no recoil at all, making it easier to spray for headshots and engage targets in long corridors.

Also, her Nitro Cell is great for denying incursions from windows and breached surfaces.

  20. Jäger

Jäger is a German Defender from GSG 9 who deploys the Active Defense System to intercept and destroy enemy projectiles. His device provides protection against grenades and other explosives.

Best defender in the game for obvious reasons.

I get many spawn peeks with Jager. It's fun making people rage quit. Give me my ACOG back.

  21. Jackal

Jackal is a Spanish Attacker from the GEO unit who can scan and track enemy footprints using his Eyenox Model III. His gadget helps locate roamers and hidden Defenders.

The C7E is amazing. His weapons make him a tank (AR, SMG, and a shotgun), and the fact that he can track opponents makes him the best operator in the game.

2-speed, 2-armor is definitely my favorite, and Jackal has that.

Good weapons and his skill are perfect for making opponents struggle.

  22. Caveira

Caveira is a Brazilian Defender from BOPE who can silently move with her Silent Step ability and interrogate downed enemies to reveal their locations. She specializes in stealth and disruption.

When interrogated, it reveals the opponent's location, and they never see it coming.

  23. Mute

Mute is a British Defender from SAS who uses Signal Disruptors to jam enemy electronics within range. His gadget can prevent drones and remote detonations.

He can stop drones, which helps a lot with shock drones.

Super underrated. Love this operator so much!

  24. Smoke

Smoke is a British Defender from SAS equipped with remote-detonated gas canisters that deal damage over time. His gas is particularly effective in slowing down pushes.

  25. Ela

Ela is a Polish Defender from GROM who uses Grzmot Mines, proximity-triggered concussion devices. These mines disorient enemies and are deployable on most surfaces.

  26. Dokkaebi

Dokkaebi is a South Korean Attacker from the 707th SMB who uses the Logic Bomb to hack enemy phones and trigger audible buzzing. She can also hack dead enemies' phones to access Defender cameras.

  27. Glaz

Glaz is a Russian Attacker from Spetsnaz equipped with the OTs-03 marksman rifle featuring a thermal scope. His gadget allows for enhanced vision through smoke.

  28. Echo

Echo is a Japanese Defender from SAT who controls a drone called Yokai, capable of emitting sonic bursts that disorient enemies. The drone can also provide live camera feed.

I love his drones and everything about him!

  29. Mira

Mira is a Spanish Defender from GEO who uses the Black Mirror, a one-way bulletproof mirror installed on reinforced walls. This gadget provides safe visual access to the other side.
