The Top Ten
1 Elden Ring

I hate this game and I have beaten it.
Basically it tries to be an absurdly hard game and fails at it miserably. If you want a ridiculously hard game released in 2022, look at the Downpour DLC for Rain World; that stuff is insane.

This is the best game ever! Any idiot who hates Elden Ring cannot beat it. Love the Radagon fight, although the Beast could use some help.

GOTY if not greatest game of all time! I have never sank more hours into a game like Elden Ring! This game is utterly amazing!

2 Pokémon Legends: Arceus

After multiple years of making very good, but never really incredible games, Game Freak finally made what I may call a masterpiece. There are issues in this game that maybe Scarlet and Violet will fix to create the ultimate pokemon experience, but other than that, the ambiance, the exploration, the new mechanics for catching pokemons, as well as the noble fights, all make this game stand above the rest of the franchise.

I Just love pokemon, so when This came out I saved all my money just to play this! Worth the wait the the fun!

3 Kirby and the Forgotten Land

Kirby's introduction to the 3d world is done as perfectly as HAL always makes these games. This contest is between one of the best introductions to video games of all time, a game with a couple hundred monsters, and a game that half of us don't even know.
The choice is clear: vote for Kirby!

What I find so great about Kirby and the Forgotten Land, is that even though it is the first 3D Kirby game, it is at is core just like every Kirby games, but despite that, it still manages to be an incredible adventure that stands out from the rest of the franchise. The game looks and sounds absolutely incredible, the copy abilities works very well in 3D, the bosses are amazing, the levels are amazing, and I love the completionist experience of that game, since there is so much to do, and it's all fun. Maybe a future indie game, Sonic Frontiers or Pokemon Scarlet and Violet will overtrone, but for now, Kirby and the Forgotten Land is my favorite game of 2022.

4 Sonic Frontiers

Sonic has finally succeeded in getting a good game. The characterization is amazing, showing the series isn't staying stagnant.

I have played quite a big part of that game by now, and I must say this game is really excellent. I will tell more about my thoughts on this game on my 2022 retrospective though.

This game is very good I have it and It's brilliant!

5 Horizon Forbidden West
6 WWE 2K22

I've quite enjoyed the game and I plan on playing it a ton more! Wish I had others to play with but hey I love the this game.

I Definitely enjoyed playing this game! 10/10!

7 God of War Ragnarök

Absolute masterpiece, in my opinion. Great mix of gameplay, visuals, story, music, and character development. I still can't get over how many good scenes there are in this game. People call it a "movie game" because it has a lot of cutscenes, but that's just straight-up wrong. A "movie game" is Death Stranding.

God of War Ragnarök is as good as it's predecessor from 2018. Santa Monica Studios keeps pumping out masterpieces!

8 Xenoblade Chronicles 3
9 Dying Light 2 Stay Human
10 Pokémon Scarlet and Violet

This is a game I am very mixed about with many things I wished were better and many things I absolutely love. I also should mention I don't mind the glitches that much and think the game has more fundamental issues. More info on my thoughts in my 2022 video games retrospective, but yeah.

Pokemon Scarlet and Violet is a dreamworld.

The Contenders
11 Splatoon 3

I've been playing this game for a long time, and seeing a third game release is awesome. splatoon 3 feels so amazing, with the turf wars, salmon runs, big run and splatfests, and story like there is a BUNCH of things in splatoon! playing the story was really fun, and it wasnt short! spatoon is a valid game, and is one of my favorites!

12 Gran Turismo 7

I played Gran Turismo 5, and it's a great game. I'm sure Gran Turismo 7 will be great too.

13 Stranger of Paradise: Final Fantasy Origin
14 Lego Star Wars: The Skywalker Saga

Despite the addition to the sequels it is still one of the best releases of 2022

15 Life is Strange: Remastered Collection
16 Stray

Far better than I expected. Very original and memorable, making a big impression despite its short playtime.

17 Mario Strikers: Battle League

Ok! Add this game to the list of games that I love that are somewhat depressing to talk about. So, I really like this game. Top tier animations, nice gameplay with lots of depth... I just wish it had more content, and I'm somewhat tired of every Nintendo multiplayer focused games on the Swith ever, to lack content. They will add new characters and stadium later on but that's not really what I'm looking for.

It's looked pretty cool from gameplay videos and I really plan on optioning it this winter

18 Bayonetta 3

This is the Kingdom Hearts 3 of the Bayonetta series. A long awaited game that turned out to be a poorly written disappointment.

19 PAC-MAN World Re-PAC

This is very interesting remake of a pretty damn good platformer. Trying to get the best score possible in those games is quite entertaining, and it's a great platformer overall, and while I never played the original, I have heard a lot about it, and a lot seems to have changed for the better.

20 Call of Duty: Modern Warfare II
21 Sonic Origins

Like Sonic Colors Ultimate, Sonic Origins is a rerelease of a Sonic games that is unpolished and could have been better, but just like Colors Ultimate, I still love it despite that and have good reasons too, and at least it is way less embarassing than Colors Ultimate. I love the coin system of that game, and how it allows to play the game with infinite lives and retry special stages, the menus look cool, we have amazing animated cutscenes that were added for the game, the drop dash was added to Sonic's moveset which is great, we get some cool content like videos and artwork, and the mission mode gives you content that wasn't in the original games. I just wish there were some adjustment here and there.

22 Poppy Playtime

I have not played it, but I have seen the walkthrough and the detail and thought put into this game is tremendous and the story, oh the story is great. It may not be kid appropriate, but it still is a fantastic game.

23 The King of Fighters XV
24 Rune Factory 5
25 Klonoa Phantasy Reverie Series

The fact a new generation now able to play those cult classics is amazing, and that includes me! I really loved playing those two games!
