Top 10 Grunge Anthems

There's been one for Nu Metal and Post- Grunge so it's only fair that regular Grunge should have a list for it to. I'll be excluding Post- Grunge bands for this list. I'll also be excluding: Bush and The Smashing Pumpkins. Because neither of those bands are Grunge and sound more Post- Grunge like than anything.

1 Life Wasted - Pearl Jam

Not exactly a popular song but it's still a anthem in my book.

2 Hunger Strike - Temple of the Dog

3 Rooster - Alice in Chains

It's a war song but still counts in my book.

4 Come As You Are - Nirvana

Not as much as a anthem as the overrated STLS but still a anthem.

5 Smells Like Teen Spirit - Nirvana

This song is overrated as hell but it's a well known anthem, I thought it would be cliché if it was number one.

6 Black Hole Sun - Soundgarden

7 Alive - Pearl Jam

I had to include it at some point.

8 Man in the Box - Alice in Chains

I think this song and Come As You Are should be number 1.-DarkBoi-X

9 Jesus Christ Pose - Soundgarden

I think that Outshined would be a good pick to.

10 Nearly Lost You - Screaming Trees

Screaming Trees might have not been popular compared to the likes of Nirvana and Pearl Jam but they definitely had a few excellent anthem-esque songs.

If you're wondering why I'm including a Foo Fighters song the answer is simple their first album was Grunge, everything past that was Post- Grunge.
