Created by Shigeru Miyamoto, it first appeared in the Nintendo Entertainment System video game Super Mario Bros., where it dropped enemies called Spinies on the stage. These guys are so annoying and ruthless, the Spiny wouldn't be here if Lakitu didn't constantly throw them down. Lakitu is also hard to beat because they stay in the air on their little cloud. The game "Super Princess Peach" for the Nintendo DS even says Lakitu is annoying.
In Kirby's Return to Dreamland, they were a little annoying, but not too annoying, but in Kirby Triple Deluxe for the Nintendo 3DS, these guys are complete jerks, because the 3D aspect of the game gives them the advantage of more ways to commit suicide.

Him losing his memory during Mario & Luigi: Superstar Saga should've been the last I would ever see of him.
