Top Ten Heaviest Songs of the 1960s

The Top Ten
1 Kick Out the Jams - Mc5

I would make this list,it was in my draft. Anyway good choice for this being on number 1.

I agree with this song at #1.

2 Return to Sanity - Andromeda

This song is very obscure but it's incredibly good - interesting composition, very good vocals.

3 Just a Little Bit - Blue Cheer
4 I Wanna Be Your Dog - Stooges
5 The Nile Song - Pink Floyd

This song sounds to me like a Nirvana song, especially the vocals - a Nirvana of the 60s.

6 Inside Looking Out - Grand Funk Railroad
7 21st Century Schizoid Man - King Crimson
8 Dazed and Confused - Led Zeppelin

The bridge/outro is the closest part Led Zeppelin ever got to metal. The whole song sounds kinda sinisterly as well

9 Helter Skelter - The Beatles
10 Love in the Rain - Edgar Broughton Band
The Contenders
11 Whole Lotta Love - Led Zeppelin

If you play the riff with a new guitar and good amp then the riff sound very heavy, for a 60s song this song is quite heavy.

12 Death Warmed Up - High Tide
13 I Want You (She's So Heavy) - The Beatles

For me this song is heavier and darker than Helter Skelter.

14 Good Times Bad Times - Led Zeppelin
15 In-A-Gadda-Da-Vida - Iron Butterfly
16 Voodoo Child (Slight Return) - Jimi Hendrix
17 Caledonia - Cromagnon

This needs an honorable mention
