Top 10 Ingredients for a Garden Salad

There are several types of salads. Garden salads use mostly vegetables and fruits.
The Top Ten
1 Tomatoes

Tomatoes, cucumbers and peppers are technically fruits.

2 Cucumbers
3 Lettuce

My favorites are: Boston, Iceberg, Arugula, Curly red leaf lettuce

4 Peppers
5 Onions

Also green onions

6 Feta
7 Vinaigrette Dressing

Vinaigrettes are based on a mixture (emulsion) of salad oil and vinegar, often flavored with herbs, spices, salt, pepper, sugar, and other ingredients.
If you have no vinaigrette dressing, just add any oil (ex., olive oil, canola, sunflower oil), vinegar, salt and herbs (ex., fresh parsley).

8 Olives
9 Cherry Tomatoes
10 Croutons
The Contenders
11 Wild Garlic

Also known as ramsons, buckrams, broad-leaved garlic, wood garlic, bear leek, or bear's garlic. It is a wild relative of chives native to Europe and Asia (but wild garlic is available in North America).
Its leaves have garlic taste and smell but it's a lot milder.

12 Hard Boiled Eggs
13 Carrots The carrot is a root vegetable, usually orange in colour, though purple, black, red, white, and yellow cultivars exist. Carrots are a domesticated form of the wild carrot, Daucus carota, native to Europe and southwestern Asia.
14 Green Onions
15 Parsley
16 Vegetable Oil

Such as olive oil, canola, sunflower oil

17 Vinegar
18 Salt
19 Celery
