Egnomac's Loud House Episode Review Season 3 Episode 2B Insta-Gran

egnomac S3E2B Insta-Gran, Pop Pop introduces the family to his new girlfriend Myrtle and at first she's great until she begins showing up unannounced and becomes too smothering towards the kids.

The episode starts with the Loud family as they prepare to meet Pop Pop and his new girlfriend Myrtle for dinner as Rita is about to introduced the kids Myrtle tells her there's no need as she names them all and in birth order which impresses Lynn Sr. During dinner and throughout the night the family really takes a liking to Myrtle with her friendly and lively personality and has so much for with her until its time for her and Pop Pop to leave as they ask her to come back soon which she assures them she'll take them up on their offer as they leave Lisa while carrying her fecal slides which she was going to show them to Myrtle yells at them to wait but as she makes her way down the stairs she trips and her fecal slides literally fall on the family as they scream in terror. The Next day as the kids return home from school they are surprised to find Myrtle in their home who is vacuuming as she tells them she found their hide-a-key which Luna points out was under the thorn bushes as Myrtle also adds she fount their bandages while saying she couldn't wait to spend more time with her 11 new grand kids as she pulls out a box of sweaters which the kids are not too happy to wear as they soon begin to realize how incredibly smothering Myrtle can be.

Throughout the day the kids find out the extent of Myrtle's smothering nature as she redecorated Lucy's side of the room from dark and gloomy to pink and colorful, dry cleaned all of Lynn's jersey's, interrupted Lisa's web lecture then causes an explosion while cleaning out her beakers, gives Lincoln a haircut as he now has a bowl cut as Luan pops out and makes another pun "That's haircut really bowls me over", cleaned off Lana and Lola make up and mud, deleted all of Lori and Leni's episodes of Nail Polish Wars which she claimed the language was too negative. She later leaves stating that she'll be back to visit again soon as the kids are fed up with Myrtle's smothering nature and after Lola finds her daily planner which has the schedule of all the kids activities such as Lynns' games for the rest of the season, Lisa's conference in Sweden and Lori's next date with Bobby, Lincoln states that they need to do something as they can't live like this as Luna points out about his awful haircut and hands him a head cover, Lola suggest they should break her and Pop Pop up and while the kids are hesitant at first they eventually agree however Lori asks how they're going to do this as Lincoln remembers that Pop Pop said that Seymour had his eye on Myrtle as Lana points out the left one.

Next scene the kids arrive at Sunset Canyon Retirement home where they take photos of both Seymour and Myrtle and photo shop them together to make them look like they are kissing in order to make Pop Pop jealous, while they are all in the van Lynn goes off while in her ninja gear to slip the photo under Pop Pop's door, she shortly returns and as the kids are ready to leave they are startled by Myrtle who has spotted them and thinks that they're here for her birthday party as they reluctantly go along with it. As they get ready for Myrtle's birthday as they wait for Pop Pop they notice that there's nobody else as they ask if her family is coming as Myrtle tells them that she really doesn't have a family as she goes on saying that she was an only child and spend her whole life living it up that she never really got around to getting married and never really missed having a family until she met Pop Pop and them and even though their not her real family but they do feel like them to her. Shortly after Lori asks for them to be excused to use the bathroom as the kids gather near the bathrooms as they finally realize why Myrtle has been so smothering towards them that she's just trying to make up for lost time as they all feel bad for trying to ruin her and Pop Pop relationship but Lincoln brings up the photo they made earlier as Lincoln and Lynn go off to get the photo back, Lana and Lola go off to distract Myrtle while the others go and find Pop Pop and keep him away from his room and in a hilarious fourth wall break Lincoln notices Lynn now in her ninja outfit as he asks when did she changed her outfit as Lynn points out what happened to his bowl cut.

Lincoln and Lynn break into Pop Pop's room and find out their too late as Pop Pop has found the picture and tore it up moments later they hear screaming coming from the pool are where they find Pop Pop chasing after Seymour as he accuses him of trying to take Myrtle from him Pop Pop knocks him into the pool as Lynn and Lincoln walk in telling him to let him go Pop Pop of course doesn't listen and jumps into the pool with Seymour and attacks him as Lynn and Lincoln try to stop him Lori and the others walk in hearing the commotion as Lincoln then tells him that the photo was fake as they explain the whole situation to him as they tell him they were trying to break him and Myrtle up that is until they found out about how Myrtle never had a family Pop Pop forgives the kids for their actions as the episode ends with Myrtle's birthday party as the kids finally accept her as their new grandmother which has Myrtle feeling overjoyed as the kids shortly leave Scoots yells as Seymour for staring at her cake as she states he already had a piece as Seymour poinst out that his left eye has a mind of his own and the episode ends.

Without a doubt its another GOOD EPISODE and very heartwarming and Myrtle is such a lovable character who is voiced by Jennifer Coolidge who you might remember plays Stifler's mom in the American Pie movies and the voice of Lazy Suzan in Gravity Falls and Aunt Fanny in Robots, little known fact Myrtle was based on storyboard artist Darin McGowan's grandmother who also story boarded the episode. The episode was just so much fun to watch and seeing Myrtle interacting with the kids and seeing the kids liking her to disliking her when she begins smothering them later in the episode and then later finally accepting her as their new grandmother once they find out about how lonely she is, defiantly recommend this episode.
