Best Male Singers

The Contenders: Page 8

141 Conner Reeves
142 Joe Elliot

Definitely Leppard was one of the best things to come out of the eighties. Still going strong in this century. Joe loves music and it shows. Love the cover tune he does of "rock on", by David Essex. All the classic definitely Leppard songs are great. But when it's just him and an acoustic guitar his voice is really beautiful. A little raspy, a little sexy, a little English charm!

Dream Academy... One of my faves!

144 John Fogerty

His songs just never get old, nor does the way he sings them. Move him up!

145 Alex Kapranos
146 Robert Johnson Robert Johnson
147 Sting Sting Gordon Matthew Thomas Sumner CBE, known professionally by his stage name Sting, is an English musician, singer, songwriter, multi-instrumentalist, activist, actor, and philanthropist.

Cool man with cool voice!!! Really good bassist! By the way, he can play the guitar very good! Really cool man!

The only man that beats out James Brown, Sting's voice is glorious on so many levels; not to leave out the fact that he plays some of the best bass lines while he sings in The Police.

Without doubt, the greatest songwriter and most beautiful male voice of all time.

Sting at 145th place?

151 Michael McDonald

Top 20 at best. This guy can out sing half of the people you put on this list.

Has the most soulful voice in music. Makes you feel feelings you didn't even think existed.

Are you folks crazed. He should be number one.

152 Kellin Quinn Kellin Quinn This is a redirect from a person who is a member of a group to a general, related topic, such as the group name, organization, ensemble or team of membership.

Honestly, no other male can match the vocal talent this man has. As well as killer unclean vocals and a voice that you fall in love with the first time hearing, possible to be one of the best ever.

It's a shame that everyone in the genre of post-hardcore is over looked for being "satanic". They say that kellin sounds like a girl? I'd rather listen to that "girl" kellin then that "boy" Justin beiber

There is no denying the fact that this guy is an amazing singer. His vocal range, the way he shifts from screaming to clean singing and the control he has on his voice is praiseworthy. Vote up.

My god he's at 11?! What!? He's the best singer Ever! Amazing passion whenever he sings how is he below Kanye?

153 Dave Mustaine Dave Mustaine more.

Great guitarist with a great and powerful voice.

The greatest Cat Voice of the Century

Should be #1! Who made this list, how are any of these other singers better than Dave, greatest voice there is! 486 is just ludicrous!

154 Ne-yo Ne-yo Shaffer Chimere Smith, better known by his stage name Ne-Yo, is an American R&B singer, songwriter, record producer, dancer and actor.
155 George Ezra

With his amazing rich and smooth tone he should be right up there with the likes of Freddie Mercury, bright eyes, sound of silence etc etc, absolute classics even today

Very beautiful voice that has depth! He is the best!

156 Johnny Van Zant

It was Ronnie VanZant who made Skynyrd a success, not Johnny. Obviously you don't have to be living to be included in this survey, so this is Ronnie's spot.

157 Adam Gontier Adam Gontier Adam Wade Gontier is a Canadian musician and songwriter. He is the lead singer, rhythm guitarist and main songwriter for Saint Asonia, but is best known as the former lead singer, rhythm guitarist and main songwriter of the Canadian rock band Three Days Grace.

We're talking about Adam Gontier here. Enough said!
All the others are there because they are either famous or were involved in classic rock, not Hard Rock like Adam. He is the best singer ever. His live performances often surpass the studio versions. He reeks of awesomeness and quality!

Adam Gontier is such a great singer and is pretty versatile. He sings with such emotion both in studio and live, and is amazing at both. He is definitely better than a lot of pop artists on this list - I don't know why he's so far down on the list.

I'm seeing comments about him having a range of 4 1/2 octaves - what notes are in this range (for example, B2 to A4 - I'm not saying that is his range)? I can't find anything other than "low tenor to high bass". Thanks! - noname

Adam Gontier has the most beautiful, shiver inducing voice. I just can't comprehend how it's possible for him to not be higher up on this list. Clearly, you all need to listen to some Three Days Grace, and listen to his beautiful voice that just screams with all his emotions. I don't mean to bash singers like Michael Jackson, but I could never get into their voices. They never made me feel like Adam's voice did.

That's sad! He is an amazing singer, he loves his fans, he sings with so much emotion, and his voice is pure natural, and he isn't even in the top 150! :(

He was born in Forfar and lived in Kirriemuir, Scotland, for 5 years before moving to Melbourne, Australia, more.

He is great and I am not just saying that he's better than robert plant and I am a huge ass fan of robert plant but bon scott is better that's a fact and he's the greatest ever! And that's fact

Highway to Hell arguably the greatest rock and roll song.
If not the best at least incomparable. Unique without comparison.

Bon Scott Has An Awesome voice how can he be down here?

Extraordinary voice, kind of Robert Plant

159 Roger Daltrey Roger Daltrey Roger Harry Daltrey, is an English singer and actor. In a music career spanning more than 50 years, Daltrey came to prominence in the mid 1960s as the founder and lead singer of the English rock band The Who, which released fourteen singles that entered the Top 10 charts in the United Kingdom during more.

Why is he so low? The scream on Won't Get Fooled Again alone should get him in the top 50. And where on earth is the man who sang Hotel California, Don Henley?

He makes you feel all the human emotions with just his voice!

You are my biggest fan and I love you my name is Jennifer jaspers

126?! This guy is a singing God! - ikedrums

160 Kyo Kyo Kyo is a Japanese musician, poet and singer-songwriter. He is best known as the vocalist of the metal band Dir en grey. He has been with the band since its inception in 1997 and was formerly in La:Sadie's.

His range in singing, screeching, and growling blows me away. Then, just as I think that his vocals couldn't get any better, he adds an indescribable amount of emotion; anger, hatred, sorrow, hopelessness, who knows what else. That's what makes him a great vocalist and artist and what makes him one of the best in the world.

Kyo's vocal range and versatility along with his pure expressive emotion put into his performances makes him without a doubt the best I've heard.

WAY more range than Jackson! Don't get me wrong Jackson was a good singer but really!? Number 1? You people need to listen to MORE music like Dir en Grey! - MeowMix

Genius. God of all music. Jackson? Haha - tenthsage
