Best Melodic Death Metal Guitarists
He's really an incredible guitarist. I love his riffs and solos.
Credit to him as an amazing songwriter and guitarist
The best. You can't beat the solo to Kissing the Shadows
The best ever and my idol
I love Insomnium but this guy doesn't deserve the 2nd place. Antti Kokko should be number 1 as he is technically in line with and perhaps even better than Alexi and he's far more mature and creative as well.
Insomnium is good but you can't put it's guitarist at #2. A guitarist has to have some great technical skills and fast playing like Antti and Alexi.
Has the best guitar solos in melodic death metal. Such an underrated guitarist.
This man is the king in the world of melodic death metal. Absolutely love his ability to blend technicality with melody. His every solo is just a brilliant masterpiece. Also he is a highly underrated metal guitarist.
The best ever! His guitar play is legendary
Most under rated guitarist of all time.
Number 7? This list is wrong...
Jari is far superior technically than even laiho, and his solos are majesteticly melodic and technical at the same time, and he plays them perfectly live. Aand his rhythm and leads are totally on par with each other.
Alexi and Antti are both very talented (as well as everyone else on here) but honestly this guy has done things that not even they can.
This guy is as skilled as Alexi or Antti. Please do vote!
He does it very well... Insomnium's lyrics is based about sadness and sorrow and Ville does it very well...
He took Arch Enemy to a whole new level
Great guitar playing. Amon Amarth wouldn't be what it is today without him.
The creativity and technical prowess Brendon puts on display on Dethalbum II and Dethalbum III rank as some of the most memorable and orchestral musicianship in Melodic Death Metal history. Not at Alexi's level, but should be top 5 at least. Need proof? The Galaxy, Ghostqueen, Bloodlines, I Tamper With the Evidence at the Murder Site of Odin, Rejoin...
Had personal issues after come clarity and made the choice to leave. The was the end of the most consistent and melodic death metal sound we've ever experienced. Still love the new stuff but it almost sounds like a different band without him.
In Jesper I trust
I love in Flames Songs and a big part why is because of the tremendous guitar rifs
