Michael Schenker, a German guitarist, was an original member of the hard rock band Scorpions, which was co-founded by his elder brother, Rudolf Schenker. During the mid-1970s, Schenker joined UFO, where he showcased his skills on both lead and rhythm guitar. In 1978, he briefly rejoined Scorpions for the recording of Lovedrive before going on to establish MSG.
