Most Hauntingly Beautiful and Sad Songs
The Contenders: Page 5
I have been looking for this song for so long I thought it was just a figment from my imaginationV 1 Comment
Touching lyrics sung by a beautiful voice Makes me cry.
This song pays tribute to the lead singer (Jenna McDougall)'s childhood friend Amelia McGuiness who passed away in a skiing accident when she was 16. The rest of the songs on the album are your generic pop punk songs, but this song left me breathless the first time I heard it. It took me so long to stop crying when I listen to this, because the lyrics are so powerful and capture exactly how loved Amelia was. I strongly recommend to listen to this as it is truly a beautiful song and is one of the few songs that I can overplay and still love. Even the way that the guitar, bass and drums are done is so clever that it makes the beautiful lyrics even more meaningful.
This is a beautiful song and it really resonates with me as I can relate as it sums up how I feel towards a close friend of mine who has been diagnosed with a terminal illness. The song is truly beautiful and there is so much meaning behind it
Listen to it when it's quiet, and you'll see what I mean. Imagine it's about a loved one of your own who has passed on.
This song means so much to me. While I was falling to pieces she came and hold my hand. Thank you Christina for making me a Fighter.
She saved my life. She is a lifesaver and this song is from her soul her heart... QUEENTINA!
I love this song! The lyrics are so cynical, yet beautiful. 10 years is known for their poetic lyrics, this song stands out from their others because of the haunting/sad atmosphere it creates.
The vocals are dark and haunting, the instrumental is almost ethereal. Quite depressing.
This songs seems happy upon first listening, but once you read the lyrics and explore the meaning of the song you realise how sad it is... How'd you like to be a robot who lasts forever, while those you care about grow old and die?
This song is so sad but beautiful at the same time! It is my favourite love song in the entire world because of how beautiful it sounds and how it is slow and catchy at the same time! - cutiepiestarlight
Best band in the universe
This song captures so much pain and anguish though powerful vocals and a haunting guitar.
Thy lyrics and musical arrangement quite perfectly fit the list title.
The most haunting song I've ever heard. Petra is (was) a hard rock band of the 80's and 90's. I heard this song at a concert, and when it was over, the concert hall was deathly silent. Song never hit the charts as far as I know, but it sure did slice though me (and apparently everyone else that was there). Is it too late for Annie?
This should be called, "Hauntingly Beautiful." Makes me think the end of days is on the rise. I can see buildings toppling, the ocean swallowing all the continents, the sun speeding into the earth and scorching us all to char. Very emotionally stimulating.
This song fits the description of haunting and beautiful perfectly. Once you listen to it you'll see.
I made a video for my Dad's memorial to this. Hauntingly beautiful is exactly right.
Especially haunting and riveting as sung by this young lady at age 9. From her first (and self-produced) album "Prelude To A Dream". This was released before her appearance on "America's Got Talent".
A song written about a real child who died... Doesn't get much sadder than this. - BobG
Saddest song Jackie's sung.
