Top 10 Best Movies of 2021

The Top Ten
1 Zack Snyder's Justice League Zack Snyder's Justice League Product Image

This is the movie that should have been given to us in cinemas back in November 2017. And it's a damn shame this was snubbed in favour of a heavily abridged trainwreck that did no justice (pun intended) for the DCEU and everyone who was involved in the project.

To put it to perspective, this version of the film is a love letter to DC fans and it does a great job on that. It does have its issues, that's for sure, but one thing that I will acknowledge is that this may be the most satisfying movie of the year, or at least in terms of the circumstances that led to having this cut finally be a reality.

This is the best superhero movie I have ever seen. Zack Snyder you absolute genius!

This is one of the greatest movies of all time, would recommend it.

Zack Snyder did justice (pun intended) in this film!

Way better than the theatrical 'cut'.

2 Godzilla vs. Kong Godzilla vs. Kong Product Image

Man I can watch this all day if I had a choice it's so fun watching monsters brawl.

Mechagodzilla is definitely the best part of this film. My only criticism is the music...not as good as KOTM's soundtrack

Best movie of 2021. Would have loved to experience it in theatres.

Better than that overrated Justice League movie.

3 Black Widow Black Widow Product Image

Psychic Jeane Dixon lied about the world ending in 2020. Covid 19 pandemic delayed big budget films to a different release. I made the right choice by not wasting 30 dollars to watch Black Widow on Disney Plus streaming. It looked better watching that Marvel film in cinema during the pandemic. Here is the review.

This took place just before Avengers Endgame. All I can simply say is that Black Widow is a good film. Don't expect this MCU film to win an Oscar for Best Picture. Scarlett Johansson is a great actress who can beat up the bad guys and save the day. The special effects were awesome. There were some scenes that made some references to Robocop and Transformers franchises. Even though Loki and Ultron have been defeated, there is a villain who wants to conquer the world with advanced technology and military weaponry. It felt like WW3 was about to break out. I mean, the plot sounded unrealistic at first. Disney likes to recycle the saving the world in an unrealistic way ...more

This movie is the best! but they really stuffed up by streaming it on Disney plus and lost Scarlett Johansson. But the movie is great

Pretty much your average MCU movie, but being average in that incredible film series means that it's great

4 The Suicide Squad The Suicide Squad Product Image

This movie really impressed me. Mainly because it's been a while since I've seen a big-budget Hollywood movie have the guts to be this ridiculous and outright weird. The movie clearly knows how silly and crazy it is, and it doesn't take itself too seriously. At the same time, it does have characters you care about and has plenty of surprisingly touching moments throughout the insanity that it throws at you. The characters in the movie are really what make it great, and I really like how each member of the cast plays off one another. If I were to compare it to any other comic book movies in terms of its tone and sense of humor, I would compare it to the Deadpool movies, but The Suicide Squad still has plenty of unique moments that make it stand out as its own thing. Watching this movie was just a very entertaining experience.

I'm blown away by this. It made a much better job than I expected. This time I actually love the characters and there's actually some emotional moments. James Gunn you genius.

Great movie! So many great characters, very funny, and a few appreciated emotional parts. I really like where DC is going right now with their movies.

GET THIS TO THE TOP 5. It's not only one of the best movies both this year and summer but it's also the best DC movie since the frickin Dark Knight trilogy. James Gunn did a spectacular job well done Gunn, well done.

5 The Mitchells vs. The Machines

I made such a deep connection with this movie, not only that I think the plot is bizarre but in a good way, it just has lots of humor and it never failed to make me laugh.
Also the protagonist is also LGBTQ+!

Great movie!
I finallly watched it on Netflix today and it lives up to the hype.
Also how is Cruella higher I thought it was extremely mediocre?

My favorite 2021 movie so far, and I think it will be hard to beat.

I saw this movies on Netflix and it was so funny!

6 Luca Luca Product Image

A great Pixar movie. The animation is stunning and the characters are sweet and likable. It wonderfully portrays the joys of being a kid. Sure, the movie did not have much of a compelling plot, but that did not make it any less fun to watch. It wasn't the best work Pixar has done, but Pixar definitely is not losing its touch. It's great. Go see it.

This should be much higher.

7 Nobody Nobody Product Image

Best theatrical film of the year, period.

Pretty good movie.

8 Raya and the Last Dragon Raya and the Last Dragon Product Image

The movie is fine at all, but the dragon looks like a ferret. I feel like it has a lot of potential if they made a sequel, IF RAYA AND BOON FALL IN LOVE, no. Just, no. But I love the animation and details. I think I would like it so much better if it ended when Raya and her friends turn to stone and they saw the Dragon jump flicker, and it ended there. I'm gonna vote this, because the rest of the movies I've like never seen, I've scrolled to 25… And I've seen two. So yeah I voting this.

This is just a really good kid friendly movie coming from a teen with a 2 year old brother and the only thing that Shuts him up is this movie and Go Go Cory Carson, Really a life saver for me! - Teen girl

Now that I finally saw this movie, I can officially say that it is okay. Like it's alright. Nothing impressive, but it's a good time.

My only takeaway was that Raya had nice hair.

9 A Quiet Place Part II A Quiet Place Part II Product Image
10 Cruella Cruella Product Image

An unsurprising mediocrity fest. Still better than the 101 Dalmatians 1996 remake and ESPECIALLY the sequel to said remake.

Just saw it in theatres and it was the best thing ever. I'm now going to be obsessed with it.

It was actually a lot better than I thought it'd be. I'd watch it again.

Amazing and fashionable.

11 Space Jam: A New Legacy Space Jam: A New Legacy Product Image

A messy plot that made no sense, it fails to be emotional, and it's pure advertisement. Other than that, I HAD A BLAST WATCHING THIS! The animation is stellar, all the WB stuff they add onto the movie is like a collection of fun easter eggs to search for, and it was just such a fun time watching. In terms of plot, it's a bad movie, but it's still very enjoyable to watch. You should definitely go see it.

I personally found this weird, but pretty decent. And LeBron James' son looks kind of like Double G from Game Shakers

Eh! Not very good. However, it is sometime so bad it's good, so I wouldn't say to not watch it.

12 Shang-Chi and the Legend of the Ten Rings

How is this not higher? Saw it in the theatres recently and thoroughly enjoyed it.

13 Jungle Cruise Jungle Cruise Product Image

I saw this in the theaters and the visuals are well done.

14 The Tomorrow War The Tomorrow War Product Image

It's actually pretty good. Nice and action packed, Chris Pratt and J.K. Simmons do wonderfully in their roles, the aliens are unsettling in a cool way, and a very interesting concept. Go watch it.

15 Free Guy Free Guy Product Image

This was a surprisingly good movie. I went to the theatres expecting something funny but not great, and I came out very impressed. Great acting from Ryan Reynolds, Jodie Comer, and Joe Keery.

16 F9 F9 Product Image

Well, it's been a very long time coming. Seriously, the psychic Jeane Dixon was wrong about the apocalypse happening in 2020. COVID-19 pandemic ruined 2020 which was supposed to be another year for Hollywood big budget blockbusters. Yes, movies were delayed due to the lockdown bullcrap which caused a massive shutdown. I finally waited. I'd rather not pay to watch a big budget film on streaming at all. I like cinema. Big screen is the way to go. Here is a review of Fast and Furious 9.

When I first saw the preview for F9, I thought it looked ridiculous. After watching it in a big screen cinema, I loved Fast and Furious 9. The fun part about the movie was the awesome CGI special effects, explosions, fast cars, spaceships, and the flipping truck. I mean Vin Diesel rocked. Chris Bridges and Tyrese Gibson were funny. John Cena from the WWE played a great portrayal of Don's brother. I'm not going put lots of spoilers at all, so guess what? Sung Kang's character Han Lue is back. That's ...more

17 The Loud House Movie
18 All Hands on Deck All Hands on Deck Product Image
19 Paw Patrol: The Movie Paw Patrol: The Movie Product Image

Litarally one of the best movies I've ever seen my favorite part was when Skye stop the cloud thingy she was a hero she save Adventure city. I loved the liberty puppy to. go Paw patrol movie! woot!

Why isn't this higher? Love it

20 Batman: The Long Halloween, Part One Batman: The Long Halloween, Part One Product Image
21 Days of the Bagnold Summer Days of the Bagnold Summer Product Image
22 The Boss Baby: Family Business The Boss Baby: Family Business Product Image

It was surprisingly good. The family connections felt more relatable and genuine in this one more than the first one. Is it a masterpiece? I wouldn't say so, but it is still great.

I don't understand how this managed to be WAY better than the first movie, this movie was actually surprisingly great!

It's a funny film.
