Top 10 Best Clint Eastwood Movies

The Top Ten
The Good, the Bad and the Ugly

I love Clint Eastwood. Definitely the greatest actor there ever was. I love all his films, but The Good, the Bad and the Ugly is just plain awesome. Why don't they make Westerns like the Dollars Trilogy anymore?

Within the top 3 films of all time. The other two are The Godfather and The Shawshank Redemption. This is a great film with consequences and a good ending.

My favorite film. This is a work of art, from the musical score to the direction to the acting. Greatest film of all time!

Unforgiven

This movie flows so easily, until that final climax!

Incredibly dark and twisted, and so good.

One of the greatest films of all time.

Gran Torino

Great movie. The way he bonded with his neighbors and outwitted the local hooligans was impressive. His own family was pathetic. They reminded me of how some families are today - always wanting something and giving nothing.

Should've been nominated for an Oscar for this movie. This is an inspirational story.

This movie really touched me. I don't know how a movie like this did, but it did.

Dirty Harry

It's hard to go against The Good, the Bad, and the Ugly. However, Dirty Harry opened the door for Clint to star in a different role at a time when his Westerns were starting to wind down. There are tons of great lines in this movie... A true classic in its own right, not just within the Eastwood film spectrum.

It has its flaws, but it rises above them, delivering memorable scenes, an edgy message (about who's actually worse, the vigilante or the murderer), and a great soundtrack by Lalo Schifrin.

I can't decide my favorite Clint Eastwood movie, but my favorite performance from him is Dirty Harry, without a doubt.

A Fistful of Dollars

Awesome film. It redefined everything that is a Western.

The Outlaw Josey Wales

My favorite movie of all time.

"Dying ain't much of a living."

For a Few Dollars More

Great soundtrack. Great villain.

Million Dollar Baby
High Plains Drifter
Escape from Alcatraz

The Newcomers

? Paint Your Wagon
? Letters from Iwo Jima
The Contenders
Pale Rider
Mystic River

Although Clint Eastwood didn't act in this movie, it was his best work as a director. The emotions of Sean Penn, the mental instability of Tim Robbins, and the glue that put it all together in Kevin Bacon were exceptional. The rest of the cast was excellent as well. Watching the movie felt like a real experience.

Amazing cast, amazing story! If you haven't watched it yet, it's about time!

Hang 'Em High
Tightrope
Play Misty for Me
Heartbreak Ridge
Magnum Force
The Eiger Sanction

A hidden gem of a movie.

Every Which Way but Loose
