Well, it was a good run. After a couple of years where video game adaptations came and showed how good they can be, a movie like Borderlands needs to return and make all of us remember the days of the 1993 Mario Bros. movie, or the Mortal Kombat and Street Fighter live actions, or the Doom live action. You know the drill.

Joker: Folie à Deux

Everybody is Arthur Fleck. The part when he said, "I don't want to sing anymore," to Lady Gaga (Harley) was bizarre.
The sequel should have left out the musical aspect. It was so atrocious that streaming became available in less than 3 weeks from its release. All thanks to the worst actress, Lady Gaga, for letting a $200 million film go to waste.

An insult to anyone and everyone who enjoyed the first film. Seriously, whoever decided to create this had the exclusive intention of isolating the audience to the worst possible degree.

And thus, that little fad of movies about brands has come to a sad end. Yes, I enjoyed Blackberry, Tetris, and Air, but between this and Flaming Hot... oof, man, thank God these are going to be over.

This movie was made for the Razzies, let me tell you. It's the vanity project to end all vanity projects and a truly self-indulgent, incoherent mess. This might land Jon Voight back-to-back Razzies, and the leading actor could end up getting Worst Actor as well.
I expect this to be the big winner of the 45th Razzies.

The previews for this movie were all laden with fake AI-generated positive reviews from nonexistent critics. That's all you need to know about the quality of this movie.

One of the most confusing films ever, and Jon Voight's boner line is terrible.

I just have no idea who in the world wanted to make a romantic/erotic drama involving Wednesday Addams and Bilbo Baggins.

When the first sneak peek of this film came out, everybody immediately knew the kind of project this remake would be. After its release... yeah, they were right. Maybe it's a little more tolerable than we all thought it was going to be, but make no mistake, it's still a very poorly made product. It had all the chances of succeeding, but it ruined them.

Megamind vs. the Doom Syndicate

I'm only putting this one here because it's easily the worst film of the year, despite the fact that Borderlands comes very close. So why is it at the bottom? Well, for starters, I picture the least nominations for this one. Also, it's a Peacock exclusive - not even a big streaming service - so if the Razzies barely touch streaming-exclusive films, they would barely even notice this one came out.
With that said, if there's one film that truly deserves it, it's this one.

Not Another Church Movie

Winnie-the-Pooh: Blood and Honey 2

Between the campy screenplay and the grisly violence, I'd say this is too scary to watch. Pure nightmare fuel for me.
But there's a catch. Besides the sequel's producer and star Scott Chambers, the film features more big British names than its 2023 predecessor. Simon Callow, Alec Newman, and Teresa Banham are co-starring in this sequel. The Rotten Tomatoes score is still "Rotten," but it has improved by 48%.
2024, so far, has been a weird year for Jagged Edge Productions.

Irredeemably bad. This would have won Worst Picture had it come out last year instead of the first one. Life-draining.

The Strangers: Chapter 1

Even though several great actors and actresses in Hollywood have historically been nominated for Worst Actor and Worst Actress before, it would still kind of break my heart to see Madelaine Petsch get nominated for Worst Actress because of this movie. But I'd totally understand it.

A truly incoherent screenplay, lousy pandering to audiences, and an annoying-as-sin supporting cast. That lady from the last Indiana Jones movie really should have won Worst Supporting Actress last year, but hey, she might get it this year for this Iffy film.

I think you can definitely see where a trend has started to become either a danger or relevant when mediocre blockbusters are being made about it. For example, this one is about NFTs.

Omg, I can't even start on this movie. It is beyond awful. We laughed all the way through.
