I don't think this has officially been announced yet but it's pretty much inevitable of eventually happening. Most likely in phase 5 or something. All 4 Avengers films have destroyed at the box office. Endgame and Infinity War both made two billion dollars. And age of ultron and the first avengers have both been in the top ten highest grossing films. There's no doubt that a 5th avengers would dominate the box office, especially since Endgame took the #1 spot by beating Avatar.
The first Avatar movie was the highest grossing film of all time for 10 years. There's no doubt that it's sequel will destroy at the box office as well. Since it's releasing in 2021 I think, the visuals would have probably even improved than the 2009 version. A sequel to the once biggest blockbuster ever will definitely attract a lot of people into the theater.

Godzilla and King Kong battling on the big screen with good visuals and today's quality of movies is something a lot of people have probably been anticipating for and it's releasing in 2020. Godzilla and King Kong are both highly iconic and pop culture embedded and are the defining "giant monster" type characters. With a film like this actually happening, there's no doubt it will make tons of money at the box office.
I kind of doubt this one will reach two billion dollars but it has one of the highest possibilities out of most movies. I mean, it is the ending of the main Skywalker saga which is arguably the greatest movie franchise of all time, besides the first two prequels. Introduced us to some of the most iconic and recognizable characters of today. The last film in that series is inevitable of making the top ten highest grossing films of all time and maybe reaching two billion dollars.
Spider-Man is back, or has been back in the MCU for like 2 weeks now, which is great since we can get a third Spider-Man movie now, possibly concluding the trilogy. With the release of Far From Home which is a great film and grossed a billion dollars, a third Spider-Man movie is in no doubt of doing the same, possibly even grossing two billion dollars which is why it's on this list.

Black Panther (2018) is heavily acclaimed by critics, was the first superhero movie to score an Oscar nomination for best picture and is arguably one of the most hyped Marvel movies and one of the biggest movies of 2018. The first film had great casting, great villain, and an interesting plot and blew up at the box office. The sequel to that will probably score more Oscar nominations, along with two billion dollars at the box office. Considering movie prices will keep increasing over the years.
No, I'm not kidding. Shrek is, or was a huge meme and this film has been anticipated and even announced in 2016. It had a release date in 2020 I'm pretty sure but they pushed it farther back to an unknown date but was never officially canceled. If this film actually releases, don't expect it to bomb at the box office since so many people have been wanting this movie to release. Maybe making two billion dollars is a bit of a stretch but there's no denying it would gross high. Especially if it's released in the mid or early 2020s when ticket prices will probably increase.
We haven't got a solo, live action Batman film in quite a while now and Batman is the most iconic superhero and watching him again on the big screen in a solo film would be pretty awesome. If movie ticket prices increase over the years, there is a slight chance this film will gross two billion dollars at the box office, or at the very least, around 1 billion.
The first two Guardians films were really funny and entertaining while still giving intense and emotional moments, making them some of the most memorable movies of the MCU. A third Guardians, maybe concluding the trilogy, is definitely something to hype a marvel fan up. And Marvel movies always make tons of money so there's no doubt that this one would do any different. Two billion is a stretch but it's possible since the hype of marvel movies has increased a lot more due to Endgame.
A lot of people consider Thor the most hyped Phase 4 project of the MCU, I wouldn't say I'm the most hyped about it but I'm still pretty excited to see a fourth Thor film, especially after seeing his character in his third movie and the previous two avengers films. Thor has become a lot bigger and more hyped in the MCU over time and his fourth movie making at least a billion dollars is inevitable at this point. Due to that, making two billion dollars is also a slight possibility considering all the hype around the character.
