Top Ten Best Peanuts Movies and Specials
This one is the funniest. The entire I got a rock bit made me laugh as a kid.
This movie started the two-movie-long trend of the "Charlie Brown goes on adventures without adults" format. Also, the first movie appearance of Peppermint Patty and the first speaking role of Franklin.
Very sad even by Peanuts standards, but it's very good. Also, the first animated appearance of Woodstock and Franklin (the second appearance of diversity in Peanuts after the spelling bee of the original movie which features kids that are not white).
Snoopy came back at the end. Peppermint Patty saw him post-credits.
The best Peanuts movie, hands down. It shows you a different side of Charlie Brown and Snoopy.
This one was the least watched of the four holiday specials due to being several months apart.
The OG Peanuts movie. Charlie Brown fails a spelling bee and gets made fun of to death.
This has to be in the top 10. It is the essence of Charlie Brown.
The one that filled the gap between It's the Great Pumpkin, Charlie Brown and A Charlie Brown Christmas. Quite notable for a minor controversy involving Franklin (of course, he's the only kid of color that has more than one appearance) being on the opposite side of the table from the rest of the gang. It was first brought up around the 90s during its VHS release (in private), but the first appearance that I can see being major is 2009 when a YouTube user uploaded the clip. It wasn't until 2018 when the media was enraged, and everybody counted it off as bullcrud and attention-seeking from dead people (in this case, Charles Schulz).
The final of the original quadrilogy, notable for an appearance of a non-trombone and face-shown adult. Features a lot of characters that never ever return.
The drunk scene was really awesome. My favorites are this, followed by Snoopy Come Home and Race for Your Life.
This special's main problem is playing it too safe.
Definitely worth it. The baseball scenes were hilarious.
The fifth of the movies. This will probably be the only one of this type due to Disney buying out FOX and Disney having a rocky relationship with WildBrain (formerly DHX) in recent times, who owns Peanuts.
Fifi is the best, clearly. She is so brave and oh so beautiful!
The Peanuts Movie is really appropriate to take to school and Step Forward.
The saddest (and darkest) of the Peanuts movies, literally dealing with cancer. It's so sad Linus even gave up his blanket habits for a more serious show. Only one segment, that being the Snoopy comic relief segment, has nothing to do with the main plot. But it's good either way.
This one is 100% serious because it deals with a girl diagnosed with cancer.
