Past members are Maarja Kivi and Triinu Kivilaan, both providing vocals and electric bass . In the mid-2000s, Vanilla Ninja had notable more.

In some European countries, Vanilla Ninja were huge in the mid-2000s. Their albums "Traces of Sadness", "Blue Tattoo" and "Love is War", and their singles, were hits. Their music was all over T.V. and got much airplay, and teenagers had their posters in their rooms. When they performed at concerts or music festivals, they crowd would go mad and sing along. In 2006, they went on hiatus that STILL goes on as of 2016 (they released a single in between though). After that, they were completely forgotten. None of their songs became classics, they have no more airplay, and hardly any fans left. Often, even when I say their name or play one of their songs, that doesn't ring a bell to most people that are old enough to know them.
And if I didn't happen to have known them since I was a young child, I propably would have never discovered them. - Martin_Canine

A classic case of one hit wonder. - Martin_Canine
