Best Bring Me the Horizon Albums
I love all of BMTH albums, had mixed feelings for "This Is What The Edge Of Your Seat Was Made For" but regardless- whether it's Oli's raspy voice be the loudest it can be or him singing in a melody- I love it. But Sempiternal took me by surprise in a wonderfully delightful way that it has to be their best album!
All their studio albums are brilliant, but Sempiternal definitely takes 1st place for me. This album has the most melody, is the most gripping overall, and is absolutely stunning and amazing. Ten out of ten.
Shadow Moses was the first song I knew by that. I complete fall in love with that album. In my opinion it's a perfect mix of Heavy riffs and Melodic electronic stuff.
Sempiternal was my favorite for a long time. But this one now takes the cake. This one includes a lot of music that gets you hyped up. Lots of loud fast metalcore, while also containing calm parts in the album, such as Blessed with a Curse.
Its also got pretty sad songs, like "don't Go" and "Home Sweet Hole"
A pretty solid album, in my opinion!
#5) Count Your Blessings (2006) - I like some songs, but I'm not a huge deathcore fan. - 6/10.
#4) That's The Spirit (2015) - This album is amazing. I hate to put it at 4, but Follow You and Oh No sound like generic pop songs. - 8/10.
#3) Suicide Season (2008) - Fantastic album. - 9/10.
#2) Sempiternal (2013) - Best album of 2013. - 10/10.
#1) There Is A Hell... (2010) - Do I have to explain? - 12/10.
Easily the album that shows the most emotion. Each song is amazing. I mean I love every album; but this one is special. It's their ultimate middle-ground between death-core and metal-core; their true peak!
I will admit, their two newer albums had a much higher level of musicianship; however, I think Suicide Season easily is their best. It 1) was the album that made them famous, 2) defines everything about BMTH, and 3) it has songs like "Diamonds Aren't Forever", "Chelsea Smile", and their shortest song with the longest title (laugh out loud). Oh, and Oli's screaming was PERFECT... seriously, PERFECT during the title track.
My List's Order:
1. Suicide Season
3. Count Your Blessings
Tied for #3. There Is a Hell, Believe Me I've Seen It. There Is a Heaven, Let's Keep It a Secret.
5. This Is What the Edge of Your Seat Was Made For
This is the album that made BMTH famous. This is the album that defines them. This is where Oli screamed the best. FOR CRYING OUT LOUD, THIS IS THE HEAVIEST THING THEY'VE EVER DONE! "Diamonds Aren't Forever" and "Chelsea Smile" are absolute masterpieces. Most importantly, this album was the bridge between Count Your Blessings and There Is a Hell. It was the album that combined their old deathcore style with their new melodic metalcore style. It created that perfect balance that BMTH needed.
My list's order:
1. Suicide Season
3. Tie between Count Your Blessings and There Is a Hell
4. This Is What Edge of Your Seat Was Made For
Who would imagine that they would do music like this? The album isn't bad, but it really misses those heavy parts from Sempiternal. Anyway for me their 3rd album is the best so it gets my vote.
Their most interesting sonic-ally complex album to date, BMTH takes on a alternative rock sounded loaded with atmospheric and electronic experimentation.
Melodic for a change.
For me, the best is Sempiternal, but I'm not gonna vote for the obvious winner... There is a hell,... is really really awesome, Suicide Season is cool but far not as good as all the others and That's The Spirit is fine, there are really awesome songs, but still... If I don't count Sempiternal, their first album is a straight-up choice... Braille, Black&Blue and Pray For Plagues are masterpieces
I think Sempiternal is clearly best, but their first album is surely better than Suicide Season...
2. There Is A Hell
3. Count Your Blessings
New BMTH is nowhere as good as this album. If they continued the style that they showed in this album, they would be more popular.
I don't know if this counts considering it's an EP. A really good EP, but still.
How is this at the bottom? Sure, it's new but it's one of their best EP's. Come on people!
