Last good Rancid album.
Nothing beats the raw nature of Rancid's first album. Matt Freeman doing some vocals and killer bass lines, Tim fresh out of rehab/recovery sounding grimy and pissed. With raw clinging distortion and thick technical bass mixing with perfect elements of Tim streetwise songwriting. This album wasn't aiming for radio play like other Rancid albums. Best tracks including Detroit, Hyena, Trenches, Outta My Mind & Rejected.
I have this on vinyl. Great record.
This album doesn't get nearly enough credit. I don't think it should be #1 but it definitely deserves higher than 8th
