Top 10 Best Songs of 2002
This list is all about celebrating the songs that made 2002 so special. Did a certain song get you through tough days? Maybe there's a tune that takes you back to summer road trips or late-night hangouts with friends. Or perhaps you're discovering these songs for the first time and falling in love with the sounds of a different era. No matter your reason, this is your chance to make your voice heard and help decide which tracks truly deserve to stand out.
Oh, hell yeah. Here are my top 3 favorite songs of the year:
3) Cry Me A River - Justin Timberlake
2) Complicated - Avril Lavigne
1) Lose Yourself - Eminem My rating is literally infinity/10.
Lose Yourself in the music. Eminem was already famous, but this made him legendary.
This song is amazingly fantastic! My rating for this song is way over 10/10.

Apparently, Eminem's fans are way more involved, because this is the song of 2002. It's number one everywhere else, and it should be here! Eminem is a great rapper, but that isn't even his best song.
My favorite song by Avril Lavigne. It was the first one that I listened to, and it holds a special place in my heart. This was the song of 2002 - her first single was the best.
I love you, Avril.
Avril broke the hold of the cutesy teen pop scene in 2002 with this song. It was the something different that pop had craved for so long.
Thanks, Avril.

One of the best songs ever. I miss music from the early 2000s.
One of the most famous songs by Coldplay.

It's THE song! Love the lyrics, love the video, love the music... and it was dedicated to Britney! It's one of the coolest songs of all time!
Tell me you love me, tell me you need me.

Why is this at 8? This song is way better than all of the songs above it.

Beautiful piano ballad about missing someone. I love the lyrics and fell in love with it the first time I heard the piano intro.
I also love t.A.T.u.'s "All the Things She Said," but I love Vanessa Carlton as well.
Excellent song and the best song of 2002.
Best song of 2002.

This song is filled with so much emotion, and it was an amazing way to top off not only an incredible career but an incredible life, too.

Anthem for lesbians! Haha! Or maybe that's just me. It hooks you and keeps you in a lovely, dreamy state through the entire song. It's a concept song, and I love it. It's so great!
All the Things She Said was their first, and Don't Regret was their last. The music these two special women made will endure.
It is not just a song. It is real, deep emotion and art at the same time.

The fact that he is just toying around, combined with the music video featuring Dr. Dre, has to put it in the running for about 10th.
The Newcomers

My favorite single from her debut album Let Go, "I'm with You" is a song about imagining being with the person you value the most.

This should be in the top 10, if anything!
Should be in the top 5 at least!

This should be in the top 5, best rap song of 2002. Period!
Cool song. Reminds me of my good days.

This should be 1st. Lose Yourself is a sampled song, and that's not cool.
Just one of many, but this was pretty good.

Jenny from the Block knows how to rock! Catchy beat, sexy vocals - J.Lo dominates every year she's been in music. This song is her signature track, and it should definitely be near No. 1, if not at the very top.
The music video and album are awesome. She is a diva, and it shows in this song. Love it!

Don't get me wrong, I love "Beautiful," but I have my one-song-per-artist rule, and of the two singles released by Xtina in 2002, this one will always win for me. It's catchy, it gets you dancing, and it makes you feel sexy.
If I get married, this will be playing at the reception.

This song was basically my introduction to EDM music! It was the first EDM song I ever heard as a kid.
