Top 10 Best Hit Songs of 2021
So I admit even if liked Billie, part of the overhype she got in 2019 was so big it made me get a rest from her, after the album and this song came out? She won me over, she never sounded so intimate yet confident as she does her, the first folk part despite it's slow music, let you understand what she is going for, works perfectly as a build up for the rock part which explodes into Billie explaining the emotions she is expressing through the song, as a song it's amazing, and in the context of the album it works perfectly for the climax of it, if this is the style Billie is going to follow in her upcoming years? I'm all down for it
It's funny that we got this song to blow up considering how overall 2021 was not a good year for mainstream country music.
Also I'm trying to decide what I think of 2021 music overall I think it was pretty good but I'm really not sure.
In my original best of 2020 I didn't even put this song on the actual top, after a while I switched it all the way to the top, this might be cheating? Yeah but not only I'm putting on the top because it ended on the year end list this year, but also to make the justice this one deserved originally, my reason why this song was so high last year stays the same, in a year as hard as 2020 and 2021 being slightly better but with some problems, songs like this is what made me keep going on, even if the meaning of the song isn't completely direct about it's intentions, the whole positivity and confidence about it is the exact same reason why I'd loved it so much, and I couldn't compliment this song more and more without making justice for how much it means to me
I'm really unsure if I would count this considering that it's a rerecording but if I did this would almost certainly be number one. I know it's cliché but this is my favorite Taylor Swift song and potentially among my favorite songs of all time.
This came out in the 90s though.
