Slater-Kinney shouldn't be on this list, they're from the olympia area. I mean, come on, their name is a street in Lacey. Technically Nirvana is from Gray County but they were in Seattle when releasing their first album, rising to fam, and seattle influenced their sound a lot. And Heart should be above Alice In Chains, Foo Fighters, and maybe Soundgarden. This list should be based off who captures the essence of Seattle, and foo fighters (although a great band) didn't do that.
2 Alice In Chains
Alice in Chains is an American grunge/alternative metal band formed in Seattle, Washington, in 1987 by guitarist and songwriter Jerry Cantrell and original lead vocalist Layne Staley.
By far the best band to ever come out of Seattle. Greatest two part harmony vocal parts since the Beatles and some of the best riffs of all time. They've never put out a bad song. Their entire catalog kicks serious ass. Pearl Jam hasn't put a solid album since Vitalogy. AIC will forever be the greatest Seattle band
Best rock band of 90's and early 2000's. Pure rock and roll! Not a grunge band. Layne Staley and Jerry Cantrell have one of the most unique vocal sounds ever. And Jerry is a badass guitar player. One of the best ever in my opinion

Just the vocal and lyrics by Eddie Vedder, you can't beat that sound!

Best vocals and most complex music from the 1980s Seattle scene. A cut above the rest. Soundgarden embodied Seattle at that time.
God father of grunge movement, best voice of bunch
5 Jimi Hendrix
