The Top Ten
  1. Croatia

  2. Canada

It's true! I live in Minnesota, and the only foreign country I've visited is Canada. The people there are so nice and courteous. There is a very familiar, comfortable feeling that I miss. Luckily, it's just a day's drive away!

The stereotypes are true - Canadians are some of the nicest people. I live in America, and every time I visit my grandparents in Canada, I always encounter the nicest people.

My experiences with Canadians have all been very good. They have all been friendly and polite, unlike a lot of Americans I have met.

  3. Australia

A waiter that was in my state was friendly. I assume he's from Australia.

Australians are among the nicest people in the world (I should know since I'm Australian).

Australia is beautiful! Seriously, visit it someday!

  4. Vatican City

  5. Norway

Norwegians are really nice. They help other people if they need assistance. Norwegians are also among the least racist in the world, which obviously makes them nice people.

Alexander Odden is from Norway, so of course I would vote for this one.

  6. Japan

I would think it is number 1 without question. I am surprised that it's not. If you hear all the comments from YouTube or friends who visited Japan, they have said only good things about Japan.

Did anyone notice how in Japan, it's as safe for a 12-year-old to walk in downtown Tokyo as it is for a toddler to walk down any regular city street? The people are so kind. Take note of what they did in the World Cup: after their heartbreaking loss, they still went and cleaned up after others because it was the right thing to do. This is beyond argument.

  7. New Zealand

  8. Indonesia

  9. Italy

I disagree with everyone saying Italians are rude and arrogant. They are actually very nice people!

I have been to every nation in the world, and Italy has the kindest people of all. They are so friendly.

  10. United Kingdom

Once people from other countries can break through our reserved ways, they'll find a nation of kind, friendly individuals with a great sense of humor.

    Turkey

  14. The Contenders
  15. Iran

I can only speak about Iranians who live in Canada because I've never been to Iran. Iranian immigrants in Canada are some of the nicest people ever. I've had Iranian classmates and neighbors, and they are kind, generous, and always willing to help.

Iranians are so nice and kind, and they value family very much. I'm proud to have Iranian blood in me.

My dad is from Iran. We just visited, and everyone was amazing.

  16. Jordan

  17. Nepal

  18. Rwanda

  19. Afghanistan

  20. South Africa

  21. Pakistan

Pakistan is a country with very kind and helpful people.

  22. India

India is a country with very kind and generous people. Many people say India is the opposite, but that is probably because they assume things without even visiting.

India is a country with the maximum number of religions and languages.

  23. Iceland

  24. Denmark

  25. Russia

Russia is a very misunderstood nation. People think Russians are much angrier than they really are. Fighting is part of the culture - not because everyone hates each other, but because it's just tradition.

Also, all the memes and jokes seem to give Russia a negative reputation. In reality, most Russians are very generous and welcoming.

  26. United States

The United States is often perceived as having "nice people" due to a cultural emphasis on friendliness, openness, and hospitality. This largely stems from its history of immigration, a focus on individual equality, and a societal value placed on making a good first impression, leading to behaviors like smiling and initiating conversations with strangers.

When people talk negatively about the US, it's usually only about certain areas. Most of the US is very nice, like the Midwest and New England. However, places down South and in California are more populated, so people often use them as examples. Half the time, people writing bad reviews about the US don't even live here.

  27. Ireland

  28. Netherlands

  29. South Korea

I went to South Korea and left my favorite pillow at the hotel. The staff said they would keep it until I come back in August.
