Top Ten Best Things About the United States

The Top Ten
1 Freedom

Freedom my *ss. Gays and lesbos can't even get married in some states and abortion clinics get blown up all the time. a lot of censorship (notice how I had to put a star in place of the a at the start of this comment), but to be fair, there's censorship everywhere in the world. the entire European union, Switzerland, Norway, New Zealand, Australia, Japan and Canada can all call themselves more free than the States. still a great country that has defended democracy in the 20th century though!

Freedom is the reason that the US is the best country in the world! That's the whole reason our founding fathers came over here, for Freedom! We have freedom of speech, religion, and a lot more!

2 Amazing Cities

The US of A has the most beautiful city ever. You know what it's called? No it's not Los Angeles or New York City. It's is Detroit that is the most beautiful!

Time Square is fabulous. Been there a millionth thousandth billionth hundredth TIME!

Los Angeles, San Francisco, Philadelphia, NYC, and Las Vegas are my favorites. I live in Philadelphia

3 Beautiful Weather

Well it depends. In Boston there could be three feet of snow while on the same day in Los. Angeles it's 70 degrees and sunny.
America is a big country which means the weather isn't going to be the same everywhere you go.

Like the weather in us excellent...

7 Television and Movies

I live in america and think that the television and movies now are one of the 'worst' things about america, if only because of the over-sexualizing of literally everything these days. Almost every movie or television show I've tried to watch lately, with very few exceptions, has ended up having some kind of nudity, partial nudity or overly smutty scenes in it. Which then I have to change the channel feeling like I just wasted my time am never going to get back.

The media has become so bad with this - I was recently married, every time I would try watching shows or movies with my husband trying to relax and have some laid back quality time together..another sex scene would turn up with close ups of half/fully-naked women. I believe in manogamy, I believe a husband or wife should not cheat on their partner, and I also believe that when someone looks at a woman 'lustfully' they are committing adultery 'in their heart'... and it hurts to feel like our relationship has been tainted by these constant assaults, every time he would defend watching shows or movies that portray women in that way simply because, and his exact words were: "Sex is Everywhere! You can't find anything nowadays without it being in your face."

Each time causing yet another crack in our relationship, it broke my trust in him (we are getting divorced because of him cheating on me and his porn habit which I know was in a big part because of today's over-sexualized media), it broke my trust in America.

I've been told all my life that I'm very beautiful by the average standards, and this sort of thing still made me feel jealous, inadequate, upset, let down by him, by the media, let down by america in general.

Being a religious person, with the television shows/episodes & movies flooding mainstream media, I really don't understand how 'anyone' with any real moral character and traditional values can even continue living in such an evil country as this - without facing daily... more

9 Republicans

All they do is hate on Obama all day. Go look at the statistics. Do some research. Apparently, more Louisiana Republicans blame Obama for Hurricane Katrina than they blame Bush! If you didn't know, Hurricane Katrina occurred when Bush was president, well before Obama. Crazy!

Just care about money. Oh, and hating on Obama, when they can't find anyone to replace him.

This shouldn't be so high up, it's embarrassing.

10 Military

Yeah...no. No offense to military people, but this isn't something to brag about. At least, not with the amount of wars the US gets involved in. The best fighters are those that know when to fight and when not to, and those who know HOW to fight -- wars aren't always won by fists (or guns). The best military isn't the one with the most wins, it's the one that consistently brings their people HOME. Although, I suppose that's more of a fault in our leadership.

The Contenders
11 Opinions Are Allowed

12 Christianity

United States has the largest Christian population in the world

13 Democrats

You do know the recent president tried to change how many terms he could get the minute he got into office? And he is a democrat. There shouldn't even be political parties, its useless, it just divides everyone.

I love Democrats... I have never voted for 1 republican... Ever! Never! Forever!

Bruh Fox News shows how all Democrats are way worse than Republicans. Watch the news people!

14 Great Food

You mean giant portions, horrible chocolate.

The only "great food" the US have is fast food turning Americans obesed.

This is why Americans eat to much food, I love tacos, it is Mexican, but American for hot wings

15 It's Beautiful

Donald trump made it ugly, so this list already is a filthy lie!

16 Multicultural
17 Wyoming Wyoming is a state in the mountain region of the Western United States. The state is the tenth largest by area, but the least populous and the second least densely populated of the 50 United States.
18 Friendly People

Not to say people from other countries are mean, but in Canada, I learned that no one really stops for you when you cross the road, and in Europe, I was almost mugged twice. Friendly people exist everywhere, but I've just had some unfortunate encounters

Why would you want people stopping you when you cross the road? That's dangerous!

The USA has plenty of friendly people... Or at least if you go to the right states

19 Offers Jobs
20 Donald Trump Donald John Trump (born June 14, 1946) is an American businessman, television personality, politician, and the 45th President of the United States. Uhhhhh. Random and weird that you added a single president as a reason why America is great, but ok.

Also, I have a bone to pick with the person below me. Threatening to HANG the person who created this. Unacceptable. I understand and respect your opinion, but when you go too far and say things like that, that is just mean and I don't tolerate things like that.

Whoever added this must be hanged...
