The pictures don't appear 'contrived' as in some works.
The man was a groundbreaker when it came to fashion photography, and his name is the most famous among all British photographers. Apart from all that, he must have something special about him to have attracted all those beautiful women!
I was fascinated with his pictures. His work shows a different type of variety, not just focusing on one idea. He has everything you are looking for!

Philippe Halsman (May 2, 1906 - June 25, 1979) was an American portrait photographer. He was born in Riga, which was part of the Russian Empire and later became Latvia. Halsman passed away in New York City. The first of his photography I saw was of Dali. After that, when I checked out the name of the photographer, it was Philippe Halsman.
After seeing all of his work, I have selected him as the best portrait photographer.
