Best Ground Pokemon

Garchomp
Garchomp, known in Japan as Gaburias, is a dual-type Dragon and Ground Pokémon introduced in Generation IV. It evolves from Gabite starting at level 48 and is the final evolution of Gible. Garchomp resembles a dragon-shark hybrid and is known for its speed and power in battle.
Garchomp is just a monster! Dragon Rush prevents the regretful Water-type moves! Mega Garchomp is just a monster that most Pokemon players have a hard time defeating!
Draco Meteor is very hard but fun to use!
Yeah! He is my juggernaut! I give him Rocky Helmet and the ability Rough Skin to make those who hit him suffer.
With good speed, HP, and attack stats, and his Mega Evolution's stats being very awesome, Garchomp is unstoppable!
Dragon is offensive to most types, and Ground is a pretty defensive type, so Dragon and Ground is pretty much an unbeatable combination.
Favorite Pokemon ever!
-
Swampert
Swampert, known in Japan as Laglarge, is a dual-type Water and Ground Pokémon. It evolves from Marshtomp and is the final form of Mudkip, first introduced in Generation III. Swampert is known for its strong physical stats and also has a Mega Evolution that boosts its power and speed.
Swampert is a tank and deals good damage to other Pokemon using his physical strength. His only problem is his weakness to Grass type. Otherwise, he is a well-rounded Pokemon.
It can just use Ice and Water moves, and the others are defeated!
Some people would say THIS is the best starter Pokémon!
-
Groudon
Groudon is a Legendary Pokémon species introduced in Generation III. It serves as the mascot for the game Pokémon Ruby. Groudon is known for its ability to expand continents and is part of the Weather Trio alongside Kyogre and Rayquaza.
He's one of the strongest Legendary Pokemon in existence, tied with Primal Kyogre and only beaten by Mega Rayquaza and the Mega Mewtwos.
Groudon's ability makes Water moves do nothing. Its Fire type protects Ground from Grass, and it has one weakness (Flying. Water does nothing).
It is powerful against a lot of types, such as Grass, Bug, Rock, and Electric.
He's a legendary! Besides that, he knows some of the best moves such as eruption and fissure. Should be #1
-
Flygon
Flygon, known in Japan as Flygon, is a Pokémon species in Nintendo and Game Freak's Pokémon franchise. It evolves from Vibrava starting at level 45 and is the final form of Trapinch. Flygon is a dual-type Ground and Dragon Pokémon introduced in Generation III, often referred to as the Desert Spirit.
This guy is underrated. At least put him in 3rd. Dragon Rush, Earthquake, Fire Blast, and Hyper Beam make Flygon a Garchomp killer.
He is a beast.
Flygon just seems to me to be the coolest, or at least one of them.
He looks awesome and is capable of learning several types of moves!
Flygon is an incredible Pokémon. Everyone loves Garchomp for its typing, and Flygon has the very same typing.
-
Rhyperior
Rhyperior, known in Japan as Dosidon, is a dual-type Ground and Rock Pokémon. It made its debut in Pokémon Diamond and Pearl, released in 2006 for the Nintendo DS. Rhyperior evolves from Rhydon when traded while holding a Protector.
It is pretty good, I guess. It has its ups and downs, but it is good.
It looked nothing like its pre-evolution, Rhydon, though. And it is good.
Got one in Pokémon X randomized, level 2, and I had it on my team until the end of the game. Honestly, it carried my team through the Elite Four and has amazing stats.
It should be number 1.
-
Krookodile
Krookodile is a Ground and Dark-type Pokémon introduced in Generation V. It evolves from Krokorok, which itself evolves from Sandile. Known as the "Bully of the Sands," Krookodile has strong Speed and HP stats, along with a high Attack stat.... read more
Very underrated Pokemon. Ground is a good defensive type, and combined with Intimidate, Krookodile can take a few hits due to its relatively good defenses.
If you don't like playing defensively, get Moxie as its ability. Moxie increases your attack every time it knocks out a Pokemon, which can be frequent since Krookodile already has a high attack stat and good speed.
To increase the chances of fainting a Pokemon, give Krookodile STAB Earthquake, which does a lot of damage with its attack stat, and STAB Crunch. It can also learn Iron Tail to deal with Fairy and Ice types, Thunder Fang to destroy Flying and Water types, Stone Edge if that wasn't enough, and a few Dragon and Fighting-type moves. Krookodile even thrashed Dragonite in the anime! Although not a pseudo-legendary or legendary, it's one of the best Pokemon in my opinion.
-
Gliscor
Gliscor, known in Japan as Glion, is a Ground and Flying-type Pokémon introduced in Generation IV. It evolves from Gligar when leveled up at night while holding a Razor Fang. Gliscor has a bat-like appearance and is known for its strong defenses and evasive combat style.
Highly underrated Pokemon. Amazing attack, amazing defense, and decent speed, he can tank or sweep depending on your requirement.
Slap on Acrobatics (STAB), Earthquake (STAB), Stone Edge (goes well), and Thunder Fang (covers all weaknesses), and you've got a beast of a Pokemon.
This Pokémon is my favorite Ground type and second favorite Flying type before Acrobatics.
Cool design, cool shiny, cool competitively. This Pokémon has cool written all over it.

Mamoswine
Just looks awesome, and Ice is a good type to counter those nasty Dragons.
Every time I use him, he just tanks everyone out.
-
Steelix
Steelix, known in Japan as Haganeil, is a dual-type Steel and Ground Pokémon. It evolves from Onix when traded while holding a Metal Coat. Steelix was introduced in the second generation of games and is notable for its enormous, metal-plated body and powerful physical defense.
Steelix should be in the top 5! No doubts! It has such great moves like Earthquake, Rock Slide, and Hyper Beam!
Wow, what a Pokémon because it is the evolution of the mighty Onix.
-
Torterra
Torterra, known in Japan as Dodaitose, is a dual-type Grass and Ground Pokémon introduced in Generation IV. It evolves from Grotle starting at level 32 and is the final form of Turtwig. Torterra is characterized by the tree and landscape-like structure growing from its shell.
Torterra is a continent. He can take a hit and dish it right back. Earthquake for the Fire types, Stone Edge for Ice, Flying, and Bug types, and Synthesis to heal.
You can't touch Torterra.
Torterra for the win!
Stone Edge kills your Charizard. Badass, super easy to get, Earthquake, Stone Edge, Synthesis, Wood Hammer.
My favorite Pokemon. A true beast with an Assault Vest or a Light Screen setup.
Also, the best-looking Grass starter and one of the best-looking starters period. Team Terra!

Ursaluna (Bloodmoon Form)

Nidoking
Nidoking, known in Japan by the same name, is a dual-type Poison and Ground Pokémon introduced in Generation I. It evolves from Nidorino when exposed to a Moon Stone. Nidoking is known for its powerful physical attacks and imposing horn, which it uses in battle to crush its opponents.
How is Nidoking so low? He's not the best competitively, but he's pretty good. He's so versatile. He pretty much has the monopoly on a Normal-type.
He can run Sludge Wave and Bolt Beam with a sheer power boost! On top of all that, he can evolve early, and he just looks so damn cool! Nidoking deserves to be top 5, at least top 10.
This is only #20? Nidoking is by far the best Gen 1 Ground type both power and design-wise! Even if that's his shiny form depicted in the picture.
Great stats and type combination. Also looks cool.

Hippowdon

Excadrill
This 'Mon is on another level. It's got great bulk and hits like a truck, not to mention its abilities Sand Rush and Sand Force that blow it out of the water with Sandstorm.
I used a Sand Rush Excadrill in PS with a Smooth Rock, and I Earthquaked everything I saw to death. I ran the numbers, and the doubled speed stat brought its base total up there with Garchomp.
Hone Claws x 6 + Horn Drill/Fissure: Still pitiful accuracy but a much better chance to hit the opponent.
Just use Sand Rush to outspeed, then Swords Dance, and then sweep.
-
Quagsire
Great typing, great styling, great movepool, lackluster stats. But so, so much fun.
He's dopey and cute but also quite good in battle!
-
Marowak
Woohoo! Go Marowak! So, I love Cubone. And if you guessed that I would also like Marowak, then you are correct.
I've been a fan of Marowak ever since I played a game on ROBLOX called Project: Pokemon. I traded a guy my Machoke for a level 100 Marowak with the attacks Focus Slam, Bonemerang, Bone Rush, and Rock Tomb. I thought, "He's just a Marowak. He can't be THAT good."
But I was dead wrong when I used him to defeat Blaine, and he killed every single one of his Pokemon. Based on this experience, I highly suggest that you add a Marowak to your team. He has a good design and is an all-around great Ground-type Pokemon.

Camerupt
Camerupt used Eruption.
The foe's Excadrill fainted.
The foe's Torterra fainted.
Laugh out loud, Camerupt wins.
Camerupt used Earthquake.
The foe's Steelix fainted.
The foe's Rhyperior fainted.
It's getting a Mega Evolution - can't wait!
Camerupt and Swampert are my favorite Ground Pokemon, but I like Camerupt's mega a bit more since Swampert's is overdesigned, putting Camerupt a little higher on the list for me.
-
Donphan
Donphan, known in Japan as Donfan, is a Ground-type Pokémon that evolves from Phanpy starting at level 25. It first appeared in Generation II. Donphan is known for its tough armor and powerful rolling attacks, which it uses both in battle and for transportation.
One rollout from Donphan has the power to knock down a house. You call this power.
Donphan's moveset, like Poison Jab and Thunder Fang, can make up for its weaknesses. This Pokemon is underestimated. Actually, this Pokemon just rocks. It's a damn strong Ground Pokemon and is kinda cute too.
It proves to be good at finding certain kinds of rare stones. It is just amazing!
Donphan is one of the Pokemon most deserving of a mega. Donphan is a great sweeper and has high offense and defense.
Also, is Phanpy not the cutest thing?!

Dugtrio
Insane speed, destroys with Earthquake, perfection.
-
Golem
-
Seismitoad
ZOMG I agree the best Pokemon is Seismitoad because of its moveset for fighting Ghetsis: Drain Punch, Earthquake, Surf, and Rock Slide.
Fight him at like level 50.
-
Landorus
Landorus, known in Japan as Landlos, is a Legendary Pokémon species introduced in Generation V. It is part of the Forces of Nature trio along with Tornadus and Thundurus. Landorus is a Ground/Flying-type Pokémon and has two different forms: Incarnate Forme and Therian Forme.
-
Zygarde
Zygarde, known in Japan by the same name, is a Legendary Pokémon species. Introduced in Generation VI, it is a Dragon/Ground-type Pokémon. Zygarde has multiple forms, including 10% Forme, 50% Forme, and Complete Forme, which it uses to monitor and maintain the balance of the ecosystem.
In complete form:
1. He looks so awesome, like a transformer.
2. He can surpass both Xerneas and Yveltal (both Pokemon have 600 stats).
3. His base stats must be so high due to surpassing Xerneas and Yveltal that his stats are undetermined. Could it be a higher total than Arceus' base stats?
4. He also has a signature move (Land's Wrath) with a cool name and 90 damage, but it's weaker than Earthquake and Precipice Blades.
5. The guardian of Kalos.
6. If the guardian of Alola destroys 75% of the Pokemon's remaining HP, I wonder what Zygarde can do.
Zygarde Complete Form is the best!
I was the one who said Zygarde was the Guardian of Kalos and that he was cool like a transformer. I meant to say that Xerneas and Yveltal have 680 stats, not 600.

Mudsdale

Sandslash
If you actually use this Pokemon properly, it can kill anything. Swords Dance, Sand Rush, Sandstorm, boom, faster than Arcanine and stronger than most Dragon Pokemon.
It's a pangolin. Pangolins are cool. Enough said.
