Best Brazilian Rock Bands of All Times
Renato Russo is the best brazilian singer ever. The band in the 80's was like a religion. Millions of people in the whole country just loved them. There is a song called Faroeste Caboclo which has more than 9 minutes of duration, with huge lyrics. Everyone knows how to sing it by heart. Legião Urbana has their first album recorded in 1985. Their carreer finished in 1996 when Renato Russo died. In just 11 years they became icons of rock in Brazil. They have at least 40 hits.It is amazing.
If you understand Portuguese, the lyrics are diamond beyond gold. Nor Bob Dylan's, neither John Lennon's lyrics show so poetic as Renato Russo's lyrics against corruption and oppression. He is a genius.
The songs by heart from my generation. Theirs music is the until nowadays because they took to Teenagers and seniors soul.
Musics with stunning melodies and very intelligent lyrics. They ROCK!
Deserves the number 1 spot for sure. Their the only Brazilian band that can rival bands from other countries, listen to arise, roots bloody roots and refuse resist and youll see what I mean

Charlie Brown Jr. Was created in 1992. It mixed several rhythms like rock, hardcore, reggae, rap and skate punk, creating a unique style. Its lyrics criticized Brazilian society from the youngers' universe perspective and songs' quality are great!
This band was awesome! Unhappily there isn't anymore! But Everybody in Brazil love Charlie Brown Jr even if you don't like Rock you will love this band!
Their music made a revolution in 80th year.
Technically the best band to ever come up in Brazil, been together for 35 years and counting

The best band of the Brazil!
Mixing rock with samba, awesome!
That's a nice name. NOT. Very offensive if you live here and know what it means. But God knows if they are a really good band. Well, good luck to them anyway.
They are really good, and it doesn't matter what's their name it's a good band and their song are the best ones after Legiao Urbana. So I would listen it if I was ya.
Easily one of the greatest latin rock bands ever! FYI their name refers to "skanking" like in reggae and not an a reference to an offensive term.
Interesting outfit, revolving around Humberto Gessinger, who sings, writes and plays the electric bass guitar. Songs loaded with whimsical tirades and political content (leaning to the left and nationalist side).
Progressive rock. It sounds like rush and pink floyd. It has deep lyrics based on niilism and Albert Camus.
The songs are amazing! Them touch the soul.
These guys are the best, along with Legião Urbana. Their songs have really good instrumental parts.
One of most famous bands in Brazil! As famous as Charlie Brown Jr, everybody know about them. Everybody loves at least on song!
My favorite band!
They are total crap. Watered down blue-eyed soul.
To me they are the best.
Seminal in the development of a particulary Brazilian rocking style in the sixties, when people often still considered electric guitars something offensive.
Best Brazilian band all tine... Sergio Dias is a brilliant guitar player... In the same level of Harrison, Page or Clapton...
One of the most influential Brazilian bands. Just ask Kevin Barnes to name one.
Os Mutantes are responsable to introduce Rock n' Roll in Brazil! The best!
I don't have words to their work, sounds like they're one of the most famous band in the world
The band which has musics for all the people, they're just great in what they do.
A girl-band gone serious. Managed to cross the barrier from silliness to meaningfulness in just a couple of years. Almost broke up after the divorce of singer Paula Toller and bassist/composer Leoni. She later learned how to compose and, with the help of the two remaining members (saxophonist Nilo Romero and guitarist George Israel) produced a series of nice and quite intelligent records. She sings well and is very pretty, even in her 50s.
