Top 10 Countries with the Most Sexist People

The Top Ten
Saudi Arabia Saudi Arabia, officially known as the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia, is an Arab state in Western Asia (Middle East) constituting the bulk of the Arabian Peninsula. The official Language is Arabic. The capital city is Riyadh.

I have a friend who came from Saudi Arabia and I asked her if the rumors were true about sexism in her country. She replied that it was ABSOLUTELY not true and she had never felt degradation because of the laws of her country.
You see, the thing is that everyone finds it difficult to see things from a different person's perspective. People think the that Saudi men make women cover themselves from head to toe, but it's not the men making them do that. In fact those large black gowns they wear and face covering isn't even an Islamic rule (Islam only told men and women to be modest), it's more of a cultural dress. Asking a Muslim girl to take of her scarf (head covering) is the same as asking a regular girl to remove her shirt. Modesty is ingrained in their brains at a much deeper level then other nations.
As for the no driving rule, I guess that is quite sexist but I don't think Arabian girls care that much.

You arnt really telling the truth I'm very hurt by everything every one is saying.. I'm a girl that's from KSA and I love it their the king is AMAZING and the goverment is trying to keep women safe because we ALL know that women arnt really strong and I can see that all of u are not as smart...

Women can't drive but in june 2018 they are making a new rule and it is that they can drive but with a MAN'S PERMISSION!

According to the American comedian Gabriel Iglesias, there's still gender segregation in Saudi Arabia.

Pakistan is not a sexist country
They let women drive, they're nice and friendly
Pakistan is a partial democracy, and they don't show nastiness and Pakistanis are friendly

Pakistan is not a sexist country

Pakistan as a country is amazing, beautiful and just great. None of it is sexist, only the taliban were. Malala loved her country, and didn't feel great about certain aspects, but the taliban while they were there were the only thing sexist about it. I'm not from pakistan but I still feel this

I am a sixteen year old girl from Pakistan and NEVER in my life have I EVER experienced any form of degradation, molestation or even cat calls from a male in my country. They usually keep their eyes averted from women. I receive quality education and have always been encouraged to do so.
No, it's not legal to beat your wife in Pakistan.
No, I'm not a terrorist.
Yes their are various areas of Pakistan that are deprived of education, food, water and are full of injustice and sexism. But we're working on stopping that, so please. These insults are the last thing we need.

I feel sad for their women. Hope it will get better

Ok yes, in the PAST, India was quite sexist.
But India is developing really fast. 90% of the sexist laws that existed are gone. All parts of the country has seen how important each gender is in terms of their country. More and more Indian people are getting educated and learning the importance of gender equality. In terms of the 21st Century, India shouldn't be 6th on this list. More lower down.

Islam isn't the most prominent religion there, Yet there's no boundary when it comes to sexism.
Dear citizens of other countries, don't waste even a single penny on this nation, ain't worth it.

The us is the least sexist country in the world. If anyone can use current events to prove me wrong I welcome it. Just provide evidence from after 1980. Whoever the 'tard is whom posted this needs to look at current economical and political stand points to see that many laws have been placed in favor of women. We started sexist and so.. however every country at one point was. We changed the most. We give women so many rights and minorities have higher employment rates because company want to seem very diverse in specific hiring minority women. Y'all need to look farther ahead than the past. It happened but move on and look at how our country has grown.

44 countries have a lower gender pay gap.
New Zealand allowed women to vote in 1893, 27 years before the US.
About 61+ countries have had a democratically elected female LEADER (president, prime minister, chancellor) before America. And they still don't have one.
I don't think the US is the most sexist country. But it is one of the most for the first world. I know you're Americans probably don't know anything about the rest of the world, especially the person who said they're "the least" sexist.
Better countries for gender equality than the US (just naming some): The UK, Ireland, France, Germany, Canada, Spain, Sweden, Denmark, Iceland, Norway, Finland, Brazil etc.
The US ranks behind. I'd say it's the most sexist FIRST world country. Obviously Saudi Arabia and other countries are much worse, much they're not first world.

I see people tell other people complaining about the sexism in this country things like: "At least you don't live out in the Middle East. In those countries around there, women are beaten and abused for minor reasons. Just be glad you don't live there." Like, what? A lot of said countries that these people may mention have at least HAD a female leader. Meanwhile, with over 40 presidential elections, the U.S. has yet to elect a woman to lead us.

This one loser is saying we need to educate ourselves. You need to educate yourself. Women could not vote until like 1920 and blacks could not vote until the 1960's. The U.S founding fathers were idiots. Everyone is equal? Yeah except Women Gays and Blacks. School shootings everywhere. No one even likes you guys.

Nigeria Nigeria, an African country on the Gulf of Guinea, has many natural landmarks and wildlife reserves. People who think America is the most sexist country in the world live in the comfortable Western bubble, really, try coming to third world countries.

Algeria Algeria, officially People's Democratic Republic of Algeria, is a sovereign state in North Africa on the Mediterranean coast.

I am an Algerian man and yes, I witness Sexism everyday, at all its forms:
1. Women are not allowed to go out past 7 o'clock while men can get out whenever they want (even at a young age).
2. Women get sexually harrassed on a dailey basis and there is no law to stop it and if a female asks a police officer for help she gets told off.
3. Women are constantly demeaned in the streets, buses, workplaces, homes (sometimes for no reason).
4. Women are controlled by their fathers, brothers and husbands (no independant will, while men are free to act independently at a young age).
5. Mothers must handle housework and children's upbringing alone, while the husbands rest.
6. Women don't have the right to travel alone (while men can go wherever, whenever).
7. Women must follow a strict dress code or else they would be called a "whore", get sexually harrassed in the streets and scolded by everyone (while men can dress however and never get judged for it).
8. A man has the ...more

I tend to agree with this ranking. As someone who grew up in Canada I can vouch that the environment was exceedingly sexist (and racist). It's not PC to be openly sexist but I wonder how much attitudes have really changed.

How is canada sexist its one of the least sexist countries out there

They had a female Prime Minister... all the way back in 1993. Their current PM, Trudea, is a feminist.
