Best College Lacrosse Teams

The Top Ten
1 Syracuse

By far, the best team in college lacrosse.

Always competitive. Orange kicks ass.

2 Maryland

Best team, most effort. Just bad luck that Virginia scored that one last-second goal this year.

I completely agree. They are wonderful. Can you tell that I am a huge fan?

Obviously, the best college in every sport, including lacrosse. Let's go, Maryland!

3 Johns Hopkins

What's with the defense this year? They should be holding teams under 10 goals.

The best team ever at lacrosse, period.

I have a friend who is going there and is a great lacrosse player.

4 Virginia
5 Cornell

Always a team... almost always in the top 10.

I agree. They may not have won the NCAA, but they are very good every year.

6 North Carolina

North Carolina is very good, should be ranked higher, and they have very good sportsmanship, so that is why I think they should be ranked higher.

The National Champion should be ranked higher!

Best team to ever live, hands down.

7 Denver

Down a bit this year, but legendary coaching and great atmosphere.

Duke is definitely better than Johns Hopkins. Looking at this list and seeing Duke at number... "Wait! Do my eyes deceive me? Six? This is outrageous!" Duke is one of the top 3 powerhouse college lacrosse teams.

They did well for the first 75% of this season. But as always, when they get to playing with the big boys like the Terps and Notre Dame, they get put back in their little place.

Duke is 1,000% better than North Carolina in lax. Duke should be way higher than number 8. They have one of the best coaches of all time. LET'S GO DUKE!

9 Notre Dame
10 Penn State

PSU has a great and talented lacrosse team. I think they will win the BIG 10 Conference this year and then go on to the NCAA finals. Great school. Produces the second-highest number of CEOs.

The Contenders
11 Loyola

If you're the team that produced all three Thompson brothers, you're classified as a legendary college lacrosse team.

12 Ohio State

They are not the best, but they are good.

13 Princeton
14 Yale

Go Yale! You are an awesome college.

15 Towson

Not a big school, relatively speaking, but possesses big school talent! Go Tigers!

Tiny school, huge team! Very impressive talent.

Most underrated team there is.

16 Utah
17 Albany

This team is just always incredibly amazing. Even when they lost in what some call the greatest game ever, they really came through!
