Top Ten Best Comic Strips

The Contenders: Page 2

21 Cyanide & Happiness

This is so evil lol

22 The Phantom

The ultimate comic strip. IF you're looking for adventure, combined with seriousness and a lot of witty humor, read the phantom! Most stories are a lot better than any action movie.

This is the best comic strip I have ever read. I Specially like the realistic nature of the comics. also the fantastic places that 21 generation of phantom and the adventure is simply fantastic

The best comic strip ever. Far more realistic than garfield and foxtrot and such. Always a good read. This should be at the top of the list.

23 Marmaduke

One of my favorite!

24 Sonic the Hedgehog Sonic the Hedgehog Sonic the Hedgehog, trademarked Sonic The Hedgehog, is the title character and protagonist of the Sonic the Hedgehog series released by Sega, as well as numerous spin-off comics, five animated shows, and an animated OVA.
25 The Boondocks

The Boondocks is definitely the funniest comic strip ever. Which other strp tales as many jibes at popular society than this?

26 Lio

I'm surprised and disappointed nobody has even mentioned this one. If we talk about newspaper comic strip, this is easily one of the best ones out there. Let's not ignore the genius of Calvin and Hobbes, or the huge influence of Peanuts, but Lio is truly a hidden gem. No dialogue at all. It is all explained through the action. And the dark humor is as great as it can be. From macabre to parody, this comic has it all. I'm serious. If you haven't read this story about the boy with the unusual pets and mischievous yet well intentioned heart, you're missing out.

27 Sonic & Mega Man: Worlds Collide
28 For Better or For Worse
29 Andy Capp

One of my all-time favorites. I am a longtime fan of it since childhood. One of the funniest that I have read. I enjoy the drawing style, too. The early years were the best, while the 1990's was its worst decade because a lot of things were toned down and contained more dialogue. It has been funnier again now, and more life put back into it, since after new authors took it over by 2001.

30 The Three Bare Bears

It's the original We Bare Bears

When was this a strip? - Goatworlds

31 Blondie

I'm 75 always have liked Blondie series but I think of it more as Dagwood series and not Blondie... Netflix has several films from the 40s statting Arthur Lake as Dagwood... Will make your day better...

32 Non Sequitur

My 2015 favorite comic strip. For the second year now I've bought a desk calendar with 365 daily Non Sequitur comics. It's the first thing I read each morning and it kick starts me on a lighter note.

The best comic strip I've ever had the pleasure to come across!

This comic copied Calvin and hobbes

33 Pogo

Walt Kelly's work laid the foundation for Calvin & Hobbes. An oldie but a goodie.

Best art of any comic strip ever. Way ahead of its time in content and intent. Behind Calvin and Hobbes, and Non Sequitur, it's my favorite.

34 Curtis
35 Sonic & Mega Man: Worlds Unite
36 Rip Kirby

My all time favorite comic strip, with its crisp visuals, classy protagonist and excellent stories.

Pisses on everything else on this list except for Calvin ^^ Hobbes and Peanuts

37 Fred Basset
38 Asterix

I like how it reflects on roman history in a funny sort of way

39 Hagar the Horrible

This is the only comic strip that never failed to make me laugh, and that's something.

40 Cul De Sac
