Worst Songs of the 60sTheMusicNerd 60s experts, legitimately post what you think are the worst songs of the 60s. Don't be nostalgic and say none, because I won't take that as an answer. The 60s certainly had some bad songs.
The Top Ten
This should be #1. The fact that "She Loves You" and "Love Me Do" are both in the top 5 and that this isn't even in the top 10 makes it impossible for me to take this list seriously.
This is "Baby" in the 60s. - 445956
I'm not even sure Jimmy Cross was thinking properly when he wrote this crap. He sounds annoying, too. - TheMusicNerd
Don't get me wrong, I like Paul Anka's music a lot, but this song is horrible. - TheMusicNerd
Not good at all, why did this get popular

Most of the song is the chorus, which is horrible. This doesn't sound like something a serious label would release. Like most love songs of the 60s, the lyrics are generic, but the constantly repeating chorus was the worst part of this song. - TheMusicNerd
This is good, why is it number 1? - 445956
How is this and love me do in the top three! - RalphBob
You know what? Now that I think about it, I Want My Baby Back should've been on the top three. I realized the flaw on my list... Oh. But still, She Loves You and Love Me Do were not pleasant to listen to. Maybe it's because they're so boring and annoying. - TheMusicNerd
While I do like The Beatles, this is easily their worst song. This song can only be described as annoying. The verses are terribly written, the lyrics are incredibly generic(this is a love song, after all), the chorus is one of the worst things I have ever heard. - TheMusicNerd
My man, EVERY Beatles song that they wrote themselves before like 1965 is a love song - Erucu
This one beatle song is better than all the rap songs ever recorded put together.
Bob Dylan's greatest lyrics ever- or not.
The spoof in the Simpsons was funny.
That was ummm...interesting?
I am a Beatles fan and I absolutely hate this song. I don't understand why people would call it "deep". It also fueled the "Paul is dead" conspiracy
Not the worst song The Beatles have made, but definitely their longest and least interesting one. - TheMusicNerd
Turn me on, dead man,
Turn me on, dead man.
Block that kick!
It's sad. There was so much great music coming out in 1969. The Beatles, The Stones, Led Zeppelin, and Creedence Clearwater Revival were putting out great albums, and groups like Black Sabbath and Deep Purple were on the horizon. So why would all those people listen to the Archies? Probably because it got shoved down their throats more than anything. - Gg2000
Unless someone has been a fan of The Archies since the 60s or just a fan of The Archies maybe they like it but I dunno.
I cannot believe that something this irritating was actually released by a label. - TheMusicNerd
You must be confusing this song with "Bird's The Word" by The Rivingtons, that was a very bad song, but "Surfin' Bird" by The Trashmen was excellent.
Now I am really confused, was that other song, "Papa Oom Mow Mow" by the Rivingtons or the Trashmen?
Simplistic Preschool Garbage; Surprised This Even Charted At All
An overplayed syrupy song from the schlock rock stuff of the early 60's.
No it is good! Breaking up is hard to do is bad. - 445956
If you look at the English lyrics, you will realize this is a very sad song. The singer died in a plane crash at only 43. How is this above "I Got You Babe? " - 445956
Keep in mind that this beat Eleanor Rigby and good vibrations
