Worst Things About Paramount Making a Live-Action Rugrats Movie

But seriously, while I do feel like the revival series may be good, a live action movie that has recently been announced proves Hollywood still won't learn.
The Top Ten
1 The show doesn't work for live-action

Ask a kid nowadays if they know what Rugrats is.
Human babies can't act so it would be CGI.
But I think this has a chance of being cancelled.
Look what happened to The Sims movie it was mentioned in May 25 2007 and cancelled on August 10th 2019

Just when Nickelodeon feels like they're getting good again, they pull a garbage move like this.

The idea of this makes me think of that terrible movie called Baby Geniuses.

Real babies can't behave like Rugrats, unless they are doing an All Grown Up.

2 They will use CGI babies

This reminds me of Twilight, where Edward and Bella's daughter was completely CGI. Not only was I NOT impressed, but it was the very first time I said a baby was ugly. Not the best moment for me...

Considering this is a live-action film based on Rugrats, this is not a direction which I am looking forward to. CGI babies? Hell no!

I honestly thought this era of live-action/CGI movie adaptations of classic cartoons was behind us. This is just going to be another Smurfs/Alvin and the Chipmunks/Marmaduke.

Just like how they used CGI Fairies for the live-action Fairly OddParents movies. And I think we all know how that turned out. Don't even get me started on CGI Scooby-Doo.

A gang of cgi babies.
I'd rather buy a second hand playstation and second hand search for reptar and play that again than watch a stupid cgi baby movie.

3 It proves that Hollywood still hasn't learned its lesson after all the terrible cartoon-to-film adaptations

If you can't make a reboot that improves on the original, don't bother making it. You're just wasting our time and money. Leave good enough alone.

Hollywood needs to learn.

4 It only exists for money

All Grown Up would've worked more than Rugrats.
Babies can't act. All Grown Up they are 10-13 aren't they?

They already did All Grown Up

5 It is completely not needed

Nobody asked for this. Its an attempt at a cash cow but my question is- is this generation even familiar with the rugrats. I mean honestly ask a 10 year old about the rugrats and they will have no clue what you're talking about

6 It will look horrifying

Maybe not as much as I'm Not Tommy, but still

7 They aren't attracting viewers

Who would watch it?

8 It has a high chance of being cancelled

It will be cancelled I have a feeling it will be.
The Where's Waldo movie was cancelled. Why? It would possibly confuse many kids or anyone who still likes to buy the books because he has like 100 different names and what would the plot be? Rugrats you cannot make a cgi movie about a gang of babies. It would look stupid.

I also do think that most old movies and T.V. shows should not be rebooted

This kind of movie always has the chance

9 It only exists for nostalgia purposes

There's no denying Nickelodeon is trying to cash in on 90's nostalgia in this late decade. While I appreciate all the reboots or revivals in the form of television movies based on shows like Hey Arnold!, Rocko's Modern Life, Invader Zim, and of course, Rugrats, the whole live-action Rugrats movie idea was completely unneeded. None of the other classic Nick properties they're reviving are getting live-action adaptations, so why Rugrats other than the fact that it's the only other Nicktoon that's the most popular aside from SpongeBob?

10 It probably won't use the same voice actors

They are getting old, and they will get less talented people to do it

The Contenders
11 Not many kids even know what Rugrats is

TwilightKitsune - What do you mean by saying "What? "
Do they show it nowadays. Nope.

12 It could end up like another Baby Geniuses
13 It might not do well in theaters
14 It might be a rehash if the first movie
15 They wouldn't have the rude jokes that went over our heads.

Stu middle finger.
