It doesn't count how many singles they have it counts on how many number 1's they have, if they only have a number 1 once they are a 1 hit wonder, till they have a second.
This dude had another hit which hit number 4 called Play that funky music
This guy does not belong on a list of one hit wonders because he had FIVE top-ten hits.
You got the cheesy part right, but he is far from a one-hit wonder, and had at least 7 other Top 10 hits, plus 2 number 1 albums and another 3 or 4 that hit the Top 20.
