-
I Will Always Love You - Whitney Houston
"I Will Always Love You" is a power ballad originally written and recorded by American country music artist Dolly Parton in 1973. However, it was Whitney Houston's version, recorded for the 1992 film "The Bodyguard," that became a global sensation and cemented the song's place in popular culture. Houston's rendition is notable for her powerful and emotive vocals, backed by a lush orchestration. The song spent 14 weeks at the top of the Billboard Hot 100 chart and won numerous awards, including Grammy Awards for Record of the Year and Best Female Pop Vocal Performance. It has since become one of the best-selling singles of all time and a defining moment in Houston's career.
This song and Celine Dion's song are the two best love songs, in my opinion. Here are the reasons why:
1. They were both featured in really amazing movies.
2. They both are about how, even though they are going their separate ways, they will love their partner forever.
3. The raw emotion in the songs.
4. How could I forget? The crazy vocals! Celine and Whitney are two of the best singers ever, and these songs are their most popular because of the amazing vocal ranges they have. They were so powerful, which made the songs even better to listen to.
I had heard so much about Whitney's legacy but never had the chance to hear her. Recently, when I heard this amazingly beautiful song, I couldn't listen to anything else. Whitney's voice is so soothing, and everything, including the rhythm, music, and lyrics, is just so strong and full of emotion.
It makes me cry every time I hear the part, "And I wish you joy and happiness, but above all this I wish you love." This is one of the greatest and best songs ever written and sung. We will always love you, Whitney.
-
My Heart Will Go On - Celine Dion
"My Heart Will Go On" is a song recorded by Canadian singer Celine Dion for the soundtrack to the 1997 blockbuster film "Titanic". Written by James Horner and Will Jennings, the song was a worldwide commercial success, topping charts across the globe and winning several awards, including the Academy Award for Best Original Song, the Golden Globe Award for Best Original Song, and the Grammy Award for Record of the Year. The song's lyrics speak of the enduring nature of love and feature Dion's powerful vocals backed by a lush orchestral arrangement. "My Heart Will Go On" remains one of the most recognizable and beloved movie themes of all time.
I love this song since I first heard it. It is one of my favorites. Titanic was an amazing movie, as well as this song. That's why it should be number one.
This song is amazing. I don't know why this song is at number 11. This song should be way up in the top 5, maybe even number one.
I LOVE this song! It just moves me whenever I listen to it.
Fantastic song that defines love in an awesome way! It should be listened to by everyone and make them feel the love. This song reminds me of some beautiful moments of my life!
-
God Only Knows - The Beach Boys
"God Only Knows" is a song by the American rock band The Beach Boys, released in 1966 as part of their seminal album "Pet Sounds". Written by Brian Wilson and Tony Asher, the song is widely regarded as one of the greatest pop songs ever recorded and a hallmark of Wilson's songwriting genius. With its complex harmonies, lush instrumentation, and introspective lyrics, "God Only Knows" broke new ground in popular music and has been covered and sampled by countless artists in the decades since its release. The song's enduring popularity has been attributed to its universal themes of love, loss, and the fleeting nature of life, as well as its timeless beauty and emotional resonance.
There's not enough I could say about this song. Brian Wilson is a genius. This song has changed my life.
I've never felt so attached to something. Hearing Carl's voice along with the brilliant score composed by Brian, from the beautiful French horn in the opening to the voices all on top of each other fading out, this has it all. Brian manages to make a song so amazing that you could listen to just Carl's voice and be touched, or even better, listen to just the instrumental track and feel amazing.
Very few songs can capture this genius, but Brian Wilson and the Beach Boys managed to. This song truly captures everything anyone could ever ask for about music and love. It has been with me in the best of times and the worst of times. I love it more than anything else in my life.
-
I Just Can't Stop Loving You - Michael Jackson
It's a song from heaven. You'll never hear a song like this again in your life. Michael Jackson is the King of Music. No one on Earth can make songs like he did. He is a true legend, the BEST forever. I love you MICHAEL, and so do millions and billions of people all around the world. We always pray that your soul rests in peace.
I love that song. I love Michael too! So I think it's the best love song ever. It's so romantic and gentle, and MJ sings it with a lot of emotion.
Well, this is the only song I've heard of on this list. It is also very romantic, I think. Almost every song that has the word love in it usually means it's romantic, right?
-
I Don't Want to Miss a Thing - Aerosmith
I have a hard time hearing this song whenever it plays on the radio. This was the song that always made me think of my girlfriend. She passed away, though, so now it's just hard when it comes on. However, it brings back good memories every time I hear it too.
This song is really and truthfully beautiful! Between the incredible, emotional vocals and amazing guitar playing, I don't know how else to describe this song other than amazing.
This song was our song. It's the sweetest song there is. I miss him so much.
It should at least be in the top 3! I'm surprised it's not higher. The lyrics are amazing! Plus, Steven Tyler!
-
Far Away - Nickelback
This is one of the only songs that describes the situation between my boyfriend and me. It's like no one wants us to be together, and I lost him once because of that.
From the very first day, he made me a better person just by loving me. I don't ever want to be without him again. I love this song. I almost cry every time I hear it.
I love this song. It made me smile when I heard it. I could listen to it a million times and not get tired of hearing it. It's a song that doesn't get tiring. It's something people could listen to for hours and think about their loved ones, wherever they may be. It's just completely amazing.
-
Carry My Love - Sarah Geronimo
Because it carries the whole feelings of love and joy, this song always reminds me of my childhood life. The song has a great quality that cannot be easily found.
I love the song so much! I feel like I'm in heaven full of people in love around me. Carry My Love by Sarah Geronimo gets a thumbs-up from me.
Please vote for it! It's worth listening to, I suggest.
It just carries me away from all the sorrows and ambiguities of this life. Sarah has sung it so beautifully that I just can't stop loving this song.
-
Something - The Beatles
Something is quite possibly the greatest love song ever written. It's one of those songs that becomes more compelling with every listen. Why is it so great, you may ask?
It's great because of its simplicity. It's not too specific, and it's an all-out declaration of love for all. Then it gets better, with George delivering what may just be the most meaningful and beautiful guitar solos ever. George's masterpiece, and why it isn't number one, is beyond me.
FINALLY! This is the first time I looked at this list and was amazed that this wasn't in the top ten. That it is at 63 is just not right. I will simply say that if this song isn't seriously moved up, your list will certainly not look like other lists and will be the worse for it.
-
My Immortal - Evanescence
It's so emotional and it makes me cry. I used to listen to that song when I lost someone special to me.
This song has touched my heart. After I listened to it, I just cried. Such a beautiful song.
I can't tell you how often I've cried in the shower to this song. It's so moving.
-
You're Still the One - Shania Twain
I'm sorry, but nothing beats this. This is by far the best love song ever written and sung. The music, the voice - everything. Shania is awesome, and she can sing this live EXACTLY the way it sounds in the video, so there's no voice editing.
Wonderful love song! It definitely should be in the Top 10. Shania's voice is so touching, emotional, and melodious. The video for this song was just fantastic! Really fabulous song.
You only know what passionate love is if you listen to these songs. This one has to be at number 1.
Love songs have never been made like this before, and none will be made like this in the distant future.

One of the best songs by Elvis Presley. Why did I have to submit it? It's a great song about devotion and love in general.
-
Heaven - Bryan Adams
No better song uses such simple words but says so much. Our love feels like heaven. It's the best song there was, the best song there is, and the best song there ever will be.
My favorite song should be much higher on the list. Please vote. This song will live for decades and centuries. It's the very best piece of art from Mr. Adams.
This must be in number one! There are lots of songs about sacrifice, but this song totally expresses that at its best. This MUST be number one, again and again!
-
Manhattan Skyline - A-Ha
I just started listening to A-ha, aside from Take on Me and Crying in the Rain, and hey, this song found its way to my heart. I'm totally falling for A-ha. How I wish I was born in the 1960s in Norway or the UK, so that I could have stood a chance of being married to Morten Harket, A-ha's lead singer. What a voice. A-ha makes me go, A-ha, I finally found you!
A-ha has the best songs ever! They are so awesome, especially because Morten Harket has the most amazing voice. He sounds like an angel. WOW is one of the many words I would use to describe this song.
-
Everything I Do (I Do It for You) - Bryan Adams
There's no love like your love,
And no other could give more love.
There's nowhere, unless you're there,
All the time, all the way!
Please vote for the song! It should be in the top ten. Trust me!
Hey, what has happened to everyone? This is the best love song ever! It shows the feeling that a guy does everything for the one he loves.
Please vote. It must be at least in the top ten.
This is a great song! Every time I listen to it, it makes me cry. I just feel lost in its wonderful lyrics. It will always be my number one.
-
Layla - Derek & the Dominos
In my opinion, this is the most heartfelt love song ever. Hell, it's the most heartfelt love album of all time!
My sixth most-played song on iTunes, and out of seven hundred songs, that isn't half bad. Awesome song with good guitar.
How in the actual hell is a Nickelback song above this masterpiece of emotion and talent?
-
A Thousand Years - Christina Perri
So beautiful, heartfelt, and simple, even if you don't like Twilight or haven't seen or read it. It took me some time to understand it, but now that I do, I love it. It's about someone who has loved someone else for a thousand years and has been waiting for them for all that time.
Even after all that long, hard waiting, they would still wait a thousand more years. I heard it a lot in summer 2018, and it always made me think of my crush. Even though this makes the song sadder, it makes me love it more because I can relate to it. A Thousand Years deserves so much better than 38th place!
Very touching song.
I have died every day
Waiting for you
Darlin', don't be afraid
I have loved you for a
Thousand years
I'll love you for a
Thousand more.
Great song ever. No question, no doubt.
-
Always - Bon Jovi
I love Bon Jovi. They're the best band ever. This song reminds me of my girlfriend, and when we were so in love with each other. We are planning to get married, and I will sing this song to her on our wedding day to express my never-ending love toward her.
Bon Jovi is awesome. This song is so heartfelt that you have to love it. I can't honestly see why it is at number 9.
"I know when I die, you'll be on my mind, and I'll love you, always."
It's such a beautiful song, first in my heart always. I love Bon Jovi.
"I'll be there till the stars don't shine
Till the heavens burst and the words don't rhyme
I know when I die you'll be on my mind
And I'll love you always..."
Such heartfelt lyrics...
-
Maybe I'm Amazed - Paul McCartney
Sir Paul delivered his best here! Love this song to no end.
One of McCartney's classic love songs.
-
Crazy for You - Madonna
Beautiful song. Classic. One of the Queen's best. International #1 hit. One of the best songs of the 1980s. I love this love song! Madonna has a talent for singing simple lyrics in a covetous manner. This song is one of her best ballads and definitely deserves the top position on this chart.
This is perfect for me to sing when I'm thinkin' 'bout my boyfriend!
It's exactly what I needed for when I'm so happy about him I feel like screaming. This helps get my feelings out, even if it's just for my bedroom walls to hear. It still helps!
-
Just the Way You Are - Bruno Mars
One of my favorites. It explains exactly how I feel about this woman. Listen to it!
This is the best love song of the 21st century! It captures exactly what one feels when in love.
-
Can't Help Falling in Love - Elvis Presley
Clearly, this list was voted on by people who haven't heard of Elvis. This song should be in the top 5, along with Nothing's Gonna Change My Love for You.
This song should be number one. It's so sweet and has so much meaning to it. If love were a sound, it would sound like this.
189? Ridiculous. This is the best. This generation needs to listen to some Elvis. I'm 18 and have taste, thank goodness.
-
November Rain - Guns N' Roses
Sure, Sweet Child O' Mine is better, but November Rain fits more as a love song. There's just something about it that's so beautiful.
Why isn't this song higher? This deserves to be in the top 3 because of its lyrics, which are very current, and its beautiful melody. Guns N' Roses show what they are good for with this song.
This sad, long love story at number 25? And why is James Blunt's horrific trainwreck higher than this?
-
Still Loving You - Scorpions
I am going to sing this song to my girlfriend, not because Scorpions is my favorite band, but because it's the perfect song for me. I'll perform it with my friend playing the guitar, and she's going to love both me and the song. If she does, I'll come back to this page and declare that this song is the best of the best.
Love you, Scorpions.
Great lyrics and great music. November Rain is one heck of a song too, as is Always. But this one has something in it that makes you listen to this song on and on.
This is the greatest love song ever! It must be at #1. This is the best love song.
-
Here, There and Everywhere - The Beatles

The song is just so amazing and deep. Her feelings are sad because she can't be with someone she loves.
-
Happy Together - The Turtles
"Me 'n you and you 'n me. No matter how they tossed the dice, it had to be. The only one for me is you and you for me, so happy together!"
I love how innocent and youthful "Happy Together" is compared to some of the other songs on the list. Love The Turtles.
