Top 10 Video Games, Movies and Shows That Are Greatly Overrated Due to Their Nostalgia Factors

The Top TenXW

1Pokémon Red

Very little replay value. Also, Charizard isn't that powerful. - TruthProphet

2Final Fantasy VIIV1 Comment
3Titanic (Film)

This film doesn't relate to the book that much

I don't care about "Jack" and "Rose", I don't care about their romance or romance in general, I don't care if a character dies, I don't care about its awards, I don't care about this movie at all.

The reason? It was just an insult to the real life tragedy.

4The Legend Of Zelda: Ocarina Of Time

Compared to Twilight Princess and Skyward Sword, as well as other fantasy games like Final Fantasy XII, The Elder Scrolls V: Skyrim and Xenoblade Chronicles, this game just doesn't hold up anymore.

Heck, in retrospect, I would say that Undertale actually kind of deserved to beat Ocarina Of Time in that stupid GameFaqs poll.

Or maybe that stupid poll shouldn't have even existed in the first place because there is really no such thing as THE best game ever, regardless of Undertale being a goddamned phenomenal and beautiful storytelling experience of a game.

I guess what I'm really trying to say here is that it really doesn't take much of a game to beat Ocarina Of Time by today's standards, you know? :/ - xandermartin98

5Super Smash Bros. Melee

No, it's overrated due to its extreme replayability, and the fact that people are still discovering new things about it. - WonkeyDude98

6Cave Story
7Dumb and Dumber
8Pokémon Gold/Silver
10Harry Potter

The first four books were excellent, don't get me wrong, but good luck finding anyone who will admit that the latter half of the series was even one iota less good.

Nope I read them for the first time this year at age 12 and finished at age 13 and still loved them

The Newcomers

?Pokémon Go
?Star Fox Assault

11Hey Arnold!Hey Arnold! is an American animated television series created by Craig Bartlett that aired on Nickelodeon from October 7, 1996 to June 8, 2004. The show centers on a fourth grader named Arnold, who lives with his grandparents in an inner-city boarding house.
12Dragon Ball Z

This is my favorite show and I've only really watched it for a year and a half. It's not nostalgia, it's just a flat out amazing show. - TheEvilNuggetCookie

The battles are too drawn out and the plot is contrived. On top of that, it seems like Akira Toriyama needs to give every character a power that will enable them to blow up the universe 50 times. - TruthProphet

13Lord Of The Rings

Boring, too long,i can"t tell the battle scenes in two towers and ROTK apart honestly feels like the same movie, it's a good trilogy but people really think it's the best franchise ever made even more than the iconic SW? What is wrong with you people?

It gave spotted hyenas a bad rap!

I watched it recently. It still holds up. - BeatlesFan1964

Better than The Black Cauldron. - TruthProphet

It is a terrible film and I would never accept that people like it.
