South Park
South Park is an American adult animated sitcom created by Trey Parker and Matt Stone for the Comedy Central television network. The show centers on four boys: Stan Marsh, Kyle Broflovski, Eric Cartman, and Kenny McCormick, and their adventures in the fictional town of South Park, Colorado. It's known... read more
This is such a no-brainer for the top spot. South Park is always laugh-out-loud funny.
Cartman, Kyle, Stan, Butters, Randy, Chef, Mr. Garrison, and Mr. Mackey are the best characters.
I give South Park the edge over Family Guy only because their constant social commentary spares no one, especially since they love to take on celebrities and religion with unabashed bravado. Although there was absolutely nothing subtle about the infamous Tom Cruise episode, if they really want to complete the social commentary, they need to focus on themselves in a hypercritical manner.
-
Family Guy
Family Guy is an American adult animated sitcom created by Seth MacFarlane for the Fox Broadcasting Company. I LOVE this show! They have some of the funniest jokes ever, well-made scenes, and the Easter eggs and references make me love it even more. South Park is great too, but I love Family Guy more.
I'd say if you're talking all-time funniest show, I'd give it to The Simpsons. Nothing beats those early seasons. But for the current funniest show, hands down, it's Family Guy. Just three words: "Outstanding Comedy Series."
The earlier seasons are the best and were really funny when the jokes landed.

The Simpsons
The Simpsons is an American animated sitcom created by Matt Groening. It originally aired as shorts on The Tracey Ullman Show starting April 19, 1987, and debuted as a standalone series on December 17, 1989.

Are you kidding? #4? This show is the most hilarious, innovative, satirical, and groundbreaking animated TV series of all time, and a cheap imitation (Family Guy) beats it? People just don't seem to get that before this, the only animation - bar a few shows such as Top Cat and Wait Till Your Father Gets Home - was aimed entirely at children. This show opened new levels that Family Guy will never reach.
What's Adventure Time? And where are Beavis and Butthead and King of the Hill? This list is inaccurate in terms of success.
Seth MacFarlane is good, but Matt Groening is great. I love Family Guy, but The Simpsons is legendary. It absolutely smashed The Flintstones' record for Longest Running Primetime Animated Series. It was only six years.
-
American Dad
American Dad! is an American adult animated sitcom created by Seth MacFarlane, Mike Barker, and Matt Weitzman for the Fox Broadcasting Company and currently airs on TBS. In my opinion, this is infinitely better than Family Guy. It's not a shameless Simpsons ripoff. It's actually funny, the characters have depth, and there are no obnoxious cutaway gags interrupting the episode every ten seconds. Family Guy started out okay, but it's very overrated.
Way better than Family Guy. Family Guy tries way too hard, while American Dad just stays funny. It doesn't try weakly but also doesn't try too hard. An episode of American Dad makes me laugh more times than a season of Family Guy.
This show doesn't need cutaways to be funny, and there is a lot less shock humor than Family Guy has. Good characters and good writing.
-
Archer
Archer is an American adult animated spy sitcom created by Adam Reed. The series premiered in 2009 on FX and later moved to FXX. It follows the misadventures of Sterling Archer and his dysfunctional coworkers at a fictional intelligence agency.
A generous and loving God gave us this masterpiece of satire. I don't just love it. I want to get it drunk and marry it.
How is this under The Cleveland Show? This show is one of the best things that ever happened to television.
-
Futurama
Futurama is an American animated science fiction sitcom created by Matt Groening for the Fox Broadcasting Company. The show follows Philip J. Fry, a pizza delivery boy who's cryogenically frozen and wakes up 1,000 years in the future. It blends satire, science fiction, and social commentary.
Come on, guys. Family Guy? Are you mad? Futurama beats any other show I've ever seen. The jokes are fast and furious. The plotlines are consistent and creative. The characters are very well done, the animation is great, and it's the most original thing on TV. Family Guy is crap! Everything takes place in a cutaway scene, and all the jokes are raunchy pop culture references! The humor is dumb, and the characters are a dime a dozen. Long live Futurama!
I know that at first people thought this was going to be like The Simpsons for one reason or another, but it's obviously completely different. The Simpsons was mostly humor, but Futurama is hilarious and other things.

Fantastic and hilariously creative show, even if it has declined in quality a bit in recent years.

This is just the best show ever. Even though it is almost the same thing as Family Guy, I think it has more humor involved. Also, The Cleveland Show is based on real situations.

This show is incredible! I think that it has the reputation of being a kids' show because it was on the Disney Channel, but it really is mature and well-written.

It's the greatest animated comedy of all time. It's funny, it's smart, it's dark, and you actually care about the characters. It's not just a dumb comedy. It's insanely well-written, and there's so much depth to the characters.
By far the funniest and most twisted cartoon out there. It's a must-watch!
