Top 10 Most Hilarious Animated TV Shows

The Top Ten
1 South Park South Park is an American adult animated sitcom created by Trey Parker and Matt Stone for the Comedy Central television network. The show is about four boys, who are Stan Marsh, Kyle Broflovski, Eric Cartman, and Kenny McCormick, and their adventures in South Park, Colorado.

I give South Park the edge over Family Guy only because their constant social commentary spares no one. Especially since they love to take on celebrity's and religion with unabashed bravado. Although there was absolutely nothing subtle about the infamous Tom Cruise episode. If they really want to complete the social commentary they need to focus on themselves in a hypercritical manner.

South Park is amazing. Eric cartman is the most evil character out there and he creates constant humor. It you to laugh out loud almost every episode, while people don't laugh at family guy at all. I mean the simpsons at number one I understand, but family guy. Really, come on people!

South Park should be number 1 of all time... If you don't have it as number 1 you don't get the politics and the celebrity spoofs it attacks... Just hilarious it goes farther and more in detail and farther in proving its point, by being direct and coherently rude to everything it believes

Best show ever! The creators talk about everything... They seem like the kind of guys who would talk about their dicks if they seemed out of shape or something...

2 Family Guy Family Guy is an American adult animated sitcom created by Seth MacFarlane for the Fox Broadcasting Company. The series centers on the Griffins, a family consisting of parents Peter (Fat, Idiotic Dad) and Lois (Nagging Bitchy Wife), their children Meg (Socially Awkward Daughter) Chris (Fat, Idiotic Son), and Stewie (Sociopathic and Genuine Infant); and lastly Brian (Anthromorphic Pet Dog). The show is set in the fictional city of Quahog, Rhode Island, and exhibits much of its humor in the form of cutaway gags that often American culture. ...read more.

I LOVE this show! They have some of the funniest jokes ever, well-made scenes and the easter eggs and references make me love it even more. South Park is great too but I love Family Guy more.

Id say is your talking all time funniest show id give it to the simpsons. Nothing beat those early seasons. But current funniest show hands down is family guy. Just 3 words "Outstanding Comedy Series"

Family Guy is the worst piece of crap ever! American Dad is better than this!

Every breath in that show is a joke. Sometimes I pause it because I need time to laugh

3 The Simpsons The Simpsons is an American animated sitcom created by Matt Groening that originally started on April 19, 1987 as shorts on The Tracey Ullman Show. It got its own series on December 17, 1989 and is still running as of 2023, making it the longest running animated sitcom. It is about a man named Homer Simpson and his family (wife Marge and children Bart, Lisa and Maggie and pets, Snowball II and Santa's Little Helper) going through a long series of misadventures.

are you kidding? #4? this show is the most hilarious, innovative, satirical and groundbreaking animated TV series of all time and a cheap imitation (family guy) beats it? people just don't seem to get that before this, the only animation bar a few shows such as top cat and wait till your father gets home were aimed entirely at children. this show opened new levels that family guy will never go to. whats adventure time? and where is beavis and butthead and king of the hill? this list is inaccurate in terms of success

Seth McFarlane is good... but Matt Groening is great. I love Family Guy, but The Simpsons is legendary. Absolutely smashed The Flintstones record for Longest Running Prime time Animated Series. Was only 6 years.

How is this #3? Should be higher.

Family Guy in a million years are not funnier than the Simpsons

4 Archer

A generous and loving God gave us this masterpiece of satire. I don't just love it, I want to get it drunk and marry it.

How is this under the Cleveland Show? This show is one of the best things that ever happened to television

5 Futurama Futurama is an American animated science fiction sitcom created by Matt Groening for the Fox Broadcasting Company.

Come on guys, family guy? Are you mad? Futurama beats any other show I've ever seen. The jokes are fast and furious. The plot lines are consistent and creative. The charge terms are very well done, the animation is great not to mention it's the most original thing on T.V.. Family guy is crap! Everything takes place in a cut scene and all the jokes are raunchy pop culture references! The humor is dumb and the charecters are a dime a dozen. Long live futurama!

I know that at first people thought this was going to be like The Simpsons for one reason or another, but it's obviously completely different. The Simpsons was mostly humor, but Futurama is hilarious and other things.

I like to hear it on my laptop at work. I do my business and sometime I let it play. When my bosses are coming I stop it.

This cartoon make my working days supportable.

Family guy is for people with low I.Q who laugh at anything, Futurama is real comedy gold.

6 The Amazing World of Gumball The Amazing World of Gumball is a British-Australian-German-American-Irish children's animated television series created by Ben Bocquelet for Cartoon Network.

I think I may like this show a teensy bit too much.

It was the most funniest show ever!

Throughout the show, they interact with the other main characters Princess Bubblegum (voiced by Hynden Walch), the Ice King (voiced by Tom Kenny), and Marceline the Vampire Queen (voiced by Olivia Olson). 10 American Dad American Dad! is an American adult animated sitcom created by Seth MacFarlane, Mike Barker, and Matt Weitzman for the Fox Broadcasting Company and currently on TBS. American Dad! is the first television series made to premiere on the network's Animation Domination block. The series premiered on February 6, 2005, following Super Bowl XXXIX, with the rest of the first season airing three months later beginning May 1, 2005. American Dad! is a joint production between Underdog Productions, Fuzzy Door Productions and 20th Television Animation and syndicated by 20th Television.

In my opinion this is infinitely better than Family Guy; it's not a ripoff of ANYTHING, it's hilarious, and there are no obnoxious cutaway gags interrupting the episode every ten seconds. Family Guy is okay, but very overrated.

Way better than Family Guy. Family Guy tries way to hard, American Dad just stays funny and tries not weakly but not to hard. An episode of American Dad makes me laugh more times than a season of Family Guy.

This show doesn't need cutaways to be funny, and there is a lot less shock humor than Family Guy has. Good characters and good writing.

This show is just weirdly, awkwardly funny...and doesn't seem to try so hard unlike the other shows

The Contenders
11 Gravity Falls Gravity Falls is an American animated television series produced by Disney Television Animation that first aired on Disney Channel, and then on Disney XD from June 15, 2012 to February 15, 2016. The series follows the adventures of Dipper Pines and his twin sister Mabel in the fictional town of Gravity Falls, Oregon, while on summer vacation.

This show is incredible! I think that it has the reputation of being a kids show because it was on the Disney Channel, but it really is mature and well written.

I love how it's both humorous/lighthearted and action packed. It's one of my favorites for a reason.

12 We Bare Bears An animated comedy show by Daniel Chong about three different species of bears - Grizzly, Panda and Ice bear (polar bear). Since they were little, they wanted to get adopted by owners separately. But then they missed each other too much, so they reunited again. Now as adults, they now live in a cave together in the forest, having heaps of great adventures.

I thought this was way funnier.

Why is this show in the top 10 list they are way funnier shows than this like Bobs burgers

13 The Cleveland Show The Cleveland Show is an American adult animated sitcom created by Seth MacFarlane, Richard Appel, and Mike Henry for the Fox Broadcasting Company as a spin-off of Family Guy.

This is just the best show ever. Even though it is almost the same thing as family guy, I think it has more humor involved. Also clevland show is based on real situations

Oh my god... What happened? This show for the first 10 years kicked butt, now it's a load of turds. WHAT HAPPENED? Dumb humor, stupid plots, flanderization, SpongeBob's voice is more annoying, and too much gross out humor... D:

Fantastic and hilariously creative show, even if it has declined in quality a bit in recent years.

I love you, SpongeBob SquarePants. I love this show ever since I was a baby. This should be in number 4

18 Duckman Duckman: Private Dick/Family Man is an American adult animated sitcom that aired on the USA Network from March 5, 1994 to September 6, 1997. It was created and developed by Everett Peck.
19 Rick and Morty Rick and Morty is an American adult animated science fiction sitcom created by Justin Roiland and Dan Harmon for Adult Swim.

It's the greatest animated comedy of all time. It's funny, it's smart, it's dark, and you actually care about the characters. It's not just a dumb comedy, it's insanely well written and there's so much depth to the characters.

By far the funniest and most twisted cartoons out there. Is a must watch!

Uncle Grandpa is higher than Rick and Morty... Why

20 The Boondocks The Boondocks is an American animated sitcom created by Aaron McGruder for Cartoon Network's late-night programming block, Adult Swim. It is based upon his comic strip of the same name. The series premiered on November 6, 2005.

Ed is on rage mode since he has a pebble in his shoe! I never laughed so hard!

Best cartoon show ever! Ed, Edd and Eddy ought to be at the top of this list!

Should be #1. Most underrated show ever
