Best Ranma 1/2 Characters

Ranma ½ is an anime about a teenage martial artist named Ranma Saotome. He is cursed to become a girl when splashed with cold water and changes back into a boy when splashed with hot water.

1. Shampoo

   

   Setting aside the crazy Ranma fan-girl thing, she is one of my favorite characters in the history of anime chicks! She ranks below female Ranma and just above Amu Hinamori. Love this chick!

2. Akane Tendo

   

   Akane Tendo is a strong, independent yet beautiful girl in Ranma 1/2. She may have displayed a series of strong outbursts, but deep down, she has a kind heart and will always fight for her loved ones and classmates.

   It's truly amazing how much martial arts she has learned all by herself, even though she has not received the proper training and guidance like the other characters have in Ranma 1/2.

   I strongly agree with one of the comments in the section that it's a shame Rumiko Takahashi wrote Akane like a damsel in distress to develop her and Ranma's relationship. With Akane's level of potential, we could've seen her become so much more.

3. Ryoga Hibiki

   

   Ryoga is, without question, the hottest anime boy I've ever seen! He tops Yuki and Kyo's looks combined - from Fruits Basket!

   The best character and the strongest of martial artists, and a lover of Ukyo Kuonji.

   I love the episode in Ranma 1/2 when Ryoga is with Akane. Love it!

4. Nabiki Tendo

   

   Though she's greedy and selfish, she still looks sexy in shorts.

5. Ranma Saotome

   

   Ranma Saotome is a fictional character and the protagonist of the manga and anime series Ranma ½, created by Rumiko Takahashi. He is a martial artist who transforms into a girl when splashed with cold water.

   I don't know why people think he is a jerk when he is friends with people who try to kill him. You'd need to be a saint to forgive the things Ryoga pulled.

   Plus, he's always saving Akane (and others) who treat him badly. As thanks, he often gets pummeled by the heroine. Only a really nice person would save someone who is going to hit you in return for saving their life.

   He's smart, nice, strong, and entertaining.

6. Ukyo Kuonji

   

   Poor Ukyo. She's the most sane character in the show, yet she's so underutilized. Plus, she's too cute for me to handle.

   The most beautiful anime girl I have ever seen.

   The only character I actually like.

    Where's the love for Kasumi? She's the only character holding this dysfunctional family together. No one helps her. She does this on her own and asks for nothing in return.

    She's sweet, kind, and doesn't need martial arts to be awesome.

    I love how she's so calm about the worst things...
