Meanest Cartoon Characters of All Time

The Top Ten
Eric Cartman - South Park Eric Theodore Cartman, often referred to just by his surname, is a main character, as well as a major antagonist and occasional antihero in the animated television series South Park, created by Matt Stone and Trey Parker, and voiced by Parker. He is one of four central characters in South Park, along... read more

How is he not in the top 3? At least characters like Squidward (SpongeBob SquarePants), Benson (Regular Show), and Tom (Tom and Jerry) have the excuse of living awful lives or being annoyed on purpose. Plus, they can occasionally be nice. When has Cartman ever been nice unless it benefits him? And don't even get me started on the horrendous things he's done.

He's pretty much the cartoon version of Joffrey Baratheon from Game of Thrones: bratty, sadistic, and pure evil. The only other character I could see at number 1 is Ren from Ren and Stimpy Adult Party Cartoon. Speaking of which, why isn't Ren (specifically the Adult Party version) on this list? And why isn't he number 1?

Mr. Krabs - SpongeBob SquarePants Eugene H. Krabs, or simply Mr. Krabs, is a fictional character in the American animated television series SpongeBob SquarePants.

If you watched One Coarse Meal, my opinion of him went from good to BAD! He needs and deserves to be ranked number 1. He cares too much about money. Everyone does though, right? "Married to Money" is a REAL episode of SpongeBob SquarePants.

Plankton is my favorite character, so knowing how mean Krabs is to Plankton is just... wrong. Krabs is horrible and needs to go to school. Mr. Krabs, you need to cry a river, build a bridge, and get OVER IT! They should make a "Mr. Krabs version of One Coarse Meal." Then I'd have a favorite episode. Krabs is my least favorite character, and note that no villains, killers, or other evil fish from Bikini Bottom are even on my list of least favorite characters.

So, I might need to stop taking up space. Adios.

Caillou - Caillou Caillou, which means "pebble" or "stone" in French, is the self-proclaimed "Prince of Imagination." He is a four-year-old boy who serves as the titular main protagonist of the TV series and books of the same name... read more

Accuracy, it never misses.

Why did I say that? Because Caillou is about as close as you can get to an accurate representation of four-year-olds everywhere: whiny, snobby, selfish, and downright bossy. I have a nephew who's the same way, and I can tell you, he's like a light-skinned version of Caillou! I used to love this show as a kid, but looking back, it had to have been the worst one.

He's so mean. He pinched a newborn! His parents are so dumb. They didn't punish him.

If I were his father, I would've shipped him off to boot camp long ago.

Eustace Bagge - Courage the Cowardly Dog Eustace Bagge is a fictional character from the Cartoon Network animated series, Courage the Cowardly Dog.

This guy has always been grumpy and mad ever since he made his first appearance. He's a farmer who often scares and torments an innocent, cowardly pink dog and neglects his own wife, preferring to watch TV and read newspapers without a care in the world.

He also cares about being rich, as shown by him hoarding weird artifacts (such as King Ramses' slab or a giant atomic carrot). He often messes up during or at the end of the episode, deserving his horrifying fate - though he doesn't seem to remember the incidents afterward.

But by the way, Eustace Bagge was a legend.

Peter Griffin - Family Guy Peter Griffin is the main protagonist and titular character of the American animated sitcom Family Guy.

He gave Stewie drugs, farted in Meg's face, tried to marry his son Chris to get money, attempted to bond with Stewie by abusing and attempting to kill Lois, destroyed Brian's teeth, shot his own friend in the arm for no reason, shows no remorse for killing people or animals, and destroys other people's property without feeling guilt.

I think he should be ranked higher than Benson and Squidward. Neither of them are that bad. They're just mean because they're stuck in bad jobs with idiot co-workers or employees, and they still have a good side to their personalities. Peter has no reason to treat everyone as mean as he does. I know Family Guy has a lot of mean characters, but what have Cleveland, Joe, or Mort Goldman done to deserve the way they're treated by Peter?

Squidward - Spongebob Squarepants Squidward Tentacles is a fictional character voiced by actor Rodger Bumpass in the American animated television series SpongeBob SquarePants.

The torture scenes are NOT funny.

Squidward may not be the most likable character or a particular favorite (I can't speak for everyone), but nowadays, I find myself rooting for him more and more instead of, you know, SpongeBob - the main character.

Everyone treats him like crap, so no wonder his outlook on life is bitter and jaded. In the end, I don't blame Squidward. I don't always agree with how he treats others, and he can still be as arrogant and dickish as the rest of the cast at times, but he ALWAYS seems to get the worst end of it all.

Throw him a bone, eh, writers?

Vicky - The Fairly OddParents

How is she not higher?! She literally tries to kill Timmy every time she babysits him. She is the cartoon version of Misty from Pokémon! Why? Because they are both really annoying gingers!

Vicky is an abusive "babysitter" who only acts nice around Timmy's parents so she can be allowed to torture Timmy.

Chris McLean - Total Drama Chris McLean is a fictional character from the Total Drama Island series as the official host who makes the campers perform a series of challenges for immunity ranging from often humiliating to dangerous.

Chris McLean is the equivalent of an emperor who makes people suffer for entertainment. To explain, here is a list of some of Chris' sins: He dumped large amounts of chemical waste, he fed expired food to his contestants, and to top it off, he enjoys his contestants' torment.

Three-quarters of the challenges he makes the contestants do aren't even legal.

Watch Season 4 and try not to rage. I should know. I failed.

Benson - Regular Show Benson Dunwoody is a main character on Cartoon Network's Regular Show. He is a gumball machine, also known as The Park's manager. As the manager, he is the boss of every park worker (with the possible exception of Pops). He has a short temper and has a tendency of yelling at Mordecai and Rigby every... read more

I've always hated him. He threatens to fire Mordecai and Rigby for unforgivable offenses like singing or wanting to bail out of judging pies.

And he has no real excuse either. There are even episodes where he takes sadistic glee in tormenting them (*cough*Best Burger in the World*cough*).

Actually, in a few episodes, he was likable. This is My Jam, and The Regular Show finale two-parter. On a scale of 1 to 10 in terms of being irritating, I would say 4.

I wouldn't say he's mean. He's more aggressive and irritable.

Brian Griffin - Family Guy Brian H. Griffin, popularly known without his middle initial as Brian Griffin, is a fictional character from the animated television series Family Guy.

The Newcomers

? Sue - The Loud House

A heartless woman who really shouldn't be in the care of the elderly.

? Cotton Hill - King of the Hill

Another King of the Hill person that deserves to be on this list is Bill. Because Bill is so deranged and an overall horrible person to be around

In his first episode alone, he tried to transform Bobby into a misogynist.

Add Bill Dauterive on this list. Because Bill is a terrible excuse for a friend because he treats Hank, Dale and Boomhauer like trash

The Contenders
Flippy - Happy Tree Friends Flippy is one of the main characters of the American adult animated web series, Happy Tree Friends, its spin-off series, Ka-Pow!, and a playable character in the False Alarm video game. He is also the final boss of the mobile game, Deadeye Derby... read more

Flippy is perfectly normal, but when his PTSD as a war veteran kicks in, he violently kills everyone he sees.

Are you kidding? His career cost lots of lives, and he even kills people.

Swiper - Dora the Explorer Swiper is the main antagonist in Dora the Explorer, appearing in nearly every single episode. He is a sneaky orange fox. As his name implies, Swiper steals or attempts to steal key items that help Dora on her adventures. Clever as he is, Swiper never manages to take Dora completely by surprise; an ominous... read more

Since it's a preschool show, he always loses or throws items in an easy-to-reach vicinity, but his plans are definitely mean.

For trying to steal Dora's stuff, even though everyone wants Dora to die.

Swiper is number one on this list. He is super mean.

Bianca DuPree - Beverly Hills Teens
Nelson Muntz - The Simpsons Nelson Mandela Muntz is a fictional character and the lead school bully from the animated TV series The Simpsons.

He is a school bully, but in some episodes, he is sort of friendly with others for some reason. He went with Bart on a road trip once.

Heather - Total Drama Heather was a camper and the main antagonist of Total Drama Island as a member of the Screaming Gophers. She later returned as a cast member in Total Drama Action on the Screaming Gaffers, and was one of the finalists in Total Drama World Tour representing Team Amazon.

Everybody hates Heather because she's mean to Gwen and nasty towards Leshawna. She's the meanest, nastiest of them all.

Heather is mean, but she truly makes the show.

Angelica Pickles - Rugrats Angelica Pickles is a cartoon character who appears in the Nickelodeon shows Rugrats, All Grown Up!, and Rugrats Pre-School Daze, and is among one of the series' original characters.
Lori Loud - The Loud House Lori Loud is a fictional character from The Loud House and the oldest child of the Loud Family as such she's bossy, hot tempered, and very strict she constantly enforces the fact to the others that she's the oldest, despite her bossy nature deep down she truly cares for her younger siblings even when... read more
Nikki Wong - 6teen
Belson - Clarence
Princess Morbucks - The Powerpuff Girls

She is mean to Blossom, Bubbles, and Buttercup and is very spoiled.

Chef Hatchet - Total Drama Island
Rick Sanchez - Rick and Morty Rick Sanchez is a fictional character from the American animated television series Rick and Morty, aired on Adult Swim.

The mean, evil professor deserves to get beaten up by Morty.

Rick may be a genius, but he's a very grouchy scientist.

Mr. Mean - Mr Men
Mr. Cat - Kaeloo

While his meanness is quite amusing, it is pretty harsh in hindsight. Kaeloo tries to be nice to him, but he is extremely rude to her. Stumpy idolizes him, and he just makes fun of him. Quack Quack does nothing bad to him, yet he violently hurts him.

There was one episode where Mr. Cat tricked everyone into thinking they owed him money and then threatened to murder them (quite literally, with a gun) if they didn't pay him within 24 days.

In the episode "Let's Play Gangster Poker," Mr. Cat tricked Kaeloo and Quack Quack into thinking they owed him money and then threatened to shoot them both since they couldn't pay him. Enough said.

Lola Loud - The Loud House Lola Loud is a fictional character from The Loud House and the third youngest child of the Loud Family and Lana's younger twin sister, Lola is arrogant, smart mouthed, spoiled, and is a tattle-tale, like Lori despite her selfish behavior deep down she's compassionate, she shares a room with her twin... read more
