Top 10 Reasons Why the Powerpuff Girls Reboot is Bad
Cartoon Network has made another terrible remake of a classic, iconic, and good show. Watch the original, not this trash.
Cartoon Network: Little girls twerking is good, but HEAVEN FORBID a woman with breasts to be on this show!
They also did this with Miss Keane too. In the original she had tiny breasts, but now she has like no breasts at all! Can't they just deal with the fact that some women have breasts and that some have flat ones? Ugh!
Well there goes humor right there I agree it's messed up but I'm sure you laughed at it with your kids if any of you have any. But the reboot is a coming of age series. Just be glad that none of them are pregnant or getting those high D's.
Because that's what the original show was missing! Who needs charm, good cartoons, when you can have bottom homour. Which is not overused, or anything at all obviously! Ah yes, I give this show a rating worst than Teen. Titans. Go.
Pedophiles wrote this show confirmed. This and the fact that one of the people who worked on the reboot shipped themselves with Blossom is enough proof.

She was meant to be a female character that was to be represented by her intelligence, not her body. Her name, Sara Bellum, is literally a pun based off of a part of the brain. The show just seemingly removed her out of fear that some parent would, at first glance, say that she looked too 'revealing' or that she was just a female stereotype/the show was being sexist. Ms. Bellum, though having her figure, was meant to be seen as smart at well, but for some, they can only see her body...
Well, EXCUUUSE us women for having breasts and hips that stick out! Ms. Bellum was not just a body, she was a role-model. She was intelligent, independent, and the girl's female role-model. Seriously, she's more fit to be mayor than the Mayor. Miss Sara Bellum for president!
But they allow little 5-year-old girls to twerk? Who the hell is writing this show!?
How the heck is she 'inappropriate'? She looks like what a NORMAL woman looks like! Excuse us for having breasts and hips that stick out!
So according to CN, woman can't have big breasts, and if young girls have them naturally that means they should be ashamed of themselves. What a great moral for a cartoon whose target audience is mostly girls
Exactly, explains the new generation. In the past, children used to go outside, play sports, and they were actually mature. They would also go on T.V. and watch the ORIGINAL PPG and other 90's shows, which actually taught something and had a good sense of humor, everyone would enjoy them, from kids to seniors. Now it's just 3rd grader boys who think cursing, "roasting" people (roasting is kind of funny, but I mean when they take it from the internet and make the witnesses think it's originally from them) and liking Jake/Logan Paul makes them "cool". 10-12 year old girls who can't keep their eyes out of their phone because of the damn annoying dog filter and musical.ly, and they think if their phone's battery is dead is worse than being buried alive.
Just because there isn't a lot blood-oldie- doesn't mean they're weak bubbles is naive and won't really pay attention much so maybe that's why she got stuck in a trap anyway. The are mostly trying to focus on they're "normal" life as all kids do and are trying to balance that with their epic abilities
Cartoon Network basically stripped them of them fighting crime and instead made them enjoy school, when we all know kids hate school.
The girls were not that good to begin with for me, they were kind of dull.
At least the PPG reboot actually fights crime and learn great lessons.
Strong Female Characters are ended up being reboot.
Imagine Teen Titans Go! is a serious show. It feels like a clone of the Classic Powerpuff Girls
PPG 2016 is more like a sidekick to TTG. PPG is like Anakin Skywalker just joined the Dark Side (TTG). And that Hitler (TTG) always lose CN's reputation for that Reboot (which is more like a Supreme Leader of Animation Altrocity).

You know why the President ignored him?
Well mates, all she is interested in is money and ruining our childhoods. When Craig left the original for Fosters, Ppg started to suck, so according to my conspiracy theory she thought "OK guys the reboot will suck without him anyway. So let's just make it as bad as possible". Ignorant git.
I'm so glad Nickelodeon sought out Craig Bartlett for their bringing back Hey Arnold. They are doing right by that show, making sure it's very close to the original with only a few (mostly aesthetic) tweaks. Not like CN with this show.
Craig McCracken could've stopped them had there not been a contract between him and Disney.
*puts on shocked face* Okay that just makes me upset. Even if your reboot will end up being terrible at least ask the creator of the original show if they want a reboot.
Look, I personally don't have a problem with the art style. It doesn't butcher the predecessor like Teen Titans Go did. BUT the animation errors...when I first watched this show I didn't notice them but now that I want to be an animator when I grow up, I look at cartoons critically now. And looking at this reboot... UGH!
Not all animation is bad it just trying to look modern I don't mind the thin lines because they are the only cartoon to never have any until now and the original had to much a saturated vintage color. And for every comment I left for ppg reboots please stop complaining before there is World War 3 over cartoons
You would expect since it's newer it would have better animation. WRONG! Same thing happened with Teen Titans Go!
It looks like it was drawn by a 5 year old. The paintings of the old series was way better.
Who is the visitor that keeps claiming that The Powerpuff Girls are in love with each other? There is no evidence or proof this is real.
This is not true at all. Don't post things that aren't true.
New episode coming in August! See it on the 18th!
They're sisters though. How does that work
I watched the crossover of the 2016 Powerpuff Girls and Teen Titans Go. I was rather disappointed and thought it was the stupidest crossover episode I've ever seen. Calling the girls "babies" was rude. Are Robin, Starfire, and Raven blind to the fact that they are in elementary school and know how to deal with crimes and so on? I bet they are, because they think they're "babies". Beast Boy and Cyborg were even worse. They work for Mojo Jojo, then he betrays them and traps them in a cage (Ha-Ha-Ha! )
Teen titans go 'cough toddler titans no cough' and this horrible reboot combined! It must be worse than the problem solverz! If the problem solverz crossed over with this,it will destroy CN. Teen titans go 1 +teen titans go 2,powerpuff girls = 100%destruction!
I don't think the crossover was actually bad...
This was just a mess!
They are both good, but the reboot no. What this is missing the spirit that it once had, and the epic battles, references used to make it look cooler, but now it's just kid restricted, which is stupid
This show is basically just full of laziness and stupid outdated memes. The original had none of that!
Outdated memes check
Just looking at this gave me stage five brain cancer and now I'm slowly and painfully mentally vegetating in front of my computer as I write this comment. This man needs to be kicked from the writing team.
This is a fact by the way. This just shows how messed up the people making this show are. Congratulations Jared, you can now date your 5 year old waifs blossom. That's pedophilia, that's weebish, and that's messed up on so many levels.
Even if this wasn't the intent, they really should have thought this through better. Because it's creepy
To whoever made an oc to date Blossom, think twice!
Hardly any nostalgia
Ugh! What is up with people saying that the reboot is worse than seasons 5 and 6 of the original?! Here's the real fact: THAT'S NOT SAYING MUCH! You people don't get it, do you? You would rather watch Pee Pee G's, Sun Scream, City of Frownsville, Sweet and Sour, and Girls Gone Mild over ANY episode of the reboot?! That makes no sense! The reboot is just AS bad as seasons 5 and 6 of the original! Saying that the reboot is worse isn't going to help. I know for a fact that seasons 5 and 6 are just as bad as the reboot.
Yes it does! At least some effort was put in season 5 and 6. The reboot, the writers are deliberately ruining the old show like ttg
Woah, woah, woah, that is saying a lot.
Amanda Leighton, Natalie Palamides & Kristen Li are actually pretty nice people, replacing Cathy, EG Daily & Tara Strong isn't a very valid reason to hate those girls! It was Nick Jennings who gave those jobs to Kristen, Amanda & Natalie! So stop going so harsh on those 3 new voice actresses just because they took the place of your childhood adults! -_-
Besides, Tara Strong wasn't Bubble's first voice actor, Kath Soucie was! But do PPG fans lack respect for Tara becoming voice of Bubbles from the core-series? Yas, I mean, NO!
When I saw the trailer, Buttercup sounded just like Blossom! I'm a huge fan of the original series. But, judging by the outrage of the people who saw the reboot, I'm glad I've never seen it
Of course, these new actors don't deserve hate for this, because it wasn't their fault, but cartoon characters are their voices.
Bubbles is by far the worst. I miss her cute little squeaky voice, her new voice sounds like a teenager falling asleep
I saw a trailer about how they're gonna add a "Fourth" Powerpuff Girl. In the trailer, other CN characters were getting super excited over this "wonder".
I saw who she was and noticed something weird about her... Her legs were long. Her hair was long and electric-blue. And also... Her name is Bliss. Her skin-color was darker than Blossom's, Bubbles's, and Buttercup's. I guess this is probably, because they have opposite DNA from how she was created and how Blossom, Bubbles, and Buttercup were also created. But, still-- I think it's better with only having 3 girls instead of 4, 5, 6, and so on
Three Powerpuff girls was perfect! Why four? I don't see the point in a fourth one. Also, she has one of the worst character designs I've ever seen. Seriously, she looks like someone's Mary Sue OC! Her color palette is visually unpleasant and her hair color is so saturated and hurts my eyes. It's as if they hired a 13-year-old girl from Deviantart to be in charge of her character design.
Bliss whatever her name is, she looks like a devianart Mary Sue! I don't care about her skin color, but her hair color doesn't make any sense and her legs are weird. The original already had a fourth ppg, Bonnie, she wasn't pretty but she was one of the beatbox characters of the show, even though she only lasted for one episode, they could have brought her back. I'm surprised that bliss doesn't have cat ears or color changing eyes
There is no point to the character. If they told us in the first series that they had a sister that was 8 years older than her, then it would be fine.
That is a bad example to kids. They removed Miss Bellum and claim she is "innapropriate" when she was more than just a pretty face, but a good adviser and assistant. Yet they do not think it is innapropriate for a five year old to dress innapropriately and smoke? That is going to teach young innocent kids to smoke and wear clothing that is not for their age.
I think she's gay and in a relationship with Blossom. Just saying...
Well, this looks kind of interesting...what episode is that?
That's not the Bubbles I know.
If their target audience are kids who are too young to know the original, then they also won't know those old ass memes from 2005!
I love memes. Good memes. But gosh, couldn't they have used classic and new (but good) ones occasionally?
Who's even going to laugh at 5-10 year old memes?!?!
The writers of this show think we are going to laugh at their unfunny and uncool stuff. Not. I did not laugh at one single thing about this show. No one thinks this show is funny- AnimeDrawer85
The original theme song was boring no lyrics or anything and I like the new theme song it had lyrics and a story to it making it look more appealing to us younger viewers. The old one was borrowed from other superhero themes too like from the 50's. Go rant about Bugs Bunny or something you newbie haters
I cannot believe the Powerpuff Girls just rapped a rap song that sounds like a rip off Missy Elliot's "Work It". The new theme song sounds boring and dull.
The theme song is very boring. The ending song sounds childish, it sounds like an ending for a nick jr show. The girls actually rapped a terrible song in this show, so bad it will make your ears hurt. The original had better music, the theme song sounded more heroic, the ending was awesome, the song Love Makes The World Go Round is cute.- AnimeDrawer85
The music for the original was great and fit the show perfectly, but the reboot? Nope.
Girls, what happened to you?!? You were strong, cute and powerful in the original! Now, you three are completely out of your character!
-Blossom, you were a smart leader but now, you are really bossy in the reboot one!
-Bubbles, you are being cute and cheery in the original one but now, you were a spoiled brat!
-And Buttercup, you were hilarious in the original but now you were too weird.
I love you three girls in the original but I hate you in the reboot.
Blossom is too neat, Bubbles is so bratty, spoiled, and annoying, and Buttercup is too weird. Bubbles is my least favorite in the reboot.
Bubbles - an overexagerrating brat who thinks she's 'cute' and 'trendy'.
Mm.. Yeah! What an inspiring character!
Blossom - the bossy and erratic leader who is.. Somewhat 'intelligent'. Totally a good thing for children to pick up on!
Buttercup - the edgy and 'badass' idiot of the trio.. Wow! So relatable!
If I were to made PPG Reboot, I would at least try to put effort in it.
The new art style is just like the old one, but with new details and thinner lines and more bland colors. Can't they add more thickness to the lines and more color? Also, why did they add Buttercup a cowlick and Bubbles a hair tie?
I liked the art style of the original, but the new one looks so strange. It's as if they were trying to make it look detailed and modern, but instead, it turned out quite bland and as if it was missing something. And what's with the thin lineart?
UGH! the art style is SO ugly like honestly. what is up with buttercup's cowlick? it's unnecessary and hideous. and even smaller things bug me, like how bubbles' pigtail's are too high up on her head. words cannot describe how much I hate the reboot.
Because Flash Animation is much better than animation like Adventure Time's!
I have no clue what this "meme" is, but why did they have to bring back the PowerPuff Girls?! I partied 'till dawn and hauled ass to Lalapalooza when it ended! Kill the PowerPuff Girls!
P.S., I can't believe they blocked me from messing up the PowerPuff Girls wikipedia entries!
Not us young ones
They ruined my favorite cartoon character. Why did they do this to Buttercup? She called her own sister ugly in a picture and threatened a kid to vote for blossom or she will beat him up.
Actually, its contrare. Buttercup acted like an ironic and unsupposed bully in the original show, but now, in the reboot, I see Buttercup more kind and friendly. If you disagree, don't reply. We all have our own view :/
They gave Buttercup the Patrick Star treatment. you know how Patrick was fine in the first few seasons but then became a jackass and remained one since season 6 or something. y
Butter cup is total crap in the update. who asked to turn her into a bastard?
This show barely shows any of the characters. And whenever Mojo Jojo came, it was just an insult to me.
Dummies it's a kids show and CN are trying to focus on the girls growing up as preteens or whatever and going to school not kicking butt all the time which is what buttercup wants anyway so... This section is totally her
And I read somewhere that the main villain is named 'Manboy'? What kind of message is that going to send? That men are evil? what?
The new villains are completely lame and boring!
Manboy: A short "man" who grows hair
Pack Rat: A rat-like villain who has weak ideas
Bianca & Her Hairy Gorilla Friend: Lane fashion villains
When Mojo Jojo came in, he turned out to be the exact opposite than the original
