Everyone knows by now the extent Krabs will go to in order to make money, even if it means throwing anyone under the bus to do so. Just to name a few examples, he horribly mistreats his employees SpongeBob and Squidward, making them work countless hours, most of the time not even paying them. At one point he even traded SpongeBob to the Flying Dutchman for a few measly cents, and he ruined Pearl's birthday parties by being super cheap.
He's a horrible, selfish character. He only cares about money, nothing else.
