Top 10 Worst Things About the Winx Club
From what I've seen, it feels like she does make a lot about herself or makes herself the hero, even in situations where it's inappropriate. Like defeating Tritannus, even though he was Aisha's cousin - so why didn't Aisha get that? And being the lead singer of the band despite Musa being the fairy of music? Also, having an entire transformation named after her? Seriously?
Overpowered, never makes mistakes - even when Tecna, the fairy of logic, messes up every once in a while. She's self-absorbed, thinks everything is about her, and somehow mysteriously gains new abilities to easily solve every problem they face. She takes credit for everything the Winx do together. The list goes on.
Let's look at how Stella's character progressed, shall we?
Seasons 1: Stella was older than the rest of the girls and, although bratty, she was powerful and knew when to be a leader or second-in-command. She could be childish and a bit of a clown, but she always had Bloom's or any of her friends' backs and was serious when she needed to be. She complained about little things but faced big challenges head-on, serving as the guiding light for the Winx early on.
Stella could be annoying and even downright mean sometimes, but we knew her heart was in the right place. It was a comfort to see her by Bloom's side during Bloom's hardest moments, and she was a true friend. She personified the term "best friend," making us question why we tolerated her worst moments but also remember why we loved her during her best. She was my favorite fairy because of this.
Season 6: Stella is now a huge brat, way over-the-top obsessed with dresses. Almost every episode, she forces the other girls to change clothes and delivers a stream of failed humor that makes her nothing less than an annoying womanchild. She constantly bickers with Aisha (whose character was also once great but went downhill), and she storms off in childish fits when her often ridiculous designs fail to impress people.
She now uses Brandon as a sounding board for all her frustrations, treating him more like a venting outlet than a partner. Her childish behavior has become so extreme that it raises questions about her mental stability. With Aisha having taken over as the second most important Winx member, I honestly don't understand why Stella is still here. Like Musa and Tecna, she's been sidelined and now feels like she's just there for the sake of being there. It's very tragic.
It constantly changes. Enchantrix was supposed to be the final transformation, yet they kept adding more stupid and unnecessary transformations just for the heck of it. It's just for the money at this point.
I know millions of people love her, but I'm not really one of them. She's a bit overdramatic, like, girl, you don't have to keep calling Helia's name. And yes, she's the second or third strongest, and she is! But she doesn't use that potential and is just the sweet, soft one. Like when villains come, Flora goes, "No! Don't hurt them!" You've got to be kidding me. So, no, I'm not a fan of Flora, but I wouldn't call her Ms. Snooty Pants. She's more of... I don't know, the "made-to-be-loved" character.
I HATE FLORA. She is Mrs. Snooty Pants because she cares way too much. I like Musa more than her. This is not a joke. Flora is really rude!
They wear bras and super short skirts and shorts all the time.
Who wears a bra and almost underwear to school?
But Musa and Tecna are all right. It's Stella who wears inappropriate clothes.
Bloom is a terrible singer, unlike Musa. Musa's voice is the voice of a goddess.
Well, I can name many more shows with better animation. The characters don't seem to talk properly, and the body proportions are weird - they're all too skinny. The faces aren't that attractive either. In World of Winx, they look even weirder, like Barbie dolls with too much makeup. But they still look okay.
The first few seasons are hand-drawn.

You know, every show used to have real body types like muscular women and fat gals. Winx Club has body types that are just not real.
Yep, they go from normal to insanely skinny, then they go back to normal if you know what I mean.
Do either of these two even still have a personality?
The Newcomers
Nabu was literally my favorite male character in Winx. He was Aisha's boyfriend (and Aisha was my favorite character overall). So the fact that the show's creators had the audacity to kill off Nabu is just wrong!
They should have killed off another specialist! If they were trying to get more views, they could have killed off Sky - literally everyone was asking for that! When they killed Nabu, they left Aisha heartbroken until she found Nex (who doesn't even compare to Nabu). This was the worst choice the creators could have made.
Yes, we get it, songwriters. They're the Winx. We don't need to be told for the 3,848,219,394,849th time this episode.
Yeah, the fact that they made it mandatory for all the characters to have someone is a bit weird. The worst part is that most of the relationships started at the exact same time and just stayed together without much drama.
Why does this show have to be romance-based? And who the heck would have a misogynist person like Riven as a boyfriend?
Enchantrix was supposed to be the final form. Most kids (including myself) were so excited to see it. And now there's a transformation called "Halloweenix"? What the hell? The transformations should be special, not a money-making scheme to profit off young, impressionable children.
First, we were told "Believix is SUPER POWERFUL!"
Then we got Lovix and Sophix. Then Harmonix and Sirenix. Those were okay.
But after Sirenix, the transformations got kind of boring. It felt like the whole reason for them was just to make dolls and money.
What's worse, honestly, is that Diaspro is treated as a villain, and Bloom hates her. It's Sky's fault for leading on another girl when he's already engaged, but the show paints him as a victim, and he gets off more or less scot-free. Sure, the message that an arranged marriage might not make both parties happy is valid, but they handled this situation terribly.
The right way to approach this would have been to show Bloom and Diaspro realizing that they were both deceived by Sky, break off with him, and perhaps even develop a mutual understanding. They could still make Diaspro snooty and unlikable, and have Sky work to win Bloom's heart for good. This approach would have made it easier - Diaspro could request the termination of their engagement, and then she wouldn't be in the way of Bloom and Sky anymore.
Instead, the message they sent was that if a woman is mean, she doesn't deserve the wedding she was promised, and any fallout from a prince and princess's broken engagement should be blamed entirely on her. Diaspro did nothing wrong except being mean to a peasant girl who blocked her path. Then she gets called a witch and beaten up in front of a crowd.
Yes! I never cared for Musa's voice that much. It's unrealistic (and not in a good way).
Muscular women and fat women in Steven Universe had better body types.
Even though the Winx love her, Stella shouldn't be negatively criticized for the outfits her friends try on. She's doing her best. It just gets to me when they get frustrated with her for her jokes or outfits. I feel so sorry for her. But I love every Winx member, even though I have to comment on their bad moments.
So what? That doesn't mean the Winx girls will leave her forever. Even I have a pretty annoying friend, but she's still a friend to me, and I care for her. So do the Winx.
Have to say it - it's all true and so boring too.
So true. Sky acts like a big girl.
I won't call Flora a spotlight hog when Bloom exists, but yeah, she's gotten a lot more focus in the later seasons. This is mostly because the writers know she's one of the more popular fairies due to her appearance.
She has the least personality of all the characters (an impressive accomplishment), but she's the most immediately appealing, so of course, they gave her a decent share of the spotlight while shelving the backup trio in favor of her, Bloom, and Aisha.
I couldn't agree more. Flora is the ugliest, least powerful creature. Krystal beats her, deal with it. She always thinks she has to be involved in everything.
