Top 10 Best Peanuts Characters

Snoopy
Snoopy is a character in the comic strip Peanuts, created by Charles M. Schulz. He first appeared on October 4, 1950, and often sleeps on top of his doghouse. Snoopy is the pet beagle of Charlie Brown and appears in numerous television specials as well as the 2015 feature film The Peanuts Movie.
Snoopy is the best friend anyone could ever ask for. If only a dog could do what Snoopy does. I'd want him for a pet if Charlie Brown doesn't want him.
I can relate to Snoopy in general. I like characters such as Snoopy because they know what's going on in the real world, are sane, and try to prove a point.
Oh, I love that dog! He is so cute, creative, and imaginative. And I love the Flying Ace story by Snoopy in the Peanuts movie.

Charlie Brown
Charlie Brown is a fictional character and the main protagonist of the Peanuts comic strip created by Charles M. Schulz. The comic ran from 1950 to 2000 and is considered one of the most influential and popular comic strips of all time. Charlie Brown is known for his kind nature, persistent efforts,... read more
Charlie Brown deserves to be No. 1 on this list. The reason he isn't is because he is not as famous as the current No. 1.
You deserve to be number one even though you aren't my favorite. Why am I talking to Charlie Brown?
Admit it, we have all felt like Charlie Brown at some point in our lives.
-
Linus Van Pelt
Linus is the best character in Peanuts. He's the logical one, smart, cute, and funny. Sally's affection towards him is just too cute, and I think his affection for his sister is also cute, even though she's horrible and bossy toward him.
I like his relationship with his blanket, and he even gets into a scrap with Snoopy when he stole it from him.
Linus perks up the cartoon and brings charm to it. I have loads of Linus merchandise and see him as a strong character, maybe even stronger than Charlie Brown and Snoopy themselves.
Linus is a happy-go-lucky little optimist and a great problem solver, always there to advise his friends when they're in trouble.
Linus is very popular and entertaining - more entertaining than Snoopy. I find Snoopy quite boring.
Linus needs to move up.
-
Lucy Van Pelt
Lucille "Lucy" van Pelt is a character in the syndicated comic strip Peanuts, written and illustrated by Charles Schulz. She is known for her bossy attitude, psychiatric booth, and frequent squabbles with other characters, especially Charlie Brown. Lucy first appeared in the strip in 1952.
Lucy is my favorite Peanuts character. She's really a good character.
-
Woodstock
Woodstock is a fictional character from Charles M. Schulz's comic strip Peanuts. He is a small yellow bird and is the best friend of Snoopy, the strip's iconic beagle. Woodstock communicates in a unique script of short lines, which only Snoopy seems to understand.
If you don't know who that is, it's Snoopy's yellow bird buddy that hangs with him.
He is a bird that hangs out with Snoopy. He is a fun character like Snoopy.
He's quite funny and brings out the funny in Snoopy.
-
Peppermint Patty
Patricia "Peppermint Patty" Reichardt is a fictional character featured in Charles M. Schulz's comic strip Peanuts. She is one of a small group of characters who live across town from Charlie Brown and his school friends. Peppermint Patty is known for her tomboyish personality, athleticism, and her unrequited... read more
Peppermint Patty is the best! Do she and "Chuck" ever do anything romantic? If so, what episode?
I always thought Patty and Chuck were cute together.
She is hilarious and can kick ass!
-
Schroeder
Who doesn't love this guy's playing?
You are number one in my heart. I have a blog about Peanuts called If They Were Countries, and I go through each strip and count his appearances below the strips. I love him so much.
Although I love Charlie and Linus, Schroeder is my favorite Peanuts character.
-
Pig-Pen
The best character in the Peanuts world, and I wish they did more with him.
-
Marcie
She makes a funny duo with Peppermint Patty.
-
Sally Brown
She has a very delightful voice that can brighten up a person's day. Ever since I watched Peanuts, Sally was always my favorite character in the series. I also find it very adorable when she curls up with Linus, even though Linus finds Sally very irritating.
I remember that time in the Peanuts movie when Sally gets accidentally picked up by Linus while they were figure skating. Then she said, "Ah, my sweet babboo!" And then Linus lets go of Sally's hand, and she slams into a wall of snow. Then she says, "Isn't he the cutest thing?" That was a very cute scene that I liked.
Ever since I watched Charlie Brown, I always admired his little sister Sally Brown. I always loved her design compared to the other girls in the series. She has flipped back hair (with her curl in the middle), and she sometimes has a bow in her curls, and I LOVE it.

A total weirdo and independent thinker. She was a good friend for Sally.

Franklin
Pig-Pen is not part of the actual core ten. Franklin is the only member of the core not in the top ten and needs to get there.
-
The Little Red-Haired Girl
This character isn't included often, but she plays a major role as Charlie Brown's crush in both the movies and the comic strip.
Not on a lot, but she is beautiful and amazing!
-
Rerun van Pelt
The most intriguing character in Peanuts. Pity Schulz died just when Peanuts was worth reading again.
Rerun is cute, but the reason he isn't higher on my rankings is because he joined way too late.
Best Peanuts character ever. So nice and sweet.

Patty (Violet's Friend)
-
Frieda
-
Red Baron
The Red Baron is a WWI plane that Snoopy always tries to catch as the WWI flying ace.
-
Violet Gray
Woodstock should not be number six! He is barely a character! Violet is underrated!
-
Shermy
-
Fifi
She is a dog that is only part of the Peanuts movie, but I like her.
-
Joe Cool
Who doesn't love Snoopy's chill alter ego?
-
Molly Volley
The three times she appeared were part of the '70s, the best decade of the comic. Crybaby Boobie was hilarious as her foil.
-
Andy
-
Spike
-
Belle
Belle is Snoopy's older sister.
