I currently take a Mass Communication class and during one session, I found out that the United States currently ranks 41st in the Press Freedom Index. That's incredible, and pretty absurd, but this list shows the countries with the best freedom of press, and you might be a bit surprised at the results...

The Top Ten

1 Finland Finland

In Finland, you can get 4 years incarceration for simply clicking on any website deemed "racist."

2 Netherlands Netherlands

The Netherlands has criminal sanctions for criticism of religion.

3 Norway Norway Norway, officially the Kingdom of Norway, is a sovereign and unitary monarchy whose territory comprises the western portion of the Scandinavian Peninsula plus the island Jan Mayen and the archipelago of Svalbard.

"Free speech" in Norway is "subject to police approval."
