Most Creative Animated Kids Movies
Best movie ever
A much more beautiful and immersive portrayal of Atlantis than what Atlantis Squarepantis has ever offered us.
For a movie that takes place down in the murky sewers of London, there's hardly any toilet humor present throughout, which I find to be quite a pleasant surprise. In fact, there's a lot more grossout humor in Pixar's Finding Nemo than there ever was here (though this is not to say that this movie was necessarily any better than Nemo).
The most creative aspect of this film is the worldbuilding, which combines futuristic state-of-the-art aesthetics with 19th-century architecture and designs. Also, who doesn't love seeing pirates sailing across the far reaches of outer space?
They don't just make Tarzan swing on vines like he's normally portrayed to do so, they also make him surf the mossy branches of the trees he dwells in. Additionally, they actually make Tarzan himself learn English in a realistic manner as opposed to having him suddenly do so through something stupid like the magic wind that Pocahontas had.
