Top 10 Disney Animated Movies that Need RemakesMegaSoulhero It's been almost a year since I've posted the list of Disney movies that don't need remakes. And it's also been almost a year since the Lion King remake was announced. Which was my motivation for making that list. Disney remakes can be pretty pointless, but there are actually some movies that I would like to see be remade.
The Top Ten
The black cauldron needs everything...and first of all it needs a remake but make it look good than the original because it was so dark movie! that's why this movie was forgotten because there was a lot of scenes that is so creepy and very dark
On my other list, I said that the Black Cauldron shouldn't get a live action remake. But after thinking about it, I actually think it SHOULD get a remake! I don't see why not. The original was very forgettable, but maybe more people will appreciate it if it's done in a different way! Maybe a movie like this would work better as a live action film! All they have to do is make the characters more interesting and remove Gurgi. Because Gurgi is annoying! He's basically the Jar Jar Binks of the movie. If Black Cauldron gets made into live action, it would look really cool! - MegaSoulhero
No one wants to waste their life watching crap we call remakes when we can just enjoy the classics, the classics deserve more appreciation.
No no no! I know that there's already a Maleficent movie, but that wasn't a remake. That was a spinoff. I think it would be great if they remade the entire Sleeping Beauty movie! This movie is just okay at best, so I don't see why this shouldn't be remade. One of my biggest issues was the development of Aurora and Phillip. There wasn't any! If the movie were to be remade, they could probably give the characters more screen time so we could get to know them! In the animated film, they expect us to care about the characters even though we don't know anything about them! One thing I liked about the Cinderella remake was that they developed the character of Prince Charming. So they should do the same for Aurora and Prince Phillip. Plus, it would be really cool to see Maleficent turn into a dragon in a live action film! And actually be a villain! I still don't know why they're making a sequel to that awful Maleficent movie! No one asked for it! - MegaSoulhero
Yeah, it would be nice to see a remake of this. I want to see more screen time for Aurora though. She was only shown for a few minutes in the original. - TheFourthWorld
Why would you want Disney to remake movies? They're just doing it for marketing so they would make money, they're betrayal to the clsssics.
I'm one of the people who says that you shouldn't remake movies that are already jaw dropping amazing. But Hunchback wasn't exactly a success when it came out. There were quite a lot of people who hated it. And there are still people who hate it. I feel like making a live action remake could work. Plus, I'm genuinely curious to see how they would pull it off! One of my favorite things about the movie is the Hellfire scene! That scene is brilliant! That's something that I would love to see in live action! This would probably be the most visually appealing of the live action remakes if they were to do it. I really hope that someday they make a remake of the movie! - MegaSoulhero
No movie needs live action remakes, they're just stupid compared to the originals, let's just appreciate and enjoy the originals, Disney's just being greedy.
Hercules is an objectively bad movie! It's terrible! I want to see it be an actual good movie! So a remake is very much needed! I can tell you right now, if it gets a live action remake, it will automatically be better! The designs of the characters wouldn't look stupid! Some of the monsters in the animated film look terrible! Another way they can improve the movie is taking out the gospel songs! In fact, take out the muses! All they're there for is to narrate through music which is unneeded! Another thing they could do is actually put in some funny jokes! And they should try to make the movie a little more accurate. Not 100% accurate, but accurate enough. I want to see them turn this garbage into watchable garbage! - MegaSoulhero
The characters would look awesome in live action. Especially Hades - Randomator
NO! We don't need remakes, it's just an excuse for money, and they're never as good as the clsssics and they put feminist and sexist characters on them.
Here's a list of remakes that did just as good, if not better, than their predecessors. The Thing, Scarface, The Fly, The Departed, Invasion of the Body Snatchers etc. I've also, noticed a few comments down below that keep repeating. I will assume it's you, if it's not, I apologize. It's fine to add in your own opinion but at least add in something new instead of the same thing. - RoseRedFlower
I watched this movie by accident once. The movie is okay, but not one of Disney's best. But if they were to remake it, it could be a lot better! The characters don't even have to be animals! They could have humans play the characters and maybe change up the story a little bit. While still keeping the charm and humor of the original! I'd love to see this happen! - MegaSoulhero
Disney doesn't need or deserve to make remakes of classic movies. Just leave them as they are.
Pocahontas basically sucks. But I feel like they can make it a much better movie in a live action remake. There are definitely things they can improve. They can make it a lot more suspenseful and dramatic to give it a more interesting story. Plus, I'm sure the visuals would look amazing! Since the movie is about being one with nature, the scenery would look very beautiful! I don't know who they should get to play Pocahontas, but it would have to be someone who has a strong singing voice and who looks the part. I feel like this has a lot of potential to be a good live action remake! I also hope they find a better way of Pocahontas learning English instead of having her learn it from... actually, I'm not gonna make that joke this time out of respect for Florida. - MegaSoulhero
Love this movie!
Oh for crying out loud! We don't need stupid remakes, they're never as good as the originals and they betray them and and make us less appreciated in them, and they're just a cheap form of marketing so they can make money. They're greedy.
I really hate when Disney remakes movies that are critically acclaimed and memorable. Like Beauty and the Beast. That was one of the most unnecessary remakes ever made! Sword in the Stone, however, got a mix reaction and a lot of people tend to forget about this movie. So a remake would be very necessary! And personally, I think the movie is pretty underrated! Even though I haven't watched it in years and don't remember anything about it. But I know it has a wizard and has a kid! And there's a sword in a stone that the kid pulls out. And other stuff happens. See what I mean? I really think they should remake the movie. Because it's better to remake a movie that not a lot of people know about rather than remake something that everyone knows about and one that a lot of people praise! - MegaSoulhero
No one needs stupid remakes, and Disney needs to get their act together, they don't realize their mistakes anymore.
The Rescuers sucks! There was just nothing interesting about it! Which is sad because the movie has a pretty interesting premise. But they didn't do anything exciting with it! It would make a lot of sense to remake the movie because they could probably make the story a lot more interesting! I though Rescuers Down Under was very good because it was a lot more interesting! But since the first one was kind of boring, I think they should try again. This is an older film. Things have changed since then. - MegaSoulhero
Disney is just so greedy they are narcissistic and doing no good to anybody anymore. They're just remaking classic movies into crappy live action, and they could do much better, but they refuse to.
Atlantis! A Disney movie that not a lot of people bring up when talking about good Disney movies! Because it was kind of meh. And that's a perfect reason for it to be remade! Because look at how beautiful the setting of the movie is! A setting this beautiful should be put in a much better movie! In a live action film, the visuals would certainly be amazing! There are tons of things that would make the movie a lot better! I really want to see the remake happen! - MegaSoulhero
This movie needs a good remake...i mean this animated movie is so good I love e it but the ending kinda reminds me such of titanic ending by jack and rose I really love the idea I promise if they would make remake about this it would look like titanic's ending!
What kind of idiot would make this list? Seriously, this is just a stupid attempt to make money! Disney is screwed.
This one will be interesting, I hope Disney does this
The Great Mouse Detective is one of the most underrated Disney movies ever made. This movie definitely has the potential to be a great live action film! It would probably be a lot darker than the animated film. And the mice would obviously have to be CGI. But I think it could work! I'd love for kids of this generation to know how great the movie is! Considering not a lot of people talk about it anymore. - MegaSoulhero
The classic Disney movies are great and Disney's just betraying them by making live action crap about them.
We know the plot, the only difference is live action! Disney Stop being cheap.
Night on Bald Mountain is the most important one of Disney. BRING CHERNABOG! - asantalo
I want this one to happen! - asantalo
Disney, you did it again! You lousy greedy narcissists, you're just trying to be cheap and turn the wonderful classic movies into crap, and doing a lot of advertising about them.
If Disney turns Mickey Mouse or Goofy into a live action remake, then they're really screwed and dead?
Trying to turn our favorite movies into crap just to make money.
