Top 10 NFL Teams Most Likely to Win Super Bowl LXI (2027)

The Seattle Seahawks have officially won the Super Bowl defeating the New England Patriots. Now we look ahead to next season and determine who has the best odds of winning it all.

The Top Ten
  1. Los Angeles Rams

The Los Angeles Rams are a professional American football team based in the Los Angeles metropolitan area. The Rams compete in the National Football League as a member of the National Football Conference West division. The team has won two Super Bowls, most recently in the 2021 season.

I feel like the Rams are the most complete team in the league. They were so close to beating the Seahawks in the NFC Championship game but failed to do so.

LA had an impressive season with Matthew Stafford coming off an MVP season and Puka Nacua being one of the best receivers in the league. Get the special teams fixed and the Rams are right there, honestly.

Maybe Matthew Stafford has one last Super Bowl run in him. As of February 2026, the Rams are my way-too-early favorites for next season.

  2. Seattle Seahawks

The Seattle Seahawks are a professional American football franchise based in Seattle, Washington. The Seahawks compete in the National Football League as a member club of the league's National Football Conference (NFC) West division. ... read more

I feel like it's easy to put the defending Super Bowl champions high on this list. The Seahawks are back in business after years of being stuck in the "good not great" position. Seattle has arguably the most well-rounded team in the league, and it pays off.

A nice 1-2 punch of Charbonnet and Walker at running back, JSN becoming a superstar, and Sam Darnold being decent enough. The defense is being a legit juggernaut again (see what they did to New England) like the Legion of Boom days. The Dark Side is here to stay.

Have to give props to the Seahawks. They made bold moves getting rid of Russell Wilson, Geno Smith, DK Metcalf, and even Pete Carroll, and it paid off. The Seahawks definitely have the potential to get back to the Super Bowl again.

  3. New England Patriots

The New England Patriots are a professional American football team based in the Greater Boston region. They compete in the National Football League as a member club of the American Football Conference East division. The Patriots have won six Super Bowl titles, tying them with the Pittsburgh Steelers... read more

The Patriots are officially back. The reincarnated First Order rises from the ashes of the former Evil Empire. Say what you will about their schedule, they still had an impressive turnaround after years of mediocrity in the post-Brady era. Even if they had a Charmin ultra-soft schedule, they managed to come out on top against some of the best teams in the AFC.

Mike Vrabel has returned and deservedly won Coach of the Year. Drake Maye blossomed into an MVP candidate. Sure, the Super Bowl was a complete dud for him and the Patriots as a whole, but make no mistake, they are here and they will likely be here to stay.

You can't really get too mad at them for losing a Super Bowl considering they weren't really supposed to be here this quickly. With a weak division, the door is wide open for them and they have Super Bowl experience now. Don't count them out.

  4. Denver Broncos

The Denver Broncos are an American football team based in Denver, Colorado. The Broncos compete in the National Football League as a member club of the league's American Football Conference West division. They have won three Super Bowl championships, most recently Super Bowl 50 in 2016.

This season was truly a roller coaster ride. The Chiefs' devil magic seemed to have transferred to you guys. Denver was a solid team, but they were always beatable with an inconsistent offense. They have the talent on defense to be a true juggernaut, but they lack the offensive firepower.

In the end, they lose in the most brutally agonizing fashion. Bo Nix gets a season-ending injury at the worst possible moment. Even then, they hung in there with New England, mainly due to the elements.

The issue I see, too, is Sean Payton, and it was on display in the AFC Championship game, getting too aggressive and not taking the points in a close game. In an alternate universe, the Broncos might've won it all this past season. They will probably be back, but their fate depends entirely upon Bo Nix at the moment.

  5. Buffalo Bills

The Buffalo Bills are a professional American football team based in the Buffalo-Niagara Falls metropolitan area that competes in the National Football League (NFL). The team is a member of the league's American Football Conference East division. The Bills had the longest playoff drought in NFL history... read more

The Bills are in an interesting position. Coming off arguably their most disappointing playoff loss in the Josh Allen era. They can't even blame Kansas City this time. They once again beat themselves and find new ways to lose games.

It results in Sean McDermott losing his job. The Bills end up promoting Joe Brady to head coach. With Josh Allen, they always have a chance, but it still hasn't happened yet, even when the stars aligned perfectly for them.

I want to believe the Bills get one eventually, but they wasted their golden opportunity. I imagine they'll be back again, but you're not even the best team in your division anymore. If they're going to contend, they need to figure things out quickly.

  6. Philadelphia Eagles

The Philadelphia Eagles are a professional football franchise based in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania. The Eagles compete in the National Football League as a member club of the league's National Football Conference East division. They were established in 1933 and have won five NFL Championships, including... read more

On paper, the Eagles have the talent to make it back to the Super Bowl. The only problem is the drama and turmoil on the sidelines. AJ Brown has become a toxic diva. Saquon saw a steep decline in productivity. Jalen Hurts is... Jalen Hurts. Nowhere near a top-tier quarterback.

It all came to a head in the playoffs. They lost in embarrassing fashion to a banged-up 49ers team because of their sideline antics catching up with them.

The Eagles have plenty of talent. That's not a debate, but it's concerning and problematic what's happening on the sidelines. Nick Sirianni is a total bum, and they won a ring in spite of him, not because of him. If they can get the sideline drama and tension taken care of, they have a chance.

  7. Jacksonville Jaguars

The Jacksonville Jaguars are a professional American football team based in Jacksonville, Florida. They compete in the National Football League as a member of the American Football Conference South division. The Jaguars were established in 1993 and began playing as an expansion team in 1995.

The Jaguars experienced a renaissance in 2025. No more Trent Baalke and a new coach in Liam Coen allowed the Jags to return to respectability. I never thought they'd be this good this quickly. They had their best season since the 2017 "Sacksonville" era.

While they didn't make a deep playoff run this past season, they'll definitely be back. There's a lot to like about this Jaguars team. Trevor Lawrence was playing some of his best football so far, and the defense was great as well. This is a sneaky dark horse contender for next season already with what has been done so quickly. Welcome back, Duval.

Hmm. It's too early to tell.

My guess is they need enough touchdowns and field goals to beat the other teams. Anyways.

    Jaguars 28, Seahawks 15. Jaguars 16, Eagles 7.

  8. Chicago Bears

The Chicago Bears are a professional American football team based in Chicago, Illinois. The Bears compete in the National Football League as a member of the league's National Football Conference North division. Founded in 1919, the team has won nine NFL championships, including one Super Bowl.

Da Bears are coming off one of the better turnarounds in recent memory. Ben Johnson was exactly what the team needed. Caleb Williams has arrived. This was the best season the Bears have had since 2018.

Chicago is right there again. If they can continue what they started in year 1 under Ben Johnson, the sky is really the limit for them. I have them in a similar boat as Jacksonville, coming off a strong bounce-back season. The question remains whether they can build off that or if it's a one-year wonder.

Overall, I'm very excited and confident in the Bears' future and think they can make a deep playoff run. Watch out NFC North, there's a new king of the division.

  9. Houston Texans

The Houston Texans are a professional American football team based in Houston, Texas. The team competes in the National Football League as a member of the American Football Conference South division. Founded in 1999 and beginning play in 2002, the Texans are the league's youngest franchise.

The Texans may have the best defense in the league right now. That defense last season can be described in one way: suffocating. They absolutely had the talent there on that side of the ball to win it all.

There's just one problem. The offense was abysmal. Remember when CJ Stroud was good? Feels like an eternity ago. His fall-off needs to be studied. I wanted to give him the benefit of the doubt, but he's regressed so badly.

The mission this season is simple. Get the offense and Stroud to be serviceable and the defense balling out like they have been, and they'll go far. With that defense, they are a sneaky dark horse candidate to come out of the AFC.

  10. Los Angeles Chargers

The Los Angeles Chargers are a professional American football team based in Los Angeles. The Chargers compete in the National Football League as a member club of the league's American Football Conference (AFC) West division.... read more

The Chargers are close but not there yet. Jim Harbaugh at least gives the Chargers a fighting chance. You know they will be a consistent playoff contender. The issue is that they have to win playoff games. Justin Herbert's playoff resume continues to look horrible.

Maybe Mike McDaniel can rejuvenate this offense next season. Assuming the Chargers can get Alt and Slater healthy and back to form, then they'll have a shot.

The biggest problem with them is that there are so many "ifs." On paper, this team should be competitive as long as they stay healthy. They just have to clear a bunch of hurdles and take that next step forward.

  11. The Newcomers
  12. ?

    Indianapolis Colts

The Indianapolis Colts are an American football team based in Indianapolis, Indiana. The Colts compete in the National Football League as a member of the American Football Conference's South division. The franchise has won two Super Bowls, following the 1970 and 2006 seasons.

Daniel Jones, will be back next season. They were good, until he got injured.

  13. ?

    Minnesota Vikings

The Minnesota Vikings are an American football team based in Minneapolis, Minnesota. The Vikings were founded as an NFL expansion team in 1960 and first took the field for the 1961 season. They have made four Super Bowl appearances but have not yet secured a championship.

  14. The Contenders
  15. Kansas City Chiefs

The Kansas City Chiefs are a professional American football team based in Kansas City, Missouri. The Chiefs compete in the National Football League as a member club of the league's American Football Conference West division. They have won four league championships, including Super Bowl titles in 1970... read more

With Patrick Mahomes predicted to be back Week 1, I have a feeling Kansas City will have a far better year than their last one. I kind of expect a win over the Chargers and Broncos, and maybe multiple wins. However, whether they win the division, considering how clutch Denver has become, is no longer certain. It is now a toss-up.

I'd like to see us get back to the big game, obviously. We should be better than last season, assuming we get Mahomes healthy again and an actual running back. The McDuffie trade was interesting, to say the least. We'll see what happens. Right now, I'm just not sure if we can make it happen.

  16. Detroit Lions

The Detroit Lions are a professional American football team based in Detroit, Michigan. The Lions compete in the National Football League as a member club of the league's National Football Conference (NFC) North division.

The Lions had the worst season in recent history but still finished with a winning record (9-8). They will have a new OC and DC and an easier schedule. The Lions may lose to the Bears, but the schedule next season is easier than the last.

They have not been to the Super Bowl since they won the championship title in 1957. That's over 60 years. What will happen in 2027?

    Lions: 17 Patriots: 7

    Lions: 26 Chiefs: 14

These scores may happen or not.

  17. San Francisco 49ers

The San Francisco 49ers are a professional American football team based in the San Francisco Bay Area. They compete in the National Football League as a member of the National Football Conference West division. The team was founded in 1946 and has won five Super Bowl championships.
