223 Split Enz

Split Enz are truly the most iconic Kiwi band with the most hits per artist in APRA's top 100 kiwi songs (followed by Crowded House and Dave Dobbyn) and are also the parent band of Crowded House, Schnell Fenster and Citizen Band among others. They formed in 1972 and even if I don't count their four 70's albums (Mental Notes, Second Thoughts, Dizrhythmia and Frenzy) there still a lot to love from the 80's, True Colours and Time and Tide stand out for me. If you hear I Got You and you're not singing along by the chorus then there is actually something going wrong for you.

224 Eagles Eagles The Eagles are an American rock band formed in Los Angeles in 1971 by Glenn Frey, Don Henley, Bernie Leadon, and Randy Meisner.

The best American Rock Band ever! Their best songs were in the 70's. Hotel California one of the Best Albums! Don Henley and Glen Frey had hit songs in the 80's!

This list is invalid with Eagles at 244...who makes this up?

One of the best all round bands of all time.

Really 258?

232 Husker Du Husker Du Hüsker Dü was an American rock band formed in Saint Paul, Minnesota in 1979. The band's continual members were guitarist/vocalist Bob Mould, bassist Greg Norton, and drummer/vocalist Grant Hart.

The best band of the 1980's. Period! The principal influence of...The Pixies, Nirvana and Green Day to mention but a few. One of the Huskers, Bob Mould, one of the world's greatest guitar players, is known as the Godfather of Grunge. Check out Zen Arcade; New Day Rising and Flip Your Wig. All 10/10.

THE BEST! A band that should have gotten more attention.

233 The Lemonheads
234 Earth, Wind and Fire Earth, Wind and Fire

Faces was a very good album, Raise was a good album, but after that, they simply did not replicate the brilliance of the Seventies work... Easily one of the best bands EVER! Their horn work is still legendary!

Does no one listen to their music? You must all be crazy!

238 China Crisis

Incredibly underrated... Their albums from Flaunt the Imperfection, What Price Paradise, Diary of a Hollow Horse, to Warped By Success represent as good a run of albums as almost anyone! Brilliant music and lyrics that gave you a lot to think about and enjoy!

Easy listening with such classic songs "Black Man Ray", "Hanna Hanna", "King in a Catholic Style", "Wishful Thinking", "African White". I think they're the more subdued version of O.M.D. definitely underrated.

239 Kansas Kansas Kansas is an American rock band that became popular in the 1970s initially on album-oriented rock charts and later with hit singles such as "Carry On Wayward Son" and "Dust in the Wind".

Kansas' best songs are better than any other band's - even The Beatles. But even though they did some great stuff in the 80s, their very best songs to me were outwith that decade, especially "The Wall" and "Dust in the Wind" from the 70s, and "the Coming Dawn" from their 2000 album. These were prog rock numbers which made Kansas something very special. In the 80s they were a good AOR band.
