Greatest Male Rock Singers of All Time

The Contenders: Page 5

81 Brendon Urie Brendon Urie

This list is mostly full of older singers. The reason why people like Brendon Urie are this low is because no one will look past legends like Freddie Mercury. I know Freddie was amazing (as I am also a fan of Queen), but some of the newer artists are just as amazing. Brendon has an incredible voice, and I think more people should realize that.

82 Steve Walsh

Kansas gets no love anywhere - it's insane. Steve Walsh - definitely top 10

83 Benjamin Orr Benjamin Orr Benjamin Orzechowski, known as Benjamin Orr, was an American musician best known as a singer, bassist and co-founder of the rock band the Cars.

Ben was badass! He was the voice of the Cars...
Something a lot of folks don't realize. Loved his voice!

I just love him. He was a great singer, a great guitarist, and a complete angel, inside and out. A great musician and a great person. It makes me sad that he died in 2000 from pancreatic cancer. R.I.P. sweet Ben. You will be missed by many.

Benjamin was the total package: talented, humble, sexy, funny. #BenjaminOrr #neverenough

86 Kip Winger

This dude still sounds amazing!

87 Devin Townsend Devin Townsend Devin Garret Townsend is a Canadian musician, songwriter and record producer. He was the founder, songwriter, vocalist, and guitarist in extreme metal band Strapping Young Lad from 1994 to 2007 and has an extensive career as a solo artist.

One of the great under-rated Metal singers of our day.

88 Steve Garrigan
89 Peter Rivera
90 David Gilmour David Gilmour David Jon Gilmour is an English singer, songwriter, composer, multi-instrumentalist, and record producer. He joined the progressive rock band Pink Floyd as guitarist and co-lead vocalist in 1968.

He might not be the most talented singer, but he makes do with the chops he has. He's got a down-to-earth voice and an emotional flare that few can replicate. He's not top-10, but he's better than most give him credit for.

91 John Farnham John Farnham John Peter Farnham, Jr., formerly billed as Johnny Farnham from his professional debut in 1967 until 1980, is an English-born Australian pop singer.

Of all those listed here: REALLY?! How can Michael not be at the top? At least 3 or 4? Really? Do you people even LISTEN to music anymore? Wow! So unfair!

Fantastic voice, great performer... The best!

99 David Byron David Byron David Garrick, better known by his stage name David Byron, was a British singer and songwriter, best known as the lead vocalist with the rock band Uriah Heep in the early 1970s.

The original Uriah Heep vocalist - no one comes close, except maybe Freddie Mercury, but that's it!
