Honestly, I used to hate Snape. A lot. I was really disappointed when Quirrell was the one who was trying to steal the Sorcerer's stone when I was damn sure it was Snape. Seriously, that guy was so mysterious. Even the Golden Trio doubted him. But as the story progressed, secrets were revealed. Shocking secrets. And when he died, I cried buckets. And viewing his memories in the Pensieve just did not help because by the end of that, my house was flooded. Now that I watch the movies again I can't help but look at him with awe. Oh, what I would have done to be the one to kill Voldemort!... I really need to stop getting attached to stories/movies.
When Snape died, I cried my head off. I loved this character for a while. When I heard Snape's life as a kid, I hated James Potter so much I wanted to smack him in the face. Really, he is much more handsome than Severus, but still, he's mean and Lily should not have married him. At the start, I hated him. He just seemed like he hated Harry, Ron, and Hermione from the start for no particular reason. But when he saved Harry, I started liking him a little. When I heard his backstory, I began to love him. By the time he died, I liked Snape a lot and cried so, so much when he died. I don't think Snape should have died. He should have lived and been Harry's parent, if he was extra nice. Snape was my favorite character. I seriously love him and think that it is right for him to be here.
Snape's death was very, very sad. I hated Snape when he first got introduced in Sorcerer's Stone. He was a hater, and terribly mean to Harry. for a while, I just thought that Snape was terrible to Harry for no reason, which infuriated me. I thought it was him trying to steal the Sorcerer's Stone. I just hated his cold, cruel, racist, Slytherin ways which made him seem super duper terrible. And he challenged Harry so much! As the story went on, I saw no change in Snape and hated him as much as I had before. In the fifth book, in my humble opinion, I had thought he'd never change and be a cruel jerk for the rest of the series. But I was wrong. All this time, I had had no intention of anger for James Potter. But soon, I heard Snape's backstory about James. How he was such a loathing bully to Snape, and how Snape only loved Lily and wanted her love back. Then I began to like Snape, hate James. At Snape death, I cried all night. Especially in the movie. I liked what he said last, "You have ...more
I've read the books and, if I'm going to be unbreakably honest, I was worried sick to see how they would handle Snape's death. Alan Rickman was revolutionary as Snape, and I was sorry to see him go in real life and in this film, so I honestly didn't know what to think of the build-up to this scene. But, I have to admit, this death and the way it plays out and impacts on the story is fantastic: JK was probably building up to this moment in the entire series (She admitted Snape's was the story she had planned before she even finished the first book! ), and I have to say that it was done beautifully.
Yikes, this list is messed up. It says those who DESERVED to die, not those who DIDN'T DESERVE to die, like how Dumbledore didn't. He was such a great, kind, smart, and calm person. There was a good reason why he did everything. Fight me.
Albus Dumbledore has become one of the most controversial characters in the Harry Potter series. Everyone knows him as the great man who gave Harry a home and was always there to help him, along with being the strongest wizard in the world. But he was actually a very disturbing character.
When he was young he decided he wanted to become a dictator over muggles and plotted with his friend, Grindelwald, for the two of them to rise to power and rule the world. When he came to his senses and defeated his friend in combat, he was considered a hero.
When Harry was orphaned, he left him in an abusive household for the first ten years of his life. He was verbally and emotionally abused, and Dumbledore left him. When he finally brought him to Hogwarts, it was only to raise him to later be killed to stop lord Voldemort.
Dumbledore is considered evil by many and highly disturbing, but I believe that he actually had the best death in the series. He was only allowing Harry to ...more
Dumbledore was a great man, but didn't have a great plan. He based everything on sheer luck, and who just tells a person, "Hey, Severus, when Harry Potter comes back after being gone, just give him all your memories-especially the one we talked about that piece of soul that latched onto him." I'm sorry, but he just always ticked me off with his calm, I-know-everything attitude. But I still cried at his death... Harry's crying... so sad... *sniffles*
I don't get how any of these are the best deaths, but Dumbledore and Severus are some of my favorite characters. I cried and cried when Dumbledore died. I was completely and utterly shocked. Severus, how could you?
I can't even...my hurt hearts thinking about his death. I was debating between snape, dumbledore, fred, and dobby but sirius... I just can't describe how upset I was and still am. He was so awesome...he had such a ruff life and harry was the one who lit up his day, even if it was because he saw him as james. Sirius was truly close family, closer than dumbledore in my opinion. It was so depressing, makes me cry. I love sirius. My order would go like this
When he fell through the veil I felt calm. But when I understood he died I was heartbroken because a character so amazing should not have died. But since he had a horrible childhood and got betrayed and friends dead and all that, he got to see his best friends James and Lily and got joined by Remus. He is number 1 death.
My list is:
Barty Crouch SR( a bit)
I had to reread that line several times. Only Umbridge beats my hatred of Bellatrix Lestrange. I cried so hard. Sirius had had such a rough life. He'd been cooped up in Grimmauld Place for about a year. The only thing that lightened his day, that made his life worthwhile, was Harry. And it was heartbreaking when Sirius died because of Harry's reaction also.
When you start the third book you think Sirius is a bad guy. When you finish Sirius might become one of your favorite Harry Potter characters.
From my experience with the third book
Dobby was just so kind and sweet, and I always wanted to hug him. When Bellatrix killed him, I felt like putting crucio on her and watching her writhe around on the floor in pain. And Dobby's death was very, very, sad in the movies. I cried all night. At least Luna gave a heartwarming speech. If I was there watching this all happen, I would grab out my wand, put crucio on Bellatrix for a long time, then I would avada kedavra her and kill her.
I know Dobby was one of the best characters and it shocking and sad when he died but remember this was a war and was in the darkest book of the series.
I know we wish it could've been someone like Rita or Umbridge or even suddenly find out that Marge had been killed.
But sadness happens it's not all happiness.
When you're sitting in a cinema and sudenly Dobby dies and you burst out crying and evryone stares at you, it's just plain sad. Sure Snape died and that was sad, but Snape did some bad things and just because he always loved Lily doesn't mean that his death was the saddest. Dobby was the most innocent litle creature and he died fighting a battle that was not his own.
Harry: Just promise me one thing.
Harry: Never try to save my life again.
Just letting that sink in.
It's okay to cry now.
I'm sorry fred had to die I read a thing about George after Fred died. It was there birthday and George and Fred always raced for the first slice of cake and George raced to grab it and then remembered his brother who had been beside him his whole life. After opening presents George always turned to Fred and commented. When no one was there he hugged his mom and cried. I feel so bad for george but I'm the cursed child I want george to be in it and I also want fred to be a ghost
It was so sad to see him die! Not only was he the best prankster, he was also a loving brother as well as a loyal friend to Harry. Both of the twins made the entire book series so happy and joyful and it was just cruel to let George suffer. I understood that J.K. rowling didn't want to kill the other Weasleys but still! Plus, Fred was being really nice to Percy before he DIED! And if Harry could come back to life. Why can't everyone else that died come back too?
RIP Fred! I loved you so much! And guys, you will not believe this but almost the same thing happened with the twins and me. I am, myself, a twin sister (or used to be). Four years ago, my twin, Helen, died of cancer. Me and Helen were both twelve. I still mourn her death, so I know how it feels. That is why george is one of my favorites, because he got through what I got through with Helen (by the way my name is Eleanor).
I love Fred. He is one of mah favorite characters in the Harry Potter series. I like him more than Potter himself.( I don't care that Harry Potter is the main character)
Lord Voldemort was such a clever, cunning villain. I don't think I'll ever meet another villain like him again. It was such an intense moment when Harry beat him. But his death was the thing that reminded me that the series was now done, which made it one of the most memorable deaths.
His death was awful in the films. They made it into a lame action scene which made no sense. In the books Harry was not afraid because he knew he had won, and Voldemort was the cornered one.
Best death. Not only because the most evil wizard of all time was dead but because he died a normal man, showing he wasn't as powerful as he (and everyone) thought.
Yeah! I loved when Voldemort died! I wish I could put crucio on him for five hours then kill him! His death was happy, not said.
I cried so hard at her death she is my idol yeah I may be a little bit crazy don't judge I have always respected her I agree with her and the Malfoy's ways of how to treat muggles and half bloods R.I.P Bellatrix
She was horrible, but you have to admit, she was mental but awesome. "I killed Sirius black" the way she said that was like a happy tune.
I celebrated because she DESERVED to die for what she did to Sirius and Dobby. Harry should've killed her in Book 5.
I just can't get over the fact that she got her ass kicked my ron's mother. I laughed my ass off when that happened
Stop talking about twilight, Cedric is not Edward. Robert Pattinson is a great actor he just had no passion in twilight. Cedric is the purest character in the whole Harry Potter franchise. He is the rightful triwizard champion, Harry only got away Voldemort because of twin wands. Cedric is the third biggest impact to Harry under dumbledore's death Andy Sirius' death. In my opinion he is the most underrated character in the Harry Potter.
Sorry but this needs to be the number 1 death, I legit cried when this happened with his dad and harry and everyone crying over him...
Cedric! How did you get killed by that wreck of an idiot WORMTAIL!? His death was sudden and undeserved, and it really shouldn't have happened at all. Why did you have to die, Cedric, WHY
His death was by far the saddest and how do people honor his sacrfice? They make fun of his house. Honor him by not hating Hufflepuff because Diggory was a true Hufflepuff; loyal, fair and hardworking.
Why is her death just ruddy number 10?!?! She died a hero! It was also really sad because if she hadn't died, Harry wouldn't be an orphan. Her death was just depressing too because she died because Moldevort wanted to stop the prophecy, which he didn't achieve anyway. I just think she deserves a better spot than Quirrell.. His death was literally just;
QQ- I want the stone!
QQ- Imma taske it from you...
HP- NO. *touches head*
QQ- Ooh noo!
While Lilys death made the story what it was. Quirrell's death was just "oh, Quirrell's dead" *shrugs*
While without Lily's death would be completely different.
Without this woman the series would be pointless because Harry would be dead. DEAD people!
On the bright side the actor who was Uncle Vernon passed away two years ago.
What's wrong with you Connor?! He wasn't really Vernon and this is Lily were talking about! D:<
I mean, come on. He died because he'd lost skill because he'd spent many months under protective charms protecting his wife and child. His death made werewolves less underrated.
He was the best werewolf ever! I bawled so badly when Harry thought he and Tonks were sleeping.
It was just really sad. Think about it. He spent four years with Harry Potter...
I wove Lupin and thought I would flood da house I was crying so hard.
Yep that's his first name, Google it or Harry Potter Wikia.
Its like what is Moaning Myrtles real name well its Myrtle Elizabeth Warren
His first name is Quirinus? Really? Laugh out loud it sounds like his parents had brain damage.
- Linna Lovegood, Ravenclaw 3rd year
Idiot. A good actor though!
Yes he actually deserve it because he faces death and trying to kill all the students in hogwarts
There was no point in killing her! They could have just put her on a few scenes and leave out her death, have Harry leave her at the wedding and later show that she's being taken care of by the Weasleys
I cried when Hedwig died. She was such a cute and loyal owl and I love animals so much and it was just so upsetting to see her die.
Why is this adorable owl's death so low? Hedwig was so cute, and she was Harry's pet. And it was SO upsetting when she died!
Why would she have to die!? Hedwig is the best pet that she died just to save Harry. I wish I have a pet like her. T_T
WHY?!?! Well, actually I know if he lived the entire story would change but WHY?!?!?!
He was a bully
I was sad when he died.
He should've died painfully. Backstabbing heartless lowlife... *seethe, seethe*
How do you manage to destroy all of your friends lives? Sirius? James? Lupin?
You deserved worse.
Traitor! Rat! Other words I wish I could say! (But this list is probably somewhat family friendly) JUSTICE!
Showed that he had not lost his true loyalty to his friends deep down, when he refused to stop harry.
Voted by mistake.
Feel no remorse.
Hurry up and die already!
Tonks is absolutely my favorite character. I agree with you about how could you kill your own niece. How dare Bellatrix still think that Tonk's mother was a blood traitor. And that she looked down on pure blood family that married muggle borns. the Term Blood traitor could have easily been turned back on Bellatrix after she killed Sirius. There literately from the same family. Same blood. If anyone should be called a blood traitor it's her. Killing her own family. What in the world was she thinking! Very Crazy Character and in the cool way like Luna Lovegood crazy. :'(
R.I.P. , Nymphadora. Teddy will be loved and well taken care of.
"Don't call me Nymphadora! "
She and Remus need higher spots! Especially above Wormtail, that evil little...
She was killed by her aunt, with her husband, after about a month or so after her new born Teddy Lupin...
She died seeking revenge. by the way, my favourite characters are Moony and Dora. They fit. Hey Moony, hey Dora.
Yall probably wondering how she died according to Wikia "In her final year of schooling Lavender joined the reconstituted D.A. to oppose Death Eater control of Hogwarts and fought in the Battle of Hogwarts. During the battle she was savaged by werewolf Fenrir Greyback and died of her injuries."
Does it specifically say whether or not she died in the book. They made in clear in the movie..
Why lavender!? I cry when I see it!
Feel sorry for her
The basilisk was so awesome! I voted for him
I forgot to say R.I.P. , nah, I won't say it.
Just saying crabbe died not goyle if you've only watched the films then you've got it wrong. Crabbe was the one who set the room of requirement on fire, not goyle
I thought he was always a bloke. But I have to say his death was poor.
It was because of when Draco was crying..
All by himself poor man
Come on, Nagini was cool! I would love to have her as a pet! Why did Neville have to come and murder her? I hate Neville ever since.
Nagini is a she! I was pissed off that Neville killed her, but it was still a good death. Also, when did lavender die?
It was awesome the way he died. Neville Longbottom did one of those movie dives and cut his head off. Well done Neville
It was sad because it caused voldemort to die which means the series dies too. Voldemort is what made this series guys
Well he did get soul sucked. Poor guy.
Death eater… I guess I can pity him a bit cause his father didn't really love him, BUT STILL!
That annoying boy with the camera.
Yes he did die, in the seventh book.
He was just a little boy.
Wait how did he die?
Malfoy If you insult Buckbeak one more time I'll make sure your dead. Why did they have to add that to the book? Why couldn't be one of the other ones. Then Hermione used her time turner so that Harry and her could(Ron had a broken leg) save Buckbeak and black.
When I thought she was really dead I thought. B-but Buckbeak is a new character. She can't die.But I was happy with the ending!
Buckbeak is not dead but he should still be on a list (fight me haters)
He is not dead!
I did not like him
