Top 10 Best The Legend of Zelda Items

From ancient tools and powerful weapons to magical instruments and unique gadgets, Zelda items have always added layers of excitement, strategy, and mystery to each game. Some items are legendary in their own right, making you feel like a true hero when you get your hands on them, while others might seem simple at first but prove essential when it matters most.

This list is all about celebrating the very best items that The Legend of Zelda has offered throughout its storied history. Think about which items have been the most fun to use, which ones have changed the way you approach a puzzle or boss fight, and which ones have become iconic symbols of the series itself. From swords and shields to magical tools and gadgets that let you soar, shoot, and solve puzzles, there's no shortage of amazing options to choose from.
The Top Ten
Double Clawshots

Come on! It's two Clawshots! No other item in the entire Zelda series is as useful as this item. I mean, think about how often you get to use it outside of its dungeon.

People can be like Spider-Man with these badass things. You can go to one place, then go to the other place, but you can't do that with a regular Hookshot!

It sucks that they are only in Skyward Sword and Twilight Princess. Hopefully, they will return in the next 3D Zelda game.

The Master Sword

Link would not, could not have completed any of his quests without this item. Some may say, "But he has other swords!" but we true heroes know better. Do "other swords" release blasts of magic energy? Do "other swords" have the same ability to take Link through time? Finally, are any other swords so powerful and pure that they are literally called "The Sword of Evil's Bane"?

Literally the only reason the timeline makes sense. Sure, Link didn't use it in the very first game made, but Skyward Sword explained how he got this iconic weapon. It might not be the most fun to use, but it's the most important.

The Ocarina of Time

The Ocarina of Time, most definitely. I think this item is the only reason that most people even know of ocarinas, because heck, even I went out and bought an ocarina just because it inspired me so much.

In my opinion, the Ocarina of Time in Majora's Mask deserves its title more than the one in Ocarina of Time because it gives you the ability to travel through time.

I love it. It's a main part of Ocarina of Time and Majora's Mask. Plus, the sound is great and the songs are classic.

Bow and Arrow

Ah, memories of sitting somewhere unseen and just picking off enemies. Or riding through Hyrule Field on Epona and shooting the enemies you can't run over. Seriously, the bow is the most useful item out there, along with bombs.

Link becomes Snipes McGumphery when he has this item. I mean, sniping enemies from any position. Also, elemental arrows are incredible. The bow is best in Twilight Princess because of bomb arrows and the cool camera angle.

All-time favorite item ever. I can't think of anything better to use. They even upgrade to silver arrows. Nothing beats arrows infused with light. Nothing.

The Boomerang

Behold, the only way to make it half an hour into A Link to the Past without the Buzzblobs wreaking havoc.

The Twilight Princess version of the boomerang is the best because not only can it lock onto five targets, but it can make a small

Beetle

The Beetle is the best! But I'm kind of sad that they have only used it in one Zelda game, Skyward Sword. The Beetle was a very useful gadget for collecting objects and hitting things from afar. It was also really cool because you could manually control it.

I like it because I can pick up stuff and control it while also being able to see what was ahead of me. I hope they bring it back.

You get to fly around an awesome-looking mechanical bug, cutting ropes and dropping bombs on enemies. So awesome!

Bombs

Look at this. I found a secret doorway.

Hylian Shield
Roc's Cape

The Roc's Cape may not give Link the ability to literally fly, but it still has plenty of other useful purposes, like gliding and jumping. This is one of the things that made the game fun for me.

I love Roc's Cape, especially in Minish Cap when you can do that midair downward thrust just like in Smash Bros! By the way, the Clawshot is way better than the Hookshot.

Deku Leaf

The Deku Leaf is the best Wind Waker item. I cannot tell you how many times I used that thing outside of its dungeon. No matter what happened, my Deku Leaf was always equipped.

You can glide with it and it can blow away enemies.

The Newcomers

? Sheikah Slate

It does everything.

It's the equivalent of ten items in one.

And the bombs are free!

? Mogma Mitts
The Contenders
Bomb Arrow
Dominion Rod

Decent item with great use in the Temple of Time.

Bottle
The Mirror Shield
Spinner

I just got this item today. I'm very happy. Now excuse me while I go kill a giant bone goat head with a spinner that flies across the room. Because that is fun.

It's just amazing how I can "ride the rails" with this thing. It deserves to be number one.

This item is fun and cool even though it isn't that useful outside of the Arbiter's Grounds.

Bunny Hood

It made getting the Mask of Scents (don't know what it does, though) easier.

I love that hood. If I am not transformed, I'm wearing the Bunny Hood. I also like how you get it.

Ball and Chain

Doesn't it feel good to swing one weapon and knock down an entire row of enemies? Ball and chain for the win.

The way you get it is awesome, and the way you use it is awesome. There is nothing wrong with it!

Magic Cape

Not just invisible, it made you invincible. Your only concern when wearing it was falling in a hole. Let the boss slaughterfest commence!

You are invisible and invincible.

Longshot
Fierce Deity's Mask

It's the most powerful weapon in Zelda history. It's overpowered. I'm beginning to think that everyone who voted for other items has never played Majora's Mask before.

No doubt about it, the most overpowered item in the Zelda series ever. It should at least be placed in the top 10 because of how fun it is to use!

This item is the best. Although you achieve it late in the game, this item will be remembered for a long time to come. This item deserves to be first.

Zora's Flippers
Pegasus Boots
The Hammer
Biggoron's Sword
Cane of Somaria
